Hilarious Movie - Awesome Price
on October 23, 2008

If this movie only costs 6.99 you should stop reading and buy this now before it changes. This was one of the funniest movies from my childhood and I've probably watched it 50 times. You wont help but laugh through this whole movie!
Buy it!
What's great about it: Really great price; non-stop funny; Jim Carrey movie's are usually amazing
What's not so great: At times it's a bit far-fetched and silly
I would recommend this to a friend!

Somewhere between Funny and WOW

Borat is a tough one to review...there are parts where you wont be able to stop laughing and other parts where you'll wonder why you are watching. It is definitely a must see movie - not entirely sure you need it in your movie collection though. The plot is pretty bad but overall Borat delivers on the "funny". You have my approval to buy..
What's great about it: Sacha Baron Cohen has no limits...
What's not so great: some parts are "stupid" and not really funny

Sacha Baron Cohen's Da Ali G Show consisted of the talented actor playing three different fictional characters who managed to get interviews with such prominent public figures as Buzz Aldrin, James Baker, and Newt Gingrich. He would then ask them ridiculous questions and record what happened as the interviewees attempted to squirm their way out of the uncomfortable situation. This set contains all six episodes form the first season of the American version of the program. The set also contains extra footage not seen during the original broadcasts.

Great deal at only 24.99

Overall this is one of the funniest shows you can watch. Sacha Baron Cohen stays in character or should I say 3 characters all through the season and delivers high level people and mocks anything that he can think of. The show is really funny and my favorite character is Ali G himself. You should spend a week just watching all the shows and then buy season 2!
What's great about it: Borat, Ali G, and Bruno - 3 characters who will have you on the floor
What's not so great: Some skits arent that funny

Jim Carrey's first film with director Tom Shadyac since they teamed for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Liar Liar comes to DVD with this straightforward, no-frills release. Boasting interactive menus, production notes, talent bios, film highlights, Spanish subtitles, and a theatrical trailer, the disc was released in early 1998 when those things might actually have been considered "special features." To top it off, the film is presented in a Standard 1.33:1 pan-and-scan transfer. On the audio end, the original English soundtrack is in Dolby Digital 5.1, while the Spanish and French dubbed soundtracks are in Dolby Digital Surround. It seems the filmmakers soon became aware of this discs lack of luster. A collector's edition complete with director commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, and a widescreen transfer was released less than two years later.

Pretty OK Movie

This movie is OK - not necessary worth buying unless you are a big Jim Carrey fan. I wouldnt say dont buy it but it wouldnt be my first choice. Jim Carrey sort of plays out of his normal character.
What's great about it: Jim Carrey is a great actor
What's not so great: Not Jim Carrey's best movie

This box set contains every episode from the third season of Larry David's award-winning HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Each episode is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. Supplemental materials include a discussion with the cast and crew of the show that was held as the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Those attuned to David's particular brand of humor will enjoy this solid presentation of Curb Your Enthusiasm's third season.

You can never get enough of Larry David. He isnt afraid to say anything or do anything and doesnt treat anyone differently. This season is just as good as all of the others and if you are a Larry David/Seinfeld fan - start watching this season now!
What's great about it: The funny doesnt stop from Season 1 and 2
What's not so great: I wish there were more episodes!

Two great movies - Best Price!

This is a steal. Each movie on their own could sometimes be priced at 10.99 or 14.99. Meet the Parents for 14.99 is worth it. Great great movie with so many laughs. If you are a DVD collector you need this in your collection. Cinamatography is great in this movie too, especially the bathroom scene when he has to wear the speedo. BUY THIS NOW!
What's great about it: Meet the Parents - one of the funniest movies I've seen
What's not so great: Meet the Fockers doesnt really measure up to the first one

I wish I could give it 6 stars...

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It tells a great story and sets a great standard for how we should treat one another. Denzel always delivers a great performance in this type of role. If you love football you will adore this movie and it will become your favorite. If you dont love this movie you will still absolutely love this movie. As you will probably see everyone will give this movie 5 stars! Buy it!
What's great about it: Amazing story with great acting
What's not so great: You don't own the movie yet!

Al Pacino saves movie
on October 14, 2008
Posted by: Kaptainkosh
from New York, NY
Al Pacino has always been one of my favorite actors. After Scarface you can't not like Al Pacino. However, in this particular movie, he is the only good thing going. I think this movie is only good if you are extremely bored and have nothing else to do. The plot and story concept is very weak and there really is no build up or suspense. I give this purchase a 4.5 out of 10. If you like Al Pacino that is the only reason I say buy it.
What's great about it: Al Pacino is the man
What's not so great: The storyline isnt great - not the best movie at all
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You are going to say WOW at the end!

This is a great movie and I would have given it 4.5 out of 5 if they'd let me. The movie is at times tough to follow but if you pay attention you should be ok. I've seen it twice now since I bought it and its one of those movies you have to watch a few times to understand everything. If you like magic you should stop reading this review now and just buy it. If you like good movies you should buy it too!
What's great about it: Amazing twists and turns; great acting
What's not so great: Tough to follow at times - really need to pay attention

One of my personal favorite rappers
on October 12, 2008
Posted by: Kaptainkosh

Talib Kweli has always been one of my favorite rappers. Right after this album came out I saw him live in New York City. The album is a bit pricy at 14.99 but if its on sale I would buy it. The song "I Try" is great and has Mary J. Blige on it and the last song Beautiful Struggle has amazing lyrics. If you like Common, Mos Def and other intelligent rappers - buy this now!
What's great about it: Talib Kweli is just an amazing rapper
What's not so great: some of the songs arent so great
I would recommend this to a friend!
