I truly believe that "Hard Candy" will turn some folks from older generations on to Hip-Hop music. This is definitely a different approach by Madonna; I think she has succeeded. 1 - Candy Shop - Lots of drums/odd beat. Not a good starting song 2 - 4 Minutes - Most "hip-hop" sounding song on the CD 3 - Give It 2Me - 2nd Single. My personal favorite 4 - Heartbeat - Worst song on the CD... could be much better 5 - Miles Away - Great song. Will appeal to older fans 6 - She's Not Me - A very "Disco" feel. One of the best songs. 7 - Incredible - Reminds me of Britney meets Celine Dion 8 - Beat Goes On - PHENOMENAL! If you don't like rap, you won't like the 2nd half 9 - Dance 2night - Long intro, but good dance track 10 - Spanish Lesson - Out of place. Doesn't fit with the rest of the CD 11 - Devil - I have mixed feelings. Ballad with techno sounds? 12 - Voices - It is worth buying the CD just to hear Madonna's vocals on this track.
What's great about it: Phenomenal Beats, Good Vocals
What's not so great: Not For People Who Can't Stand Hip-Hop
This LIVE CD comes with a bonus DVD, which features 2 hours of footage from her London concert during the CONFESSIONS tour in 2006. In my opinion, the DVD is worth more than the CD.
Great songs on the DVD include "Like A Virgin," where Madonna spends most of her time with a robotic horse, "Disco Inferno," which has amazing coreography, and "Ray of Light," which has phenomenal light effects.
Madonna's 9th studio album, "American Life," received mixed reviews and did poorly on charts around the world. For her follow-up album, "Confessions On A Dancefloor," Madonna took a different approach to her music.... disco, dance, and glam.
"Confessions On A Dancefloor" is easily her best album she has ever done. Good songs to listen to are "Hung Up," "Sorry," "I Love New York," and "Let It Will Be." There is not a poor track on this CD.
*Also... If you like this CD, check out her LIVE "Confessions Tour" album/DVD combo.
This CD is filled with amazing remixes from Goldfrapp. As an artist, Goldfrapp is wonderful. This CD has great remixes of songs that are already fantastic. Great songs from the album include: "Strict Machine - We Are Glitter Remix" and "Ride A White Horse - Disco Odyssey Remix." The only song that is out of place... is the Benny Benassi remix of Ooh La La. Definitely Recommended!
This is, by far, the most bizaare sounding CD that I have ever purchased. There is not a single song on the CD; instead, each track is filled with random noises...
The CD includes no singing and no instruments. Each track is a mixture of offset noises that almost sound like "nails on a chalkboard." I definitely do NOT recommend purchasing this album, unless you are looking to give yourself a headache.
The Disco Biscuits are a unique group that have an electric sound. This LIVE CD doesn't have the best quality sound, which is distracting while trying to listen to the music. Some songs have strong steady beats, while others are disoriented.
This is a 2-Disc collection of Aerosmith's greatest hits. The two CDs include hits such as "Walk This Way," "Dream On," and "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing." There are a few hits that are missing from the set, such as "Shut Up & Dance." The set includes the previously unreleased recording "Girls of Summer."
