This set contains all 26 episodes from the fourth season of Star Trek: Voyager. Each is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio. Supplemental materials include a featurette on actress Jeri Ryan, who played the character Seven of Nine, a documentary on how the special-effects team created the creature 8472, a selection of interviews with the cast discussing the memorable moments from the season, a featurette on cast member Garrett Wang, and a look at matte artist Syd Dutton, whose work appears throughout the series. This is a superb set for fans of the show.

Continue the journey into the deepest reaches of space with this feature-packed release from Paramount Pictures -- truly a must-have for any science fiction buff. With episodes presented as they originally aired in 1.33:1 full-frame and audio rendered in English Dolby Digital 5.1, this seven-disc set's wealth of bonus materials will have Star Trek fans clamoring to buy it. Beginning with "Braving the Unknown: Season 2," executive producers Rick Berman, Michael Piller, Jeri Taylor, and Brannon Braga discuss the ways in which they up the ante from season one while citing some of the season's more compelling episodes. "Voyager Time Capsule: Tuvok" offers an exclusive interview with cast member Tim Russ in which he discusses his other creative endeavors and plays a live set for viewers, and "Saboteur Extraordinare: Seska" features an interview with Martha Hackett, the actress who portrays the recurring titular character of that episode. The revealing interviews keep coming with "A Day in the Life of Ethan Phillips," and after taking a look at the science behind-the-scenes with "Real Science With Andre Bormanis," viewers can catch a glimpse into the special-effects process with "Red Alert: Visual Effects Season 2." Rounding things out are some "Lost Transmissions From the Delta Quadrant," in which Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picardo, Dan Curry, and Brannon Braga discuss their involvement with the series; a trivia track for the episode "The 37's"; and a photo gallery.

The complete first season of Star Trek: Voyager comes to DVD from Paramount Home Video. This five-disc set contains all 16 episodes originally aired on UPN in 1995. Each episode is presented with a standard full-frame transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. Closed captions are accessible. This being Voyager's first time on disc, there are an amazing amount of extras. "Braving the Unknown: Season One" contains interviews with executive producers Rick Berman, Michael Piller, and Jeri Taylor. "Voyager Time Capsule: Kathryn Janeway" is an interview with Kate Mulgrew. "The First Captain: Geneviève Bujold" contains outtakes and rare footage of actress Bujold with commentary by Rick Berman. "Cast Reflections: Season One" is a discussion with principal cast members. "On Location With the Kazons" is a desert tour with supervising producer David Livingston. "Red Alert: Visual Effects" features Dan Curry and the effects team. "Launching Voyager on the Web" is a conversation with web designer Marc Wade. "Real Science With André Bormanis" is a discussion with science consultant and writer Bormanis. "Lost Transmissions From the Delta Quadrant" is special name for the hidden Easter eggs. Paramount has done an excellent job on this long-awaited boxed set.
