You look to the sky and remember why you are fighting, and it gives you the motivation to press on. You're fully loaded and as rested as you're going to be. It's time to step up and move back into battle. This is the futuristic world of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2. It is the world you find yourself in, and now is the time to unleash your power upon your enemy. Good luck, soldier.Back like never before, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 brings you more of the heart-wrenching wartime drama you've come to expect from the Ghost Recon franchise but delivers it with more power, greater control and fiercer battles. Updated weapons and supplies fully equip you with more devastating items, such as guided missile launchers, claymore land-mines and more. With a new and improved Cross-Com system, your attacks can be delivered with greater precision via ground attack jets, unmanned MULE drones and secondary squads. The 3D graphics delivered by the PlayStation 3 are so realistic, you'll want to hit the floor every time a missile heads your way. So grab your arms, soldier — you're going in.

I played Call of Duty4 Modern Warfare before I played Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 so I guess I had very high expectations when playing this game. Disappointingly, the game didn't meet my expectations for a couple of reasons. The fighting wasn't as intense and the game seemed a little easy. It didn't take long for me to finish the game given its limited number of levels. This is also a problem with Call of Duty 4. Ghost Recon did, however, have an excellent level where you are firing a minigun from a blackhawk helicopter. I also liked the weapon selection. The ability to control your teams of soldiers is also cool. This capability allows you to manuver and out flank enemy soldiers. At the end of the day, this is a decent game. I was just expecting a lot more after playing Call of Duty 4 which to me is probably the best shooter out on PS3 right now. I would recommend this game to anyone just for the experience.
What's great about it: Good graphics, Decent storyline
What's not so great: Not very intense or as challenging as other shooters
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good game

I normally don't play games like this one where you are going up against aliens but this game was one I'm glad I decided to give a chance. It has great graphics and a storyline that makes you sit on the edge of your seat with anticipation. You play just to see what happens next. This game is shooter where you aquire lots of weapons for your use as the game progresses. I'm use to playing shooters where the weapons are based on real military weapons. The alien weapons you aquire during the game take some getting use to. I had to learn when to use certain weapons and when not to. I also like the levels where you are controling different vehicles like tanks, jeeps, and alien attack vehicles.
Overall the game was good. It held my interest and challenged me enough to keep me wanting to play more. It will keep you on your toes. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who likes shooters.
What's great about it: Good graphics, Storyline that keeps you interested

The best shooter I've played on ps3
on January 27, 2008

Let me start by saying this game is awesome. By far, since I have had my ps3 this is the best game I have played. I love the realistic weapons effects and performance. For instance, the Javelin shoulder fire missile that is used to take out tanks on some levels. When fired the missile goes up and comes down on top of the target just as the real Javelin used by American armed forces would. Also the claymores have the ability to be activated by motion sensore or a remote you have. There is also a mini gun that doesn't shoot until the battery revs up the rotation of the barrels. The red dot optics are very nice because they provide fast high accuracy. There are a lot of weapons that you can use but you do not have the ability to select which weapon you want to use before each mission. That is one knock I have for this game. The ability for bullets to go through walls and other things that would ordinarly stop a real bullet is captured also. When clearing a building it is almost always good measure to put a couple of shots through the walls to make sure any enemy in the rooms don't get the drop on you. In a nutshell there was a lot of attention allocated to detail for the weapons used in the game. I love that.
The graphics are also very good. The graphics are smooth and without glitches. There is also a mission where you are a sniper in a guildy (I think I spelled that righ) suit and the graphics are exceptional. The graphics are still cartoon like but the added power of the ps3 high def capabilities make all movement fluent.
The missions provide any level of difficulty you are looking for. This is either through selecting the difficulty before starting a campaign or just through natural progression from mission to mission the game just gets more difficult. There are parts where stealth is required and parts where you are fighting as hard as you can for survival. Some levels have missions where you will need air support to keep the droves of enemy personel from overrunning your position. Air support comes by means of an attach helicopter or fighter plane. Their effects are realistic also as the helicopter can't sit there and attack a position all day and there is a limit to the number of passes the fighter plane can make. The helicopter has to go back for fuel and ammo and the fighter plane can only drop so much ordinance before it has to leave.
At the end of the day I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing shooters. This is must in your collection of games.
What's great about it: Realistic weapons, Air support, good missions
What's not so great: The games storyline is very short

I'm not a big football fan, but I enjoy playing it on game systems. I loved the previous version of Madden I had on ps2, so I figured on the ps3 it would be even better. I was wrong it took a step back in my opinion. The game seems slow to develop when running plays. Graphics are alomost identical to that of the ps2. The game developers should take advantage of the ps3 more powerful high def graphic capabilities more. Also it seems more difficult to jam receivers and bring everyone to the line to defend against the run or fall back and defend against the pass. You can do it, but it seems like it more difficult to do thus resulting in a lost of control.
What's great about it: On the ps3, Current price is cheap
What's not so great: Game development is slow, Some controls have changed

Decent Water Filter
on January 27, 2008

I have a Kenmore refrigerator which uses a filter that is not made by Frigidaire but another manufacturer. I normally had to buy the water filter from sears since Kenmore is an exclusive brand to sears I was told by a bestbuy store rep. I was curious as to if bestbuy had this particular water filter for my refrigerator and they did but it was made by Frigidaire not the other manufacturer I normally use. This water filter works just as well as the one I was previously purchasing and it is cheaper. I also get to accumulate more reward zone points as this gives me another reason to purchase products from bestbuy. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a Frigidaire or Kenmore refrigerator that uses this type filter.

Very Good Hard Drive

I use this hard drive at work to back up all my important files. The main thing I like about it is the backup software that comes with it. The software automatically backs up in any new or modified files in a particular folder once programmed to do so. This is nice because my backed up important files are always up to date and its done automatically without me pushing any buttons or even thinking about it.
What's great about it: Highly Autonomous

Best economic GPS you can buy
on October 16, 2007

I have had this GPS system for a couple of months now and I love it. I use it to find houses that I'm interested in buying. It is very easy to use right out of the box. You can also go to Garmin's website and download more vehicles to display for personalizing it. It doesn't have bluetooth or the ability to play mp3s though. I think that those things are personl preferences but not necessary for getting you from point A to point B. It also doesn't have speech to text, meaning it doesn't say the name of streets. Instead, it tells you to turn in so many miles or feet but in plenty of time to do so. This feature is also sufficient. I don't miss the "speech to text" because the street names are displayed on the screen of the GPS. It also has suffcient volume so that you may have a conversation with someone in your car or listen to the radio at decent levels. I'm very pleased with my unit and would recommend this GPS to anyone who doesn't care about having all the bells and wistles that comes with a lot of other GPS systems.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and gives very good directions. Small enough to put in your pocket.
What's not so great: No carrying case or wall charger

Decent Remote
on October 7, 2007
Posted by: setupman
from Pensacola, FL
This is good remote for controlling home theater systems. It controls my Yamaha RX-V661 reciever, HDTV cable box recorder, Panasonic upconverting DVD recorder/player, and Hitachi HDTV. Intial setup was easy. It took less than an hour to program the remote to the point where it could reasonably control all my devices with the preset functions that are standard from logitech's website. These stardard functions that are intially programmed into the remote for each device are good but they didn't capture all the functionallity I'm use to using everyday. To obtain the loss functions you must manually program the function into the remote either through a list of commands that logitech has available throught their website or through getting the remote to learn the command for the function. This could take some time to accomplish and is based primarily on personal preference.
The remote works by building activities for example watch dvd, watch cable tv, listen to XM radio, and listen to CD among others. This is primarily the area where function is lost. It really only provides minimal function for operating all devices. Each activity is made up of a set of devices needed to perform each of the activities previously mentioned. For instance if you wanted to watch dvd then you need the reciever, TV, and DVD player. Once the activity is seleced then there are a list of commands that are associated with that activity that allows you to control all devices in that activity. This is achieved via 8 buttons that get assigned fuctions that are viewed on the remote's color screen. All the activities are assigned to one of these assignable 8 buttons also. When an activity is selected then all devices in that activity are turned on and all devices not in that activity are turned off if programmed that way. This is usually the default but it is possible to change it.
The remote also has a device button which allows you to select each device which you can then use the remote to control one device at a time instead of multiple devices like in the activity mode. This is where the greatest amount of functionality is captured. I find myself going into the device mode sometimes to perform functions which were not captured in the activities. I also fixed this problem by manually adding the function to the activity later.
The rechargeble battery is a good feature I think. It eliminates the need to buy battiers now. The rechargeable battery last for me about a week. Of course this depends on how you set up the remote and how often you use it. I have my color screen set to go to sleep after 5 seconds from being activated. The max for going to sleep is 20 seconds and the battery doesn't last but 3 days that way.
The screen is also cool. It's highly understandable but has a low resolution from my research on it. This could be improved to give it a better look but as far as readability goes it wouldn't add a lot. Maybe this is the reason there wasn't a higher resolution screen used.
Overall, I have had the remote for about 3 weeks now and it has so far done a decent job replacing the four remotes I previously was using. I like it and have enjoyed the simplified number of remotes it has provided. It is not perfect but it is highly programmable. There aren't a lot of remotes out there that will provide the ability to program as easily as the logitech 880 in this price range. The remote has abilities that rival that of more expensive and complicated remotes. So for the price and useabilty I would recommend this remote to anyone who has the technical savvy and patience to deal with it.
What's great about it: Compiles all your current remotes into one. It does a good intial job of capturing most functions of your devices.
What's not so great: Doesn't capture all functions. This requires manual programming of the remote. It could take some time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
