Package Description: An Academy Award nominee and National Board of Review Award winner as 2005's Best Animated Feature, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride carries on in the dark, romantic tradition of his classic Edward Scissorhands and Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Set in a 19th-century European village, this stop-motion animated feature follows the story of Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp), a young man whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride (voiced by Helena Bonham Carter), while his real bride Victoria (voiced by Emily Watson) waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict upbrings, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world - or the next - that can keep him away from his one true love. It's a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in classic Burton style.

Another Tim Burton Classic!!!

For any Tim Burton fan out there, this is definitely a must see. Johnny Depp really knows how to become the character he's portraying in the movie and he has great chemistry with Helena Bonham Carter (they were both in Sweeney Todd) which can be seen throughout the movie despite them being just voiceovers. Other than the length of the movie, I really have no complaints about this film.
What's great about it: The claymation looks great on Blu-Ray, colorful characters in the movie, interesting storyline
What's not so great: It could've have longer.

One of the funniest comedies on Blu-Ray.

I've never saw this movie in theaters and with the lack of Blu-Ray titles out there, I was curious to see how this movie turned out.
It's basically a story of a fictional character and his run-ins with a number of legends in the music industry (think Forrest Gump but music-oriented).
Nothing really stands out from a comedic aspect in the movie and as I mentioned, a lot of the humor gets repeated over the course of the movie. If you like or at least can tolerate the witty humor and some randomness, then this is a good movie to see.
What's great about it: Clever songs, cameo appearances, witty comedy
What's not so great: a lot of repetition in the jokes (it was purposely created that way though).

One of the best animated movies around!!!

Ever since I bought a high def television, I've been a huge fan of animated/Pixar movies. The CGI on this film is simply amazing in 1080p.
Once again, Pixar doesn't disappoint. The story concept seems a bit odd at first because it's a rat who aspires to be a master chef. I was a bit reluctant, but somehow it turns out to be creative genius from the makers of the film. That's one thing I've always liked about Pixar movies. The stories seem a bit out there (Toy Story, Cars, Monsters Inc., etc.) but it's that creative imagination that really brings the movies to life.
What's great about it: Great story, awesome picture quality (it is Blu-Ray after all).
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Not one of the better Blu-Ray titles.

In my opinion, you're better off watching Saturday morning cartoons. You'll get pretty much the same kind of story line. As for picture quality, it did not take advantage of the Blu-Ray's potential. With computer animated CGI and detailed cell-shading used in more modern cartoon type works, this had too much of a classic look to it. It almost negates the entire aspect of why you have a Blu-Ray player in the first place.
What's great about it: Comic book fans could see some interest in this movie.
What's not so great: Story-line was disappointing, classic carton graphics on Blu-Ray???

If you've seen the Making the Band season, then you'll be familiar with some of the tracks on the album. I gotta say that "Exclusive", "I'm the Reason", and "Co-Star" are some of the best songs in this album.
Weird but for some reason, they sound like a male version of Danity Kane. I still think that Danity Kane is a bit more polished as a group though.
Not really sure what to make out of the "hidden song"...they could've easily just put the song "Exclusive" as track 14.
It's definitely worth a listen to.
What's great about it: They actually sound like an R&B group.
What's not so great: a number of tracks didn't really catch my attention.

Steve Carrell is just downright funny.

Although I wasn't too big on a number of Steve Carrell's movies, his role in the office fits him to a tee. His character Michael is just incredibly funny in a randomly naive sort of way.
The character development of the cast throughout the episodes are intriguing and doesn't get lost within the episodes which is great. You can watch each show and take something from it, but from a character's perspective you can see how their situation changes over the course of the shows.
This is one of my favorite shows on tv and hopefully they'll have future seasons to come.
What's great about it: The series in itself is a must watch.
What's not so great: none

I didn't get a chance to see this movie in theaters, so I asked around a bit to see if it was worth owning on Blu Ray. I got the thumbs up to get this movie from many people and I was not let down by the purchase.
This film offers the original theatrical version as well as an alternate ending. Now most of the movie is exact, but there are a few alterations throughout the movie which makes the original and alternate version a bit different. Normally when there's an alternate ending in movies, it only happens in the end. This one gives you subtle clues as to how the two are different...keep an eye out on that.
Also, there's actually a lot of bonus features in the film as well. I've had the movie since they released it and I'm still checking out features I haven't quite seen yet.
One of the best Blu Ray titles available so far.
What's great about it: Great picture (duh it's Blu Ray), Great Story Concept, Alternate Ending, Bonus Features
What's not so great: none

Live never seems to disappoint.

Very fun game to have and the replay value is high especially if you have competitive friends...if not the online feature allows you to play against other players on the net.
Controls are easy to pick up. If you've played previous Live titles, not much has changed.
All-Star Weekend is a fun game mode which offers the 3-point shootout, dunk contest (a personal favorite), and the rookie/sophomore game (which isn't really all that fun to watch in real life).
Some minor setbacks on this game inclue delays on the menu options screen. The rosters in the actual NBA changes contantly so expecting rosters to be up to date might be unrealistic, but EA really needs to have updated rosters available more frequently.
What's great about it: NBA All-Star Weekend, graphics, replay value, gameplay.
What's not so great: occassional lag on menu screen, lack of EA Sports roster updates.

The Legend mode is great as it gives you a chance to create a player and allow you to build up its attributes as the season(s) progress.
The dynasty mode feature is very intricate as you go through a very detailed recruiting process.
One of my personal favorite features in the game is the saved instant replay option. I won a last minute Championship Game against UGA on a 92-yard screen pass (and this feature allows me to save that replay for bragging rights purposes).
I've always been more of a Madden fan as opposed to the NCAA titles, but I think this year this game surely beats its Madden counterpart.
What's great about it: legend mode, mini-games, saved instant replays, and dynasty mode

Definitely for a guys' movie night.

Got the movie @ Best Buy for 29.95 (Gotta love new release Tuesday).
It has a lot of what you'd expect from an action movie. The storyline had a really good theme to it. This movie didn't really have a lot of big names, which explains why the acting in the movie wasn't particularly mind-blowing, but they did hold their own and didn't take away from the plot of the film.
If you like action films with good fight scenes, explosions, and a lot of violence, this is definitely a good movie to see.
Recommended if you're watching it with the guys.
What's great about it: Great story line, good action sequences
What's not so great: Not necessarily the best acting ever
