So in my family I’m the baker! I am a dude who thoroughly enjoys the art of a cookie or a cake!
It’s been a week and I’ve made caramel cupcakes with a salted caramel filling, a family favorite that requires tempering sugar for different parts of the recipe.
The heat feature was really great and helpful in getting through my recipe.
I will say these cupcakes have been ruined to not tempering the sugar or buttery correctly so I am amazed with my mixer.
I do wish there was more attachments and that it was more compact but other I am quite pleased.
The color also matches our kitchen so that helps with counter appeal in case it helps you for this holiday season or if you’re looking for a themed gift!

Ninja Household with Hungry Foodies

So I just got my blender recently and generally, I wait to write about how I feel about my kitchen stuff because I've used items in the past and at first it's great but the item doesn't live up to the glory!
Ninja might have just figured out how to cut out a mini crockpot and melded food processing, blending, cooking and pouring it into bowls directly.
Living in Texas I depend on chili, queso and tomato bisque. All of those will easily work in this Ninja. I had a Ninja that had the cleaning function before and I've really missed that. You won't regret taking this little appliance on and sparking conversations around it in your kitchen. Recently I've taken on having my guests be a part of the process of cooking since it makes it engaging for everyone with a cocktail or wine!
The only pitfall for me is that a vessel that carries food cannot be submerged in water. So if food splashes or leaks onto the bottom of the pitcher you pretty much have to be super careful cleaning it. The instructions stress do not submerge the glass pitcher in water. The pitcher itself is very nice and hearty and reminds me of industrial barn home chic!
Storing it was easy after the self cleaning function which I loved. The brush attachment for cleaning and the attachments are easy to store and use.
With fall and winter coming I can't wait to have family gatherings to incorporate the Foodie with all my guests. Queso recipes this winter are going to be smashing!

Stability for Sound, Mind and Body

I have been wearing my Backbeats for a few days at the gym now and at first, I thought, "whoa my ears are going to sweat more than me". That has not been the case and in fact, I am a lot more focused on myself at the machines doing bicep curls and squats than normal. I like to listen to hip/hop for heavyweights, some synth-electro stuff for stretching and country for cardio (all of which sounded pretty darn good to me).
The sound quality is okay, they are headphones and not earbuds so I now know that if I want louder I need to wear my earbuds. However, because earbuds hurt me sometimes I had to get these bad boys! The actual headphones and the material they are made of are very comfy and lightweight. The design is very modern and I would compare them to styles like Alexander Wang who really understands the aesthetic between street style and athleisure. I used to think it was ridiculous to have headphones at the gym but after wearing them myself I see the allure is not for looks but for comfort and the sound quality.
I have had Backbeats before and so the application Plantronics has is pretty rad in the sense that you can choose your sound profiles (I hope they create more styles of sound profiles), you can adjust the quality of different sounds, find them if they are lost, and more.
The adjustable headband was also pretty game-changing, I do have fancy noise-canceling headphones but the adjustable strap never moves on my head at the gym like other headphones. When I say never, I mean it only moved when I took them off which was pretty good. I have a larger than the normal head which sucks but these make working out for me more focused.
Whoa! I almost forgot to mention the controls on the earphone! So instead of fumbling for my gym bag to change songs, or reaching for my watch to switch songs, now I can just swipe my earphone and the controls will either skip a song or raise the volume! I have seen this feature in some dope headphones that were not in my range but these have that feature and Plantronics designed this part very well. Every now and then when my shoulder touches my ear during lat pull downs it pauses my song but not a big deal.

Festival Season Upgrade for ME!

I am so very excited for festival season and just random nights with friends over! Sure I can share stuff on social media but having had my Sprocket for a week now I am finding that when friends have been over they really enjoyed taking their photos with them. What is more, the augmented reality feature for some filters makes it so interactive and a little secret between my friends and me!
In two weeks a bunch of friends are coming into town for a festival and this is going to be a blast! The part for me that is a bummer is that the AR filters do not always work which is daunting because I am hoping that by then HP has released a bunch of new filters.
The body is super cute and I love the marbled look, it is lightweight so it fits easily in my bags without feeling hefty. The printer fits 20 sheets so only my best pictures will get printed but I am happy that in the application it gives you the option to save the photos to your phone. I haven't used the sticker feature yet because I haven't decided where I want all my pictures to go but the fact that I can put them in lockers or on my laptops makes it a blast!
My top features of the Sprocket are the pretty design, it's smaller than my cellphone, the pictures print in seconds, and it has definitely sparked conversation in my group. Must have for every family!

My Very Own Barista at Home!

Let me say, in a world where there’s coffee shops everywhere having the Dinamica at home makes me feel like my own barista is here!
I bought some fresh coffee beans on the way home from getting my Dinamica and I’m so glad I did.
At first glance you’ll be intimidated from the buttons but rest assured the quick start menu will help put you at ease!
Silky, smooth, hot and fast espressos have been on deck every morning since getting it! I am so proud of myself and the machine.
So my Dinamica is so sleek, has a well for whole beans, a compartment for ground coffee if you want, a well for discarded grounds it dumps after brewing for you, a froth/steamer, water plate for overflow and it looks so great on the counter.
It is a machine that will shine this coming holiday season and I’m so excited to create my version of craft coffees for family this year! You’ll love this machine!

Relief For All Athletes and Non-Athletes!

What a beautiful piece of technology and what an awesome idea! I might be late to the party but I’m glad to have discovered this device. I have been a gymnast and later in life picked up lifting weights and I have never heard of this kind of muscle relief.
Opening up the package was beautiful, I encountered that the Theragun comes in its own mini suitcase. This might not be the first of its kind but it is an awesome tech-toy for health and fitness for relief after working out/pre-workout.
Having two batteries, multiple attachments, an application dedicated to describing ways on how to use the device, carrying case for attachments, case for the Theragun, and more really makes it worth having.
My other half and I did not work out this weekend but that doesn’t mean we didn’t take turns testing it out and really relaxing muscles we didn’t know were tense. Each attachment has its uses but our favorite is the thumb and largest attachments!
The only downfall for me is that it is a little noisy but I was able to look past that after how much relief my quads, biceps, pectorals and even my hamstrings
Finally, the most endearing part of this product was to open up the box and see a hand written note from the creator of Theragun. Glad to be supporting small business while maintaining great muscle health. Also it shows the art of handwritten notes are not a lost art!

Game Changer Making House Cleaner

Alright I’m the guy with a French Bulldog who sheds so we try all sorts of vacuums to keep up with his hair.
I have had some of the most elite machines out there and I brag how all the stuff that came up in those machines was because of the brand.
Then we got this guy this week.
Who am I kidding? I saw hair and dust... actual dust that my vacuum missed just days ago!
At first I thought maybe the new Shark came with dust in a tube to trick me but no!
I’ve gone from carpet to tile and it just keeps catching things.
On one hand I’m super excited and on the other I feel like other vacuums have tricked me!
Anyway, the slim design makes it easy to store, I am glad they were smart with the three extra attachments, and the cable is long enough to span a couple of rooms.
The only downside for me is how the dust bin is deceptively small. I thought it was the size of the area below the handle but the well isn’t that wide or deep at the bottom.
So just be mindful of how much dirt you have collected and you are good to go. The color is aesthetically pleasing and I’m glad it has an LED light on the head for under beds or tight places!

Not Fussy and Easy Care

It’s been a week or so with my Presidio case and it’s good so far.
I’ve had jazzed up cases with sparkles and stones, clear ones and now this black one.
I was super nervous that oils or just normal wear and tear would affect the matte finish but it doesn’t.
It doesn’t affect how pictures are taken which has happened with other cases but the charging port is limited and is troublesome with attaching devices to it.
It does add more weight to the phone which is a bummer and not super bulky.

Smart Carbon + Smoke Detector

I’m super pleased with the Onelink device! The packaging was clean and separated the steps in a easy way for me to get this done fast. My wired detector took 8 minutes to install which included the application which compliments the device!
The voice guide on the device wasn’t creepy at all, I really like that the device lights up with red, green, or yellow colors to visually show an alert.
I was excited to find out as I installed the device that the company has other detectors that are speakers as well which would be amazing to have across the condo!
An extra feature I really am enjoying is the night light built in. I put this detector by the garage door and it’s always dark there so I’m happy I can adjust the brightness of the night light feature.
A great addition to my home since I was getting annoyed with how the old smoke detector looked like an eye sore next to my mid-century light fixture.
I can’t wait to try and add the other devices in the home in the future! As a side note the app is limited in functions but it’s simple and to the point which works for this kind of smoke detector!

There’s a Lot of Buzz to Be Had for Studio Advance

So opening the box was super great and the details that went into the Studio Advance were very specific which had me at first glance!
When opening the box which was not overly big I saw these soft, cotton pouches which housed the soundbar and subwoofer. I would compare it to going to the jewelry store and taking home a piece and then opening up your purchase to see they put it in this very pretty satchel to house your high end belonging. Then came setup which was easy: unpackage, plug media into the speakers, point the silky matte black remote and test it out. I was up and going quickly. The sound was amazing and I played music videos all night from Fleetwood Mac, Marshmallow, Elvis, to sleep sounds (love the sound of thunder and rain). The crisp sound makes you just want to play more and more.
We chose this for a condo out in the country that needed something that packed great sound and various features while saving space and not compromising in sound. My family always jokes about my Google Assistant but the minute they want to have a mini dance party they learn to appreciate it, so I am glad that the soundbar has it built in! We recently picked up VR games with music which has been muscled up by adding the Chromecast feature to the Studio Advance.
I could honestly go on so please feel free to ask more about it and I'll answer! There are movies, music and night mode. Another primary reason for getting the Studio Advance was to be conscious of my neighbors and with the built-in Night Mode, it alters how sound is played at night. The subwoofer being Bluetooth makes it easy to move and finally, you can tailor the center speaker to make sure the quality of sound makes sense for me and my movies, gaming or music.
I have complained for years that soundbars are great but sometimes you lose the voice-over loud bangs in movies. With the ability to adjust the center I have full control of my user experience based on what I am doing. If I could have one in each bedroom I would just because I am in awe of the simplicity and beauty!
