Brian Ray is best known as being the touring bass player for Paul McCartney. His debut album, Mondo Magneto, has been described as a "pop album that rocks." Songs to listen to are "I Liked You Better" and "Soft Machine."
"Honkin on Bobo" is definitely a different pace for Aerosmith. The album, which is compiled of Blues genre music, is filled with great songs. One thing that listeners will notice is the diverse instruments that are used in this album. A great buy! Not the best Aerosmith album, but still very decent.
The first three tracks from this "Of Montreal" album flow together very well. The three songs have a solid beat and give false hopes for the rest of the CD. Unfortunately, after the first three songs, the CD begins to fall apart.... songs don't have consistant beats and the words don't rhyme, which is distracting. Not the worst CD i have ever purchased, but far from the best.
Rusty Anderson has played with countless numbers of musical arists (most commonly for with Sir Paul McCartney). With his debut album, he has created a unique sound that mixes classic rock with new-age style alternative. Songs to listen to include "Electric Trains" and "Everybody Deserves An A."
Ozzy Osbourne returns after a half-decade hiatus. His latest album, "Black Rain," tells the story of a crumbling world where people are dieing and deadliy black rain falls from the sky. Each song completes a part of the story, which makes this Ozzy album unique. A definite recommendation for anyone who likes a little heavy metal. "Almighty Dollar" is worth listening to.
The debut album by the "Scissor Sisters" includes a variety of song genres and music styles. The CD starts of with "Laura," which includes a honky tonk solo guitar, while "Comfortably Numb" (a cover of Pink Floyd) has an upbeat disco feeling. Songs such as "Music Is The Victim" and "Better Luck" prove that the sisters are capable of producing great rock songs, while "Filthy Gorgeous" can make anyone feel like having a good time.
This sophomore album by the "Scissor Sisters" is the best CD I have ever purchased. Although the band has made little progress entering the US charts, the band continues to grow world wide! Songs such as "I Don't Feel Like Dancin" and "I Can't Decide" make you feel happy while you can't help but dance! There are no weak songs on this album! A definite recommendation!
