NOT RAID!!! MIONET!!! AVOID!!!

The previous reviewer must have bought the "other" My Book World Edition that had two 500 GB drives. This one DOES NOT. It has a single 1TB WD drive installed. The software is required to be installed on EVERY machine you wish to access this device from. The software is VERY flakey. (Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes disconnects during file transfers, etc..)
Seriously, ... I would avoid this drive like the plague. (I purchased it, spend hours dealing with it, and took it back. Too much hastle..
Best route to go that I've found. (Have one..) Is the D-Link DNS-323 and two 500GB WD drives. (Have set to RAID1) All of which you can get from Best Buy for about the same price on sale, as this single drive. Not positive if the 1TB WD's will work in the DNS-323, or would suggest that.
This drive only gets one star, because you can't give it zero... Would I recommend it to a friend??? I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.. (Well, ... Maybe...) :)
What's great about it: 1TB, relatively fast.
What's not so great: Software required on each PC, only 1 disk(NO RAID)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You could have checked the specs/package contents.

You should have known this ahead of time. Most hard drives retail or otherwise, do not come with SATA cables. Most decent motherboards come with them........

This internal hard drive offers an ample 2TB storage capacity, making it ideal for servers, video surveillance and other demanding write-intensive applications. The IntelliSeek and RAFF technologies reduce power usage and protect the drive from vibrations.

Extremely noisy
By RayBan007 from New York, NY
The WD internal hard drive is perhaps one of the noisiest commercially available drives on the market. I never realized how silent my Mac's native Matsui internal drive was until replacing it with this loud monstrosity.

Not your fault, but being loud should be expected.
April 19, 2013
1. Matsui doesn't make hard drives. Not sure who gave you that info, but your Mac more than likely has a Seagate or Western Digital Caviar drive. (Probably Seagate, though.)
2. This drive is a RE4 (Raid Edition) "ENTERPRISE" drive. They are not designed for home use, and when compared to the noise comming from the cooling fans in most of our servers, these drives are "quiet." They just aren't quiet enough to be in a home computer environment. From quietest to loudest you have the WD AV-GP, Caviar Blue, Caviar Green, WD Black and then the RE4's.
3. There is nothing about installing a hard drive that is worth $100. It is one of the easiest parts you can install in your computer. With the invent of "youtube" and other sources, you can easily find step by step instructions or videos on how to install your hard drive. Once you've done it once, ... you'll never waste $100 on installation again...

Probably just a BIOS setting.
June 26, 2014
You may have simply need to make changes in your BIOS. You probably should have spoken with an I.T. professional. (Not a kid working in an electronics store.. An actual pro..) I probably could have helped you solve this over the phone.....................
P.S. Compatibility issues really aren't something to wrong a bad review over... It's not the products fault that your computer wouldn't accept it, ... or that you didn't know how to set it up...

Could have been a great mouse
By Regelos
After a bunch of research I settled on this mouse since I want to buy something local and easy. I loved the mouse for about the first few days I used it and I encountered a charge problem. This mouse will only charge itself 10% of the time and on multiple computers will only do it after a restart, and even then inconsistently. I contacted support(within 4 days of purchasing) and I was told to go buy a new rechargeable battery, which just offended me because for 150 bucks on a mouse they should send me the part that was broken for free. After buying a new rechargeable battery it didn't fix the problem and since support takes multiple days to respond (I'm up to weeks now on my last response.) No go I've now decided to eat the 150 bucks and just replace it.
I will not buy another razer product again there support borders on rude and are completely non-helpful.

Wondering if we have same problem

Bought two of these and have the same problem with one of them. Not charging. Did yours flash all three charge lights the first time around? What did it do the after replacing the battery?

Shouldn't connect mouse/keyboard to USB3.0 anyway.
December 3, 2014
Just an FYI - USB 3.0 chipsets are not universally supported and usually don't have legacy kb/mouse support in bios either. On top of that, ... neither the mouse or keyboard send huge amounts of data in short spans, so you shouldn't have any need for them to be on USB3.0 anyway..

how competitive are your prices?

Q&A questions are answered by customers (like me,) not employees...

They're prices are competitive in the local markets they are in... Obviously, ... in most cases you can likely find cheaper prices online, but you also have to be careful where you buy from, because often times, websites are not authorized sellers of products, which means that any warranty is void.... Also, ... you lose the ability to take the product to the store if there are any problems, and would have to pay shipping back to an online vendor, etc.....

why is your price for a home theater significantly higher than others?

This Q&A section is answered by customers, .... not employees...

As far as pricing goes, ... why ask? If the price is cheaper elsewhere, I'd make sure it's the exact model, not refurbished/new, and then if the company is local, ... check with your Best Buy store to see if they will price match.... Otherwise, ... buy it where you want... It's a free country.. :-)

For a bedroom 14 X 14.7, what size flat screen would you recommend?

One foot of diagnal viewing for every three feet of distance to the TV is my usual suggestion... So if you're going to be 12ft away (tv on one end and you on a couch at the other (losing two feet for distance of the TV from the wall, and one foot for the back of the couch)), I would say and estimated 48"... So a 46"-50" screen should suffice...

Personally, I prefer larger screens in smaller rooms anyway... I'm 9' away and use a 55" LED-LCD....

How to connect a sony blue ray player?

I have a 55 inch LG led TV. I bought a sony blue ray player. I don't know if i is connected correctly.
when I push the input button on the Dish remote, it does not give me anything for the blue ray t play. Am I missing anything else for the hook up?
Likely, the BluRay player is connected directly to the TV, not the satellite reciever. Try using the input button for the TV.....

What do I need to buy in order to have HD picture & sound to my TV & PS3?

Assuming you are talking about a LCD or Plasma TV, I would verify that the television has HDMI inputs and then just use an HDMI cable. It will handle all video AND audio...

Wireless Boosters

At what percent of reception is it advisable to install a booster on my wireless pc? I am only getting 15% now.
Booster for what? You posted this in TV's.... Not sure what that has to do with your PC. If you are only getting 15% signal stregth to your router, ... you might need to look into a better router, or adding a wireless repeater.

Black and White Picture

I moved my Samsung LED TV and hooked it up to my dvr but the picture is black and white...no color. I'm nearly certain I hooked up the cables correctly. What am I doing wrong?
I'm going to assume that because you say "cableS" (plural,) you connected it by component video. In which case, I would say that they are not connected properly. Most commonly, the wrong red connector was connected. (Since there are red connectors for both video and sound...)

lcd- lcd/led; plasma

what is the difference between lcd and lcd-led? I am trying to decide whether to buy plasma, lcd, lcd-led with HD 1080I. help
Yes. Standard LCD monitors/TV's use cold cathode tubes for lighting, and LED-LCD's use LED's...

The two largest differences are :
1. Lifespan. LED's will last longer than cold cathode.
1. Energy Efficiency. LED's use a LOT less power. When tested on a Kill-A-Watt, my 55" Samsung LED-LCD uses 105W with the backlight at full brightness.... My old one used 340W.....

TV fit

I have a 32" space with plenty of ht and depth. Is there any 32" LCD that will fit? I'm told Panasonic has a32GL model that's 30.6 inches.
Advise please... Thanks
Several of the 32" widescreen LCD/Plasma's will fit in that space. You're best bet would be to go to a store and measure them. (The video department pretty much always has tape measures available for your use...)
