I had the previous special edition DVDs of both these movies, and they were packed with extras and had fantastic quality. This new two-pack has all the same great extras as well as new stuff, and the picture and sound are exquisite. You'll either love or hate the movies. I love what Baz was trying to do and it's new and different but always has heart at the core.

What's great about it: Two packed discs in one inexpensive package
A lot of people harp on Nolan's Batman, but at least he did something different and saw it through to the end. You can ramble about Bruce Wayne giving up as Batman too fast, some shoehorned twists, and stylistic changes, but Nolan is not interested in doing "Comic book" Batman, he's doing his own thing. And I think he succeeded. Dark Knight Rises has an appropriate "dread" in its atmosphere, and Bruce Wayne's journey kind of makes sense. However, it doesn't feel as fresh or wonderous as previous installments. Remember all the fun as Bruce, Alfred, and Lucius tried to make new things and figure things out? All kinda gone, a very solitary-feeling movie. The "twist" character also doesn't seem to work really, as that person is revealed pretty much to get killed. Still a very emotional journey.
This intense release from the beloved sci-fi series Doctor Who includes five episodes from the show's seventh series, starring Matt Smith as the infamous timelord as he deals with alien invasions of earth, spaceships full of dinosaurs, and much more.
Well, my daughter and I couldn't wait for Netflix to catch up so we picked this up. Fantastic, as expected, with Matt Smith still growing on me.(still had to beat Tennant for me) The only thing I wish there was more of was extras. Sure, "Pond Life" and other such stuff is great, but I'd really like some commentaries and behind-the-scenes stuff.
