Does what it's supposed to

I bought this item to protect the screen of my Nuvi 3970LMT, when I place it in my pocket. I am in sales, and I'm in and out of my car all day long.. Rather than leave the unit in the car and risk theft, I'm taking it in with me during sales calls. I have already had one Nuvi stolen during a overnight stay, while parked in a hotel parking lot. This small case does not protect my Nuvi from drops or the like, but it's perfectly suited for protecting the screen and finish when placed in the pocket. I have also purchased the Eddie Bauer GPS case from BestBuy. The Eddie Bauer case is larger and carries my Nuvi 3790 and all accessories, including the smaller Garmin case. Plus, the Eddie Bauer case is flat and has a low profile, which is ideal for placing it under the car seat.
What's great about it: It's good-looking & made of genuine cowhide leather & not a cheap synthetic
What's not so great: A tad pricey, but it is leather.

A great upgrade from the typical kit lens
on June 16, 2011

I just purchased this gem yesterday. I've mounted it on my D7000. As soon as I looked throughout the viewfinder for the first time, I could see a distinct difference over the 18-105 mm kit lens that came with my D7000. This lens is extremely sharp and fast. It's longer and heavier than the 18-105, but the results are well worth the added weight and length. I also like the sturdiness of the lens. It's a much better built lens and even has metal mounting, instead of the plastic mounting that kit lenses contain. I've had several DSLR's and never upgraded to a better lens, until now. This is a great lens, and will be the perfect supplement to my Nikon 16-85 mm, which will be delivered tomorrow. I just ordered it. I feel that the range of these 2 lenses will cover most of my shooting needs, although I am considering a macro lens.
What's great about it: Speed, sharpness, superior build, decent price
What's not so great: Weight

It works superbly, as it should. I gave it an average score because Apple should've included it in the iPad.

Keep your Apple iPad protected when you travel with this Truss case that features a tough, top-grain leather exterior for durability. The case easily transforms into a stand for hands-free viewing and also opens like a book for in-case viewing.

That's a Very Good Ipad Case!

This is one of the best available. The price is higher than the mid-quality cases, but it's genuine leather at a synthetic price. Many leather units go for over $100. Its attractive and professional-looking. It protects my unit so much better than the Apple case and for only about $10 more. My only concern is the elastic strap. I'm not sure it's really needed to keep the unit closed and it might wear out and snap after continued use. But, overall, it much better than the Apple case.
What's great about it: Stylish and practical
What's not so great: Elastic band's durability and need

I have had my doubts but I went and bought one. It's great and I appreciate the simple, easy-to-learn user interface. I purchased the Apple wireless, bluetooth keyboard and the Apple soft case.
What's great about it: Size, weight and ease of use.
What's not so great: ADOBE is needed. Apple needs to get this done so that we can download flash videos. Rumor has it they it's coming soon.

Much more Portable Than The Previous Sounddock Bag
on December 25, 2007

Nice product. I just wish that there was a little extra room for accessories. The design does not leave much room to spare. I guess the limitations on space are due to BOSE designers not wanting the Sounddock to have room to move around and become damaged. The tight, secure fit probably does make for better protecting the unit, itself. It is well designed and I expect to get many years of use out of it. I think that it can take the normal wear and tear of normal usage. I have used it twice, so far, during recent stays at a hotel. We are planning a trip to Jamaica and will be carrying it as a carry-on when boarding the plane. There is also a small, attached, inner compartment that is meant to house the Sounddock's bulky power supply cord. It works well, but I do think that afer continued use, there is a slight chance that it might just weaken the threading of the power supply cord compartment, thereby causing it to possibly split. This is purely speculation. Other than that, I think the bag is a good investment. It's slim, and adds to the portability of the Sounddock Portable.
What's great about it: Perfectly Designed and
What's not so great: Not Much Room For Any Accessories

Packs a Whallop of a Sound . . .
on November 28, 2007

This unit rocks hard! I'm toally impressed. I'm a newcomer to the sound of BOSE. A few weeks prior to purchasing the Sounddock Portable I stretched and purchased the BOSE in-ear headphones for my Ipod Video. They were OK. I was impressed but not totally impressed. Prior to purchasing the in-ears, I'd purchased the Shure in-ears for $99, the same price as the BOSE in-ears. The BOSE in-ears had more bass but less high tones. Plus, the BOSE in-ears fit better. My experience with the in-ears, convinced me to spring for the Sounddock. The Sounddock is excellent. It has much bass and the highs and midrange tones are solid. The BOSE product line is superior. I even tested the Sounddock at Best Buy and it did not sound impressive, probably due to the poor acoustics in the store. Get 'em home...They rock. I like the additions that the Sounddock Portable has added. The original Sounddock was too big and did not allow for use with any other electronic devices except the Ipod. BOSE figured out that you can't corner the market if you produce an Ipod-exclusive speaker system. I can connect my portable XM Radio unit to it. I also appreciate the roll-away/hide-away docking tray that the Ipod sits on. It makes for great portability. The removable battery is another great feature. It allows for carrying a back-up battery. I also ordered the Sounddock Portable's travel bag directly from BOSE. The Sounddock Portable is so new that even BOSE has they were on back order. SInce that time, I have received my bag. The original Sounddock's travel bag was almost as large and bulky as some suitcases. I could probably pack a weekend's worth of clothing in it. The new bag is slim and very practical. It's easier to carry. To summarize, the BOSE Sounddock Portable is a great unit. It's worth the money, if you're like me. I'm a gadget geek and I prefer the best. By theway, I have called Bose's Customer Service several times for various matters, they are superior. They don't try to side step the issue at hand like many other companies. They stand behind their products and will bend over backwards to satisfy the customer. There are companies that make products to sell to consumers today and they HOPE that you will consider their products the next time you're faced with a buying decision. Bose aggressively seeks out LIFETIME customers with their Customer Service efforts and superior products. Please don't hold this against me. I'm not trying to impress you by name dropping, but Bose, Rolex, BMW and even MontBlanc are all leaders in customer service and product quality. They know how to get ahold of their customers and capture them for life. Customer service is very important to me...
What's great about it: Great Sound, Very Portable & Excellent Customer Service
What's not so great: Pricey!!!!

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.

Great little Macro lens

This little lens is one of the best lower-priced macro lenses on the market, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. I just got it and I'm still learning how to use it.

Review Blunder
April 4, 2012
Sorry, but I inadvertently reviewed the 40mm f2.8 micro lens, instead of the 35mm f2.8. It so happens that I bought both lenses within a 2-month span. I apologize for the confusion. The 35mm f1.8 is an excellent, fast, sharp lens and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a fast, sharp prime lens.

Great Camera for routine use
By sburr2 from Columbia, SC
This is my first DSLR camera--or my first other than point-and-shoot camera and I love it!! The ease of use and picture quality is amazing compared to the other cameras I've owned. I have become much more interested in photography since owning this camera and look forward to improving on this product. Looking forward to buying and experimenting with the 55-210mm lens next!!

Remarkable image quality for size and weight
By Birder88 from Arlington, VA
First impressions. While I am not going to dump my bigger and heavier equipment, this lens, coupled with a V1 will definitely have a place in my photo arsenal. Its 810mm equivalent allows one to pull in wildlife while standing off, the silent electronic shutter of the Nikon 1 series does not startle the subject, and it is thus easier to get a full frame image without serious cropping. The lens can hunt a bit, but once one is in the general area of focus, adjustments within that area are fast. The VR is simply fantastic. Hand holding at 810mm equivalent at relatively slow shutter speeds is not a problem. I am very much looking forward to some wonderful experiences with this lens/camera combination.

Thanks for the great review. I'm seriously considering this lens for my V3, but I'd love to see another photo, if it's not too much trouble. Thanks!
