This is a truly great film and a great upgrade from the previous blu-ray release.

The last great movie from National Lampoons
on November 3, 2008

Unfortunately, National Lampoons has had a downward spiral from great films like Animal House to many poorly done direct to video flops. However, this is not one of those flops. This is probably the last truly funny film that National Lampoons has produced and I would recommend it.

A decent film with a decent transfer
on November 3, 2008

I think this reviewer said it best, "'We Are Marshall' is yet another well-meaning, inspirational sports movie based on a true story. Yes, it's cliched, and yes, it's shamelessly manipulative, but for whatever reason I found the gooey sentimentality a bit easier to swallow this time around. And good luck trying not to shed a tear by film's end."

You got a perdy mouth

As Ned Beaty once said, if you are ever offered a roll in a film and the line "squeal like a pig" appears anywhere in the script, turn it down. The actor to this day is remembered most for his role in this film regardless of all the films he has done prior and since this one which were nominated for Oscars, Emmy's, and a Golden Globe.
This movie is a classic, and without a doubt an iconic film. It succeeds in making the audience uncomfortable, helpless, and scared for the main characters as they are hunted and attacked by the local natives.

This is a great movie and an instant classic. It shines with the best of the genre. The transfer on this one is great too.

A real rollercoaster ride

I saw this movie in theaters and owned the DVD and I will say that the presentation on this blu-ray is quite spectacular. It isn't reference quality, but it is quite nice. There are moments in this transfer that are truly breath taking.
I think the movie has a great pace to it with some really memorable moments. There are also a lot of characters that you will really love, like the two funny drunks. All in all, it is a great movie and I would recommend it.

A great horror flick
on November 3, 2008

This is like the Usual Suspects for the horror genre. It is a great roller coaster ride with amazing picture and audio quality. Sony also brings over all the special features that can be found on the DVD for this one as well. Unfortunately, not all of the special features are in high definition, but a good bit of them are. I would say that any fan of this movie will not be disappointed.
What's great about it: Near Reference picture and audio quality with a good amount of special features
What's not so great: Not all of the special features are in high definition

Fans of this movie will love this realease

I am convinced that some people must be watching thier blu-rays (note no e) on a 20 year old 13 inch standard def TV since they can't seem to denote the difference in quality of a DVD.
If you are a fan of this movie you will greatly enjoy the upgraded picture and sound quality that this blu-ray has to offer.

not a very good movie

This is really just B-movie material. All in all, it doesn't seem like Halle Berry has come back from Catwoman quite yet with this one.

One of costners good films

This film is great. Although I liked tombstone and open range better, this is still a great western and one of Costner's few good films. I would recommend adding this one to your collection.

Are PS2 games compatible with PS3 console?

I want to know if PS3 will play my PS2 games before I go ahead and purchase it.
There are no longer any PS3's being produced that will play PS2 games. The 80 gigs used to, and now they don't. I think the last ones that did were the Metal Gear solid limited editions. The 60 gig PS3's also had backward compatibility. However, it was encoded with hardware as opposed to the software that the 80 gig uses and therefore had different problems with different games, as does the 80. The 60 is generally thought of as more compatible with older games than the 80. You can find lists of games that wont work with either system, but they are few and far between. As of right now, you cannot buy a new PS3 of any size that has the ability to play PS2 games unless you buy a used one.
