Good multi-tasking for gaming and productivity

The build quality and feel of the Dell G7 is pretty solid and comfortable for extended use. It is somewhat heavy and does not seem to be built for easy portability even though it’s a laptop. However it is dimensioned enough to comfortably take on a trip and use on a train, plane, or in the car. The track pad is great, perfect size and placement to multitask and get the job done whether gaming or productivity. The keyboard is fairly standard and feels good to the touch. I like the blue outlining and backlight of the trackpad and keys. The extra large surface on the keyboard makes it comfortable for the palms to rest and not get fatigued while gaming or typing.
The screen is nice with great viewing angles and a nice matte looking finish. The bezels are a little big for my taste but it seems to add to the overall solid build of the laptop. I actually like the bigger thickness of the rear of the laptop for the rear fans which in my opinion provide adequate cooling for my usage. The fans are not obnoxiously loud but are noticeable. The onboard speakers could be improved but I usually utilize a Bluetooth setup for audio so not a deal breaker. Battery life is as expected, 4-5 hours with moderate use. The CPU speed and all other specs are awesome for my needs in basic gaming and software productivity. I have not peeked around on the internals for upgrades as the initial specs are very adequate and meet all expectations at this point.
I am very pleased with Dells production of this laptop so far. Haven’t had any major issues with heating or bogged performance.

Great camera for baby monitor or pet monitor

This camera is built very well and has a great feel to it out of the box. It is solid and has an adjustable base to stand where you want it placed or you can wall mount it with the included screws and wall taps. The picture is crystal clear with adjustable settings from 720 to 1080 resolution. The mic is super sensitive and picks up the smallest sounds in a room. I will be using this camera primarily as a baby monitor as I have the ability to watch, listen, and talk back thru the mic. It has a great night vision feature and also motion sensor which records motion and sound when activated. I absolutely love this camera and the cell phone app is very user friendly and easy to setup with the camera. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

good basic tru-wireless

Good true wireless ear buds with good sound and fairly comfortable, but it about ends there for me. Straight out of the box I was left a little underwhelmed with these ear buds for the price point. They are kind of big compared to others on the market. I do not like the setup of the charging case as you have to plug in separate mini usb charging wires into each of the earbuds. I did not know that this charging case was setup like this as I thought it was a wireless charging case similar to other wireless earbuds. The wires are difficult to plug in for people with average to big hands, a definite draw back. The sound is very good for the earbuds which is a plus and the wrap around ear hooks are flexible and fairly comfortable. The 1 hour charge is sufficient to get a decent use out of, but for the price I definitely expected more.

Good econimical based laptop

First off, for the price you are getting a very good and very capable laptop. It is by no means the crème de la crème of gaming laptops or even your everyday go to, but it will hold its own and I am pleased with it. It is on the larger side of weight and surface space of the keyboard but it is still very comfortable to use. The screen is the perfect size for games and viewing videos. The touch scroll pad/ mouse is very responsive and accurate. The keys are soft and large enough to prevent miscues, I believe it is an accurate full scale keyboard. The backlighting is a very deep red color which is visually pleasing along with the black matte finish of the laptop. I have yet to go thru all of the settings to see if you can adjust the brightness of the backlit keys or change the sleep setting of the light because it works for me right now.
Having the SSD reallt speeds up how fast the laptop boots up and is ready for action. All of the apps work effortlessly fast as does the wifi and bluetooth. The graphics card seems to get the job done and I have not experienced any lag or lack of performace. I have run multiple applications simultaneously from internet video streaming, photo apps, webpages, and more and have not been dissapointed. The video quality is very good with the 1080i HD and the matte looking screen which does not emit and reflection. I never realized how much the reflective properties of screen diminshes the quality of appearance.
This laptop has all of the expected ports for connections and I absolutely love the HDMI output that I use to connect to an external ACER screen and projector when need be to add a screen source or view video in a bigger format.
The webcam is decent and combined with the big screen allows great video conferennce calls or video calls with the family.
Overall, for the price of this laptop you cannot go wrong if you are looking for a reasonbly priced laptop to enage in gaming or stream video. Definitely a worthwhile purchase in my opinion.

My new go to bluetooth portable speaker

This Sony portable speaker is now my new go to Bluetooth speaker for just about every occasion. It has a great durable feel to it. It is constructed very solid with an additional water resistant material and outlet coverings. It is easy to pair with any device and also has the ability to sync with additional Sony Bluetooth speakers for an amazing surround sound feel. Even without syncing with other speakers with just a push of a button, the sound produced from this speaker is immersive and provides full rich acoustics for just about any genre of music. It is the perfect size (not too big or too small) to take anywhere and get an awesome jam session going or a nice relaxing ambiance of tunes by the pool or in a park with friends and family.
The battery lasts a decent time when played at optimal levels but drains much faster when pumping the volume higher. It has a convenient siri or google like voice that alerts you to the battery level when a button is pushed or when it is time to charge the battery. It charges fairly quickly to get you back in the game and enjoying music.
The aesthetic lighting feature is a cool add-on, but not something that I personally use because of it putting an extra drain on the battery and I’m not staring at the speaker when playing my music. Also, there is an interactive “Party Booster” which allows you to interact or play along with your music with different acoustic sounds. Another feature that is interesting but not something that I would use. It was fun to play around with and I’m sure the kids would love it.
The Music App that is available for the speaker is somewhat impressive allowing you to use an equalizer to adjust your music to your listening preference. Albeit somewhat minimal in effect but does give you the option to make subtle adjustments. Also, it allows you to stream music from your various music apps, but I found it easier to just stream from my dedicated music apps and use the speaker for what its meant to be, a Bluetooth device.
Overall, this speaker has a lot of entertaining features that I would not use on a normal basis, but I absolutely love the speaker for its sound, design, and performance as a music player. I take this speaker with me everywhere to listen to music and even stream movies from the laptop. Definitely a worthy purchase.

Simple yet effective brushing

This Phillips sonicare out of the box has a good feel. It does not feel cheap and is comfortable in the hand. The brush head easy attaches with a snap and the toothbrush is easily powered on with one click of the button.
The different settings are nice for sensitive teeth and the built in timer is a nice function. Overall, this is a very simple toothbrush to use that leaves your teeth feeling clean with little to no effort. The price point is very affordable and makes it worth buying and having.

Good projector for projects and presentations

This epson LCD projector is simply that.... a projector that will be great for presentations or school projects. It has all the easy connections that are needed for a quick plug and play display, hdmi/ sound, USB, rca inputs. It does not have audio output but does include a small speaker that is powerful enough to output enough sound for a small conference room or classroom. The speaker definitely will not blow you away and the cooling fan is a little louder than expected.
The display is bright even in low light rooms but is not high definition. The clarity of the display disappointed me a bit because you can clearly see the pixelation. It has digital controls for the focus and zoom which is kind of nice and automatic keystone adjustments.
If you are looking for a home entertainment projector or gaming projector, I would recommend looking elsewhere as this is made for the office.
Overall a good business projector and fits the needs to get a presentation done and is portable with the included carrying case. A bit overpriced in my opinion for what it will be used for, but epson has a good Rep for being business oriented. You can actually get another epson model for less with better resolution which surprised me.

The Generic Alternative to Google Home

The Insignia portable speaker is basically the Generic alternative to the original Google Home. It is very similar size and a very close design. The Google Home and Insignia are pretty much fraternal twins.... what sets the Insignia apart is the permanent clock display and intermittent temperature display which is a great added bonus for a smart home assistant.
The sound is great for the size of the speaker, the far field voice detection works very well, and it is aesthetically pleasing as a décor piece. I love that I am able to connect the Insignia to my Google Home group to play music throughout the house on all the speakers.
The touch sensitive controls on top of the speaker also are very nice as they light up when you get close to pressing before you actually touch the speaker.
Overall, this is a great option to add to your Google home accessories to control lights, thermostat, smart plugs, stream music, and be a quick informative assistant in your smart home.

Good entry level on-ear wireless headphones

I was hesitant at first to get these because I've been an ear-bud junky as of late, but these backfit 505 have really impressed for the price point.
Out of the box they have a good aesthetic look and feel to them and they do not feel cheap. The headphones rotate for easy and comfortable wearing around your neck when not in use and for easy storage. The ear pads them self are fairly comfortable or at least for what you expect for on the ear headphones.I have worn them for around the house, casual Netflix on the laptop, and for yard work. The battery is awesome and seems to last forever. I have used these headphones for multiple activities for extended periods of time and can barely remember the last time I charged them before the battery died.
The sound is impressive but not overwhelmingly rich. They do cancel out a lot of the background noise and are good for enough for wearing in the bed t block out the average snorer :-)
Overall, for the price you cannot go wrong with these headphones and you will be satisfied.
