NOT RAID!!! MIONET!!! AVOID!!!

The previous reviewer must have bought the "other" My Book World Edition that had two 500 GB drives. This one DOES NOT. It has a single 1TB WD drive installed. The software is required to be installed on EVERY machine you wish to access this device from. The software is VERY flakey. (Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes disconnects during file transfers, etc..)
Seriously, ... I would avoid this drive like the plague. (I purchased it, spend hours dealing with it, and took it back. Too much hastle..
Best route to go that I've found. (Have one..) Is the D-Link DNS-323 and two 500GB WD drives. (Have set to RAID1) All of which you can get from Best Buy for about the same price on sale, as this single drive. Not positive if the 1TB WD's will work in the DNS-323, or would suggest that.
This drive only gets one star, because you can't give it zero... Would I recommend it to a friend??? I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.. (Well, ... Maybe...) :)
What's great about it: 1TB, relatively fast.
What's not so great: Software required on each PC, only 1 disk(NO RAID)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You could have checked the specs/package contents.

You should have known this ahead of time. Most hard drives retail or otherwise, do not come with SATA cables. Most decent motherboards come with them........

This internal hard drive offers an ample 2TB storage capacity, making it ideal for servers, video surveillance and other demanding write-intensive applications. The IntelliSeek and RAFF technologies reduce power usage and protect the drive from vibrations.

Extremely noisy
By RayBan007 from New York, NY
The WD internal hard drive is perhaps one of the noisiest commercially available drives on the market. I never realized how silent my Mac's native Matsui internal drive was until replacing it with this loud monstrosity.

Not your fault, but being loud should be expected.
April 19, 2013
1. Matsui doesn't make hard drives. Not sure who gave you that info, but your Mac more than likely has a Seagate or Western Digital Caviar drive. (Probably Seagate, though.)
2. This drive is a RE4 (Raid Edition) "ENTERPRISE" drive. They are not designed for home use, and when compared to the noise comming from the cooling fans in most of our servers, these drives are "quiet." They just aren't quiet enough to be in a home computer environment. From quietest to loudest you have the WD AV-GP, Caviar Blue, Caviar Green, WD Black and then the RE4's.
3. There is nothing about installing a hard drive that is worth $100. It is one of the easiest parts you can install in your computer. With the invent of "youtube" and other sources, you can easily find step by step instructions or videos on how to install your hard drive. Once you've done it once, ... you'll never waste $100 on installation again...

Probably just a BIOS setting.
June 26, 2014
You may have simply need to make changes in your BIOS. You probably should have spoken with an I.T. professional. (Not a kid working in an electronics store.. An actual pro..) I probably could have helped you solve this over the phone.....................
P.S. Compatibility issues really aren't something to wrong a bad review over... It's not the products fault that your computer wouldn't accept it, ... or that you didn't know how to set it up...

Could have been a great mouse
By Regelos
After a bunch of research I settled on this mouse since I want to buy something local and easy. I loved the mouse for about the first few days I used it and I encountered a charge problem. This mouse will only charge itself 10% of the time and on multiple computers will only do it after a restart, and even then inconsistently. I contacted support(within 4 days of purchasing) and I was told to go buy a new rechargeable battery, which just offended me because for 150 bucks on a mouse they should send me the part that was broken for free. After buying a new rechargeable battery it didn't fix the problem and since support takes multiple days to respond (I'm up to weeks now on my last response.) No go I've now decided to eat the 150 bucks and just replace it.
I will not buy another razer product again there support borders on rude and are completely non-helpful.

Wondering if we have same problem

Bought two of these and have the same problem with one of them. Not charging. Did yours flash all three charge lights the first time around? What did it do the after replacing the battery?

Shouldn't connect mouse/keyboard to USB3.0 anyway.
December 3, 2014
Just an FYI - USB 3.0 chipsets are not universally supported and usually don't have legacy kb/mouse support in bios either. On top of that, ... neither the mouse or keyboard send huge amounts of data in short spans, so you shouldn't have any need for them to be on USB3.0 anyway..

Insignia Model NS-L42X-10A

Is it discontinued? What's the new model?
Insignia is a Best Buy brand, so if the device you are looking for is no longer available on their website, it is discontinued.

Go to Best Buy's site and do a search for "Insignia 42" and you will find whatever replacement is there..

Dynex is also a Best Buy brand, so if you do not find a 42" Insignia that fits your needs, you might do the same search for Dynex...

how to re-set timer

how to re-set timer
Check the owners manual.

This could mean two things, but you are likely talking about the bulb timer. In that case, there is usually a proceedure for which you can find in the owners manual for resetting the bulb timer. (Which should normally only be used when replacing the bulb.)

is there a way i can play my ipod out of my amp so i can play to the songs

ive looked some places where there is a cord to the ipod then a guitar jack to the amp but they out of stock
We're talking about a guitar amp? I wouldn't recommend using a guitar amp for "music output." Guitar amps are designed for specific frequencies, and the speakers in the Amp are as well. Using them for "low" frequencies could quickly damage the amplifier and/or speaker.

Using an IPod on an audio receiver is fine and only requires a 1/8" headphone jack to dual RCA connectors cable...

I have a new Panasonic Versa Plasma HD. Closed captioning problem

The closed captioning on this tv stops functioning randomly. This is true whether using cable input of Directv. The only way to make it resume is to restart the tv and go through searching and programming channels. What is the problem? Solutions?
This would actually be two seperate problems then, because DirecTV does NOT use your TV's built in CC features. CC on DirecTV is handled by the Satellite receiver.

My flat screen hd sharp aquos color turns green

If it does this regardless of input (and even using the internal TV tuner, it is a hardware problem that will require service.

If it only does this on a specific input, (typically using component video cables, etc..) you might try replacing the cable and/or connecting a different device to said input. If neither of those fixes the issue, it could be a control board problem with the input or converter. This would require service.

unsupported mode

My Dynex TV has one channel (not HD) that will not stay on. There is an unsupported mode message on the screen. All other channels work.
More than likely, it is an encrypted ClearQAM channel. Contact your cable provider for further information on how to receive such channels. (They do not have to be in high definition to be encrypted, and may require an external cable box for viewing.)

re led tv speakers

auxiulry speaker for a 32 inch led samsung tv
Any speakers you use would have to have their own amplifier.

Instead, I would suggest purchasing an audio receiver and speakers. (As seperate "amplified" speakers are both costly, and of low quality sound...)

Need Dolby decoder

I am buying LG 32LD550 HDTV through Best Buy. My still very good Technics SA-AX720 receiver, however, needs an out-board Dolby decoder in order to play true Surround Sound. I can not find the Technics AC-3 decoder made for the receiver. What do you suggest as a way to provide a decoded audio for my receiver? I'd rather not buy a new receiver, if possible. Can a Blue Ray player decode HDTV signal coming from DirectTV, too? Here is link to info on receiver. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SAAX920.PDF

Thanks
The reciever you are using WILL NOT be able to do "true surround sound," regardless of whether you use an exteral AC-3 decoder. An external AC-3 decoder will allow you to extract the channels you can use. (Front Left and Front Right.) All other channels would be ignored, because you're receiver only has stereo inputs.

An AC-3 decoder will likely cost you more than a receiver with built in 5.1 or 7.1 decoding and output. I would look for a new reciever.. (Should be able to get a decent 5.1 receiver for $200...

The picture on my two year old Samsung TV begins to cycle on and off shortly after turn it on. The sound contiues to operate normally.

If this is a LCD flat panel TV, I would suggest that it could be a backlight or backlight controller issue. If it is not a LCD, then chances are you have a control board problem. Both of which would likely require service.

How do I network my cricket mobil broadband card???

Under normal circumstances, mobile broadband cards (USB/PCMCIA/Epress Card) are not designed for "Internet Sharing," though you may be able to use your computers built in "Internet Sharing" feature in order to do so.

Keep in mind though, that most mobile broadband providers limit monthly bandwidth to 2GB-5GB per month. Exceeding these limits can cause your account to be suspended or terminated. Also, "Internet Sharing" may not be supported by such provider, which could also lead to your account being terminated.
