it works but is limited on features. I also question the overall quality of the product. I doubt that it will last as long as some of my other cameras. But, you get what you pay for.
What's great about it: it works as it should
What's not so great: limited feature set, based on low price
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great -- Especially when I got it for free from BB

I got this as part of a free package deal from Bestbuy, when I purchased my wife a Nikon D3100 DSLR. This bag readily retails for $52. This is her first and last DSLR. So, the bag is perfectly suited for a first-time DSLR owner who has no aspirations to delve deeper into the hobby. It holds her 2 kit lenses and has room for her battery charger, lens hood, extra SD cards and some. I have 3 Lowepro bags for my photography equipment, so I'm very familiar with their products. They make great bags and are hard to beat.
What's great about it: It's a LOWEPRO & it includes a buitl-in weather pouch
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great "Carry-all" Bag!
on June 2, 2012

This is one of 3 bags that I use. I use this BIG bag mainly for air travel or when I need to carry ALL of my gear. I shoot with a Nikon D7000, with an attached Nikon MB-D11 battery grip. I also have 4 different Nikon lenses (35mm, 40mm micro, 16-85mm zoom, 70-300mm zoom) and the SB-700 and SB-600 Speedlights. I also can carry either my Macbook Air or iPad in this bag, along with cables, battery chargers, batteries, memory cards, etc . . . It does it all.
What's great about it: It carries ALL of my gear and a Macbook Air or iPad.
What's not so great: Nothing

Great Flash with great feature set
on May 26, 2012
Posted by: Phillydxxx

I just purchased this today to go along with my D7000 and SB-600. I'm using it mainly for additinal off-camera, wireless lighting along with my SB-600, to compliment Nikon's Creative Lighting System, which is superb. Basically, this flash can be used in conjunction with several other off-camera flashes for great portraiture photography. The only problem is that it's 2 guide numbers down from the SB-600. Although it has multiple features over the SB-600, they reduced the guide number from 30 to 28. Why would they lower the power output on a newer, better unit, when compared to it's predecessor? Well, at any rate, I'm still happy with it's performance, thus far.
What's great about it: No overheating issues
What's not so great: Pricing -- Too high, guide number reduced from SB-600's.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Macro Lens

Great macro lense. I use it on a Nikon D7000. It performs at a premium level and for the price you can't beat it. This lens also has metal mounting, instead of plastic, so it's very durable when compared to the average kit lens that comes with most DSLR's.
What's great about it: Price and performance
What's not so great: Doesn't have image stabilization

I use this in tandem with my 70-300 VR, Auto focus. I've covered the full range for great shooting. It's a sturdy lens with metal mounting, rather than the plastic that kit lenses have. It's great for wide angle coverage and for shooting portraits.

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.

Great little Macro lens

vinyl case, perfect for carrying GPS & accessories
on July 1, 2011
Posted by: Phillydxxx

For $30, it should be made of actual leather. It is made of vinyl, and is not the most attractive case, but it's large enough to carry the average GPS unit and all of it's accessories. Plus, it has a low, flat profile, which is perfectly suited for hiding the bag under a car seat and out of sight. By the way -- a rhetorical question: "When is Garmin going to make a case that's large enough to house a GPS unit and accessories?"
What's great about it: Size and ability to house a GPS unit and all accessories
What's not so great: For $30, I'd expect cowhide and not vinyl

Review Blunder
April 4, 2012
Sorry, but I inadvertently reviewed the 40mm f2.8 micro lens, instead of the 35mm f2.8. It so happens that I bought both lenses within a 2-month span. I apologize for the confusion. The 35mm f1.8 is an excellent, fast, sharp lens and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a fast, sharp prime lens.

Great Camera for routine use
By sburr2 from Columbia, SC
This is my first DSLR camera--or my first other than point-and-shoot camera and I love it!! The ease of use and picture quality is amazing compared to the other cameras I've owned. I have become much more interested in photography since owning this camera and look forward to improving on this product. Looking forward to buying and experimenting with the 55-210mm lens next!!

Remarkable image quality for size and weight
By Birder88 from Arlington, VA
First impressions. While I am not going to dump my bigger and heavier equipment, this lens, coupled with a V1 will definitely have a place in my photo arsenal. Its 810mm equivalent allows one to pull in wildlife while standing off, the silent electronic shutter of the Nikon 1 series does not startle the subject, and it is thus easier to get a full frame image without serious cropping. The lens can hunt a bit, but once one is in the general area of focus, adjustments within that area are fast. The VR is simply fantastic. Hand holding at 810mm equivalent at relatively slow shutter speeds is not a problem. I am very much looking forward to some wonderful experiences with this lens/camera combination.
