This is the definitive album from Megadeth, no question. Dave Mustaine had three albums and countless ex-members to perfect the sound that Megadeth conveyed on this one. From the beginning to the end every song makes you want more. This disc has been compared to Metallica's Master of Puppets and Slayer's Reign in Blood, and rightly so. All three of these discs are essentials in any metal catalog. But for some reason Megadeth's Rust has a sound unlike the others. This was the high point, my opinion, for Mustaine and Co. He had the best musicians in the bands history backing the sound that is Megadeth. It is to bad it didn't last forever. If you are looking to buy a Megadeth disc for the first time this is the one. Enjoy.
this is the first album i heard from this band and have been hooked since. From the opener ham on the bone...ham on, ham on....to rock and roll never felt so good to "p" planet, which has a nirvana sound to it, this disc grabs your nipples and doesn't let go. gwar has put out a lot of albums with filler songs but this on this one every song sounds amazing, like it wasn't written to just be written. the may be a little vile and disgusting but that's what gwar is and i hope they will continue to rawk out on this planet called earth.
this album is an essential buy for anyone into anything associated with hard rock. the price is of this album is also outstanding. the only other album from these guys that can compete is thier unplugged album. don't get me wrong, all of thier other stuff is great, but this and unplugged are it. but if you are going to buy your first album from them this is the pick, you won't be dissapointed. this disc has it all hard charging tunes, self wallowing, which these guys do to perfection, and everything inbetween. buy it now!!!!!
