Fun, movie for kids.

My husband, being a Lord of the Rings fan, was thrilled when this show came out. We laughed out loud when the sporks (what is more frightening to veggies than an eating utensil) marched down the lane. It will be fun for them to have this movie in their memory when, some day, they get to see the other.

It's always great to see kid friendly movies that have good Christian messages. It's still greatly entertaining, but you see them take home something from them as well. Being from the mid-west, it was especially fun for the kids to have a movie that was form mommy's part of the country. THis show also has a hilarious silly song, "Monkey". It has to be one of my favorites.
The two stories in this show go together kind of funny, but it's nice because it has something for both age groups in one program. Again Veggie Tales has great messages and good clean fun for all ages.
This is a great price for 2 full episodes (disks). The only thing I don't like is that the case just has a plain silver end to it, so the kids can't see a picture or other distinguishing characteristics to tell that movie from the others in line. It does have the two sepertae disks though which are nice. Great shows! A must have!
Being one of the first shows they made, it is a little crude in the anmation dept, but it's message and songs make it so enjoyable, that you really don't notice. "God is bigger than the boogie man" was one my kids sang over and over, and my husband really likes the saxaphone in the song in "Daniel in the lions den". It's still his favorite.
I impatiently awaited the arrival of this movie, and to be honest was quite dissappointed. I'm sorry, but aliens (or whatever they called them) and Indiana Jones doesn't mix.
Winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Foreign Film, Ang Lee's sumptuous and romantic martial arts epic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon has been given an excellent DVD release from Sony Pictures Classics. The colors are always vibrant and alive (just check out the lush greens during chapter 25, "Li vs. Jen") and there is much depth to the many nighttime scenes as well. Picture and colors are stable throughout, though there are a few scenes in which background colors tend to slightly pulsate. Overall, the disc's transfer is superb. The film is offered in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and has been enhanced for 16 x 9 TVs. The soundtrack has been digitally mastered and there are multiple listening options, including the original Mandarin language (Dolby Digital 5.1), an English-dubbed track (Dolby Digital 5.1), and a two-channel French track, as well as optional subtitles in English and French. The DVD also contains a commentary track with director Lee and co-executive producer and co-screenwriter James Schamus. Unfortunately, the commentary track is a major letdown, due mostly to Schamus' annoying and constant sarcasm and his uncanny knack for continually interrupting Lee and turning the attention back to himself. What could have been a great extra is sadly almost ruined by Schamus' input. Included on the disc is a 20-minute Bravo making-of special called Unleashing the Dragon, which gives a nice overview of the film, with plenty of interviews of cast and crew members. There is also a conversation with actress and martial arts icon Michelle Yeoh, a photo montage (accompanied by Tan Dun's haunting score), and a short interview with cellist Yo-Yo Ma. This is a great release, though one that could be improved upon.

My Husband loves this movie. It's one of his all time favorite. Has a few parts worth fast forwarding and it gets tiring reading everything they say, but the martial arts is worth it.
