Ported from PS2????
on November 14, 2007

Ok, .. the actual racing in the game is relatively fun (but no more fun than any of the previous NFS games.) However, the graphics were not impressive at ALL for a PS3 game. I haven't looked this one up, but based on what I see in the game, ... it appears it might be a direct "port" from the PS2 version of the game.
All in all, ... A waist of money (Even at $30, which I think is what I paid for it.)
What's great about it: The "racing" parts are fun, ... but that's about it.
What's not so great: Graphics, redundant game play.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun game play "for a while"
on November 14, 2007

A friend of mine let me borrow this one, because he was bored with it. I've played it for several hours, and while it was a lot of fun in the beginning, it seems to get old more quickly than most racing style games. The control is good, and graphics are very decent, just the game experience itself gets slightly redundant. Assuming the game was enjoyable for 6 hours, ... that's $10/hr, which is still slightly cheaper than going to the movies. And I may re-visit it again in the future, and buy my own copy when it ends up as a "PS3 Greatest Hits" game in 2-3 years.
What's great about it: Enjoyable control experience
What's not so great: Gets old after a while.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NOT RAID!!! MIONET!!! AVOID!!!
on October 31, 2007
Posted by: JeffIllinois

The previous reviewer must have bought the "other" My Book World Edition that had two 500 GB drives. This one DOES NOT. It has a single 1TB WD drive installed. The software is required to be installed on EVERY machine you wish to access this device from. The software is VERY flakey. (Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes disconnects during file transfers, etc..)
Seriously, ... I would avoid this drive like the plague. (I purchased it, spend hours dealing with it, and took it back. Too much hastle..
Best route to go that I've found. (Have one..) Is the D-Link DNS-323 and two 500GB WD drives. (Have set to RAID1) All of which you can get from Best Buy for about the same price on sale, as this single drive. Not positive if the 1TB WD's will work in the DNS-323, or would suggest that.
This drive only gets one star, because you can't give it zero... Would I recommend it to a friend??? I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.. (Well, ... Maybe...) :)
What's great about it: 1TB, relatively fast.
What's not so great: Software required on each PC, only 1 disk(NO RAID)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You could have checked the specs/package contents.

You should have known this ahead of time. Most hard drives retail or otherwise, do not come with SATA cables. Most decent motherboards come with them........

This internal hard drive offers an ample 2TB storage capacity, making it ideal for servers, video surveillance and other demanding write-intensive applications. The IntelliSeek and RAFF technologies reduce power usage and protect the drive from vibrations.

Extremely noisy
By RayBan007 from New York, NY
The WD internal hard drive is perhaps one of the noisiest commercially available drives on the market. I never realized how silent my Mac's native Matsui internal drive was until replacing it with this loud monstrosity.

Not your fault, but being loud should be expected.
April 19, 2013
1. Matsui doesn't make hard drives. Not sure who gave you that info, but your Mac more than likely has a Seagate or Western Digital Caviar drive. (Probably Seagate, though.)
2. This drive is a RE4 (Raid Edition) "ENTERPRISE" drive. They are not designed for home use, and when compared to the noise comming from the cooling fans in most of our servers, these drives are "quiet." They just aren't quiet enough to be in a home computer environment. From quietest to loudest you have the WD AV-GP, Caviar Blue, Caviar Green, WD Black and then the RE4's.
3. There is nothing about installing a hard drive that is worth $100. It is one of the easiest parts you can install in your computer. With the invent of "youtube" and other sources, you can easily find step by step instructions or videos on how to install your hard drive. Once you've done it once, ... you'll never waste $100 on installation again...

Probably just a BIOS setting.
June 26, 2014
You may have simply need to make changes in your BIOS. You probably should have spoken with an I.T. professional. (Not a kid working in an electronics store.. An actual pro..) I probably could have helped you solve this over the phone.....................
P.S. Compatibility issues really aren't something to wrong a bad review over... It's not the products fault that your computer wouldn't accept it, ... or that you didn't know how to set it up...

Could have been a great mouse
By Regelos
After a bunch of research I settled on this mouse since I want to buy something local and easy. I loved the mouse for about the first few days I used it and I encountered a charge problem. This mouse will only charge itself 10% of the time and on multiple computers will only do it after a restart, and even then inconsistently. I contacted support(within 4 days of purchasing) and I was told to go buy a new rechargeable battery, which just offended me because for 150 bucks on a mouse they should send me the part that was broken for free. After buying a new rechargeable battery it didn't fix the problem and since support takes multiple days to respond (I'm up to weeks now on my last response.) No go I've now decided to eat the 150 bucks and just replace it.
I will not buy another razer product again there support borders on rude and are completely non-helpful.

Wondering if we have same problem

Bought two of these and have the same problem with one of them. Not charging. Did yours flash all three charge lights the first time around? What did it do the after replacing the battery?

Shouldn't connect mouse/keyboard to USB3.0 anyway.
December 3, 2014
Just an FYI - USB 3.0 chipsets are not universally supported and usually don't have legacy kb/mouse support in bios either. On top of that, ... neither the mouse or keyboard send huge amounts of data in short spans, so you shouldn't have any need for them to be on USB3.0 anyway..

Base on TV is not in the middle, there are two different legs on each side.

The TV does not fit on our stand because the two legs are too far apart. My question is do you have bases we could buy to correct this?
Note : Questions are answered by other consumers, ... not Best Buy reps...

In short, ... no. Not Bases. If you could mount to a wall, ... or could modify your stand to add backing support, you could use a wall mount.

These questions are actually answered by other consumers, not BestBuy staff. For pricing information on Geek Squad installation, please contact your local Best Buy store.

why best buy wont carry or sell mitsubishi lazar TV. The cost are down from when first came out. With this set you don't need to change bulbs.

Speaking from one consumer to another (BestBuy doesn't answer these questions, other consumers do) I can tell you that NO light module regardless of type, will last forever. And I'm sure that if/when you eventually have to replace the laser unit in those televisions, they will be very expensive.

That being said, ... regardless of laser technology, LED backlit LCD's are far less expensive and have bulb lifespans that for the average user, will last between 14-20 years.. (Probably longer than you'll have the TV....)

When using the internet browser on Google TV, can I access and stream videos from Hulu and other major network websites, or are they blocked?

Also, would I really need a cable box if I want to rely on the web browser to stream shows? I know I need an ISP.
Unless there is an app for a specific service, the answer to that question could change on a regular basis based on what the provider does with their services, website setup, etc... Essentially, the web browser built into Google TV does not have a lot of extension support, so I would probably guess that for the most part, you will not be able to stream from most sites using only the browser.

What do you charge to hook up subs and amp??

Is it expensive to have you guys hook up my stuff in my car and possibly have my deck taken out and cleaned??
Since these questions are not answered by BestBuy staff, I can only tell you what I personally would charge. But since it's fairly likely that I don't live in your region, it would probably be a waste of both of our time. :-)

For specifics on what BestBuy Geek Squad would charge, please call your local store and ask to speak with a Geek Squad Representative.

I purchased a Logi Tech Remote for my elderly friend and I need assistance in programming the remote. Where would be a good place to seek assistance

Remote Control programming
Know any geeky teenagers? :-)

You can probably obtain assistance through Geek Squad at Best Buy. Contact your local store to see whether they offer those types of services. I do not know of any other service providers that are specific to assisting with these types of devices. I certainly mean it when I ask; however, whether you know any geeky teenagers... They'd likely fly through setting up a universal remote... :-)

Did You Guy's Stop Selling Onkyo Receivers?

Best Buy has not stopped selling Onkyo brand Receivers. Go to BestBuy.com and type in the search bar "Onkyo Receivers." You will find several to choose from. Anything that says "Marketplace" is not being sold directly through Best Buy; however, I saw that several receivers were not marketplace, so it is apparent that BestBuy does in fact continue to sell them...

what is needed to stream sports games to a samsung 32 in flat screen tv without an internet connection?

Live in South jersey, residential area, have not gotten cable, how do I get sports games?
This would depend heavily on where you intend to stream them from.... There is no way to easily answer this question using only the details you have provided.

If it is going to stream from a specific streaming service, you would either need to find a compatible device for that specific service, or you will need to connect a PC/Laptop to TV.....

Adapter for monitor to laptop

My monitor has a 15 pin plug and no other plug ins. What adapter do it need
to connect my dell Inspiron 3135 laptop to the monitor
If the laptop only has HDMI (which is common on many new laptops) then there is no adapter available to connect to your monitor. Sorry... (HDMI is digital and VGA (15-pin) is analog. They are not capable of communicating with each other.)

How to fix a small scratch on my LCD TV screen?

In short, ... don't.. Most LCD TV's have a protective coating over the display. Any chemical that would fill the scratch will also likely have an adverse reaction with the coating.
