Positively Sets the Mood

I’m a huge believer in mood lighting. I know if I want to just chill to have a low watt bulb in a lamp by my bed but sometimes you just need to zap yourself awake.
The GE light bulbs accomplish that without fuss. I can adjust the brightness or dimness to my liking and holler to my Google Home to switch on the lights in a jiffy.
Next to screwing in a light bulb, these are some pretty easy smart lights to set up!
A super huge win here is I don’t have to get out of bed during cold winter nights to shut the lights off. I can do it on my app or let my google assistant know.
These will be awesome gifts for holidays and birthdays!

Easy Upkeep Body Groomer

So I’ve had a couple of body groomers and this one is primarily for my Dopp kit for traveling.
Best features is it’s double sided so one is for closer shaves and the other has a built in guard that is adjustable or fully removeable for shaping neck lines or beard lines.
It charges fast and holds battery for a long time. I buzz my hair really short so the draw back for me was that the guard only goes down to a 3 which isn’t bad since it is a body groomer. I’ll just buzz my hair with my other tool.
Otherwise it’s a pretty slick and light weight tool that is not fussy or complicated. Basically guys it’s plug and play easy to store where it won’t bother you from storing it when not in use.
I do see why they kept the guards to a 3 for the groin area just because you don’t want to have an accident that might be painful.
Great gadget for trimming up the beard during the cold months!

Great Looking and Smart

I have to say that I’m usually skeptical about changing how I get my internet and what systems I use. Only because the past has proved that old technology was not just plug and play. Linksys has made me a believer and they haven’t disappointed. With halls, nooks, rooms, storage areas, entertaining areas and the outdoors we needed enough coverage where internet would never fail and it does!
There are literally 3-4 steps in setting up your nodes and the box is super chic with a instruction manual that looks like an airplane guide but prettier. Once you’ve opened your Velop system it jumps right into setting itself up with your help through the Linksys app. You find the sweet spots in your home and the rest is just general up keep like software updates and playing with where you want your nodes.
We have about 8 nodes in our home in different sizes for different rooms. You only need a couple of nodes for a single family home but I like to be safe. Streaming 4K, playing video games, smart home lights, smart home fixtures and such we have about 40 items that rely on internet so we want peace of mind that it is getting done.
Overall I am very pleased with my mesh network and how it isn’t an eyesore in each room. The small prisms were designed with an artful eye so they blend in well in each area that I have them in. My favorite part is how the system doctor’s itself by showing you through red, purple, and blue lights that are soft on the eyes and don’t keep you up at night.

I won’t be losing these smart earbuds!

This is a handsome pair of earbuds from Plantronics and the Backbeat GO is really flexible with my day to day needs. I will be honest that I have a uses for different headphones and these are for my gaming and workout needs.
Often I am wearing uncomfortable headphones that cover my ears for long gaming periods and that is why I wanted earbuds so that my ears and head wouldn’t get hot from extreme games as silly as it sounds. The neckband is very comfortable and unnoticeable which I have really enjoyed. Controls on the wire are standard like other earbuds and they work with all my Bluetooth devices.
As a quick side note you can synch multiple devices, download the application for the Backbeat and it opens up a new world of features. My favorite being the “find my headphones” feature where if they are lost or stolen it triggers a tone to go off on the earbuds so that you can find them. I’m pretty sure this if my favorite part and I hope I never have to use it but it is very cool.
The pouch it comes with is flat and easy to store in my backpack and the earbuds come with a wire for when I travel and use the auxiliary port on my Nintendo Switch. I once watched a reality show and learned the term “Two-fer” where you get two for one and that’s how I feel about the Backbeat GO because I can be wireless or fully wired for gaming sessions. I am bummed the microphone doesn’t work when connected to auxiliary port and the microphone does echo a lot but that’s a concession I will forgive.
Music plays amazingly and at the gym I can’t hear people slamming weights or my own breathing which is what prevents me from long runs because it distracts me. I ran these guys through a series of tracks from: Ill Divo, Debussey, Marshmellow with Bastille, and Kenny Rogers. The acoustics are airy and well-rounded while the bass is full and strong which gets my gym sessions going. I’m glad I got these just in time for time off during the holiday!

Art + Tech for My Smart Home

Super freaking cool wi-fi system and it is worth every part of the few minutes it took me to set it up. I got the shorter Velop system because I already love the mesh networks.
The fact that Linksys developed a smaller/cuter system that I could link to my current nodes made adding these a no brainer! I honestly thought it wouldn't be as easy as it was to link the new nodes to my current system but the setup is so very easy.
From plugging it in, to linking it to my Linksys application on my phone it took about three minutes for each node to begin beaming. So what you'll love is that Linksys has taken out the drawn out task of logging into a random website and loading up the network on the application. Now you can manage your devices and their health from the click of an application. In that application you can test your internet speed, manage users, priorpitze devices and more. I made my gaming system a top priority and now with coverage all over my house there's no way I'll lose speed.
The system automatically maintains it's health by updating itself and if for some reason something goes wrong it tells you by blinking a red color, or blue if it is in good health. When I was younger having to run devices on dial up I never thought the devices that provided internet to me would be so cool. In no way am I talking this trio up more than I have to. I recall being the kid who wanted a home that was so smart, it could me autonomous and having added the Velop makes this very possible! I hope this helps any of you who are looking to update your home from one standard router to these artsy pieces in your home.
Lastly, these little guys are like mini sculptures... see for yourself.

Office Printer Supreme

Brother did sooo well with the HL-L3270 (minus choosing a name but I’ll forgive it). This printer outdoes any office printer I’ve come across in my life.
So my main office just got upgraded to some compact multi task printer but this Brother printer brings quality and speed home (literally).
Bells and whistles here are worth your time and learning them. I am able to sit on my couch and work while printing at the same time. There’s the ability to AirPrint, print double sided, print like 30 pages in under a minute or something.
As you can see I attached a picture of a photo I just took in Mexico on a trip and the water and waves look super pristine. If you appreciate efficiency and simplicity then this printer is for you.
Overall a printer that came to play and brings it’s A-Game!

Trendy and Powerful Machine

So to start it looks rather nice in my place. We got this vacuum for our place outside of the city. Lots more dust lingers so we thought we’d give Bissel a try. I was wary because their dust canisters have broken at the clip area.
We love this vacuum. It is petite and it’s easy to put away but very powerful with its suction. The other model we had was built like this one with a suction control switch. This model is really neat because the suction control is a sliding switch on the handle.
The rug pictured below is also new and it came with heaps of dust. Within minutes the Bissel Turbo has filled itself with lots of goodies (dust) for me to empty. This was really my test for me. I knew I had to wait and set this rug up when I got this vacuum and I’m glad I did.
For me the accessories still strike me as cheaply made and I’m not a fan of the fact that there isn’t anything to secure them in place and instead just slide on and off. The previous eraser fell off constantly.
Otherwise this is going to really come in handy in the country with three dogs and lots of Texas dust flying around.

Working at My Standing Desk and Sofa is Easy

Got to use my mouse for working this evening and when i'm at home it is comfort that i'm looking for because I want to be able to lounge on my sofa, watch shows and that usually means working on different terrains from my work desk to blankets.
Setup and easy to use is the first thing to address because I'm used to working with a mouse on a horizontal plane and this is my first ergonomic mouse. I'm still a bit indifferent about the grip because part of me feels like it's a handle that I can't let go and I really anticipated a locked-in type of grip. I love that I can sync it via Bluetooth with three different computers where I can switch between with the push of a button under the mouse.
Anyway, the mouse comes with a Logitech's software that you can tailor the buttons with which was really good to use and again very, very easy. My favorite part about the MX mouse is the fact that I can use it while plugged into the USB-C wire, Bluetooth and the unifying receiver so lots to choose from.
Design for me is very important and this mouse has the office asking fun questions about how pretty and chic it looks on the desk! I hope this helps.

Some Of the Most Beautiful Earbuds

Master and Dynamic made some pretty tech with these earbuds and while I have a couple of disadvantages for you they are very nice earbuds.
For me there are two downsides: the hardware installed in the Bluetooth functions fail in connectivity when I’m in motion. I wear these in the car, walking and such so when the music or podcasts begin to skip like a CD I have a bit of a issue. Next is the distance I walk from my device and how it totally disconnects from my phone.
As long as you plan on being right by the earbuds and your phone your music plays fine.
Crisp instruments and some great bass in these earbuds. I live in a new construction area and bulldozers are always banging things so I wear these and they drown out the noise.
I love listening to my meditation sounds of rain on theses, the rain drops sound like it’s happening right outside, Elvis and his song “Let It Be Me” sounds amazing and the acoustics played so well. I also played some Drake and boy does the bass play reall well and it is concert quality listening.
The carrying case and whole design is beautiful. I wish I would have gotten a color but the case and earbuds are nice. In the era of USB-C equipment I’m glad they used that as the charging port.
These will be used at my desk and on trips. They are definitely a conversation piece of art and deliver great music when stationary. Enjoy!

Picture (almost) Perfect

The clarity of pictures and documents is great. Recently my grandmother got sick and she’s had these albums of pictures from the 70’s which she prizes like gold.
I got her an iPad and scanned all the pictures so that I could upload them to her iPad digitally.
She lives on the other side of the state so when she was able to look at her memories and swipe through them she was so pleased.
This Brother scanner is ideal for me because it is compact, easy to use, and the best part is that it can be powered by a AC adapter or powered through my computer.
The power-through-computer feature was the best part for me. I thought it was to good to be true but no features were compromised for me.
Overall a cool machine, my one downfall is the actual set up. Boy was it lengthy and when the updates were done it didn’t even recognize my scanner so I had to manually tell my Brother Software that a scanner was connected.
Don’t let that derail you though because if you’re always on the go like me this compact scanner is your machine!
