The PS4 is a graphical powerhouse, able to deliver massive game worlds with impressive clarity and detail. 8GB of RAM allows for serious multitasking potential, complementing the great apps and features that make up the PS4 experience. The PlayStation brand of consoles has an impressive history of delivering world-class exclusive games, and the trend is sure to continue with the PS4. The growing blockbuster catalog is backed by a library of free-to-play and indie games, giving you flexibility in how you pay and play. The PS4 also acts as a social hub, with several built-in features that take advantage of the social networks you're already using. The controller's Share button opens up a world of video sharing, with the option to stream your gameplay live or record it to edit and post later.PlayStation Vita owners will enjoy the connectivity that ties the two devices together, from Remote Play, which allows you to play your PS4 games on your Vita's screen over a local Wi-Fi network, to Cross-Buy, which allows you to purchase a game digitally only once and play it on both your PS4 and your Vita. All PS4 consoles will need a firmware update and must be connected to the Internet to complete the update. While your console will not always need to be connected to the Internet, a one-time connection is required for the update.Online multiplayer requires a paid PlayStation Plus membership. Some features require a broadband Internet connection; ISP fees apply.PS3 games, controllers and some accessories are not compatible with the PS4.

PS4 provides excellent entertainment

After owning both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, I was curious to see what the next generation of consoles would be. After watching E3 and learning about both the PS4 and the Xbox One, the choice was clear; the PS4 would be far superior in almost every category. The console has a sleek design with beautiful looking games, a ton of content to explore on PSN, and provides entertainment that anyone of any age will find enjoyable.

What's great about it: Games run at 60 FPS
What's not so great: Not a large selection out there for games yet

A film that's literally "out of this world!"

CGI dominates a good amount of films out there today, and rarely will anybody watch a film and think that it wasn't done in a computer. 'Gravity' is not only one of the best looking films out there, but also brings with it a compelling story that anybody will enjoy watching. As the film opens up, a crew is working to repair the Hubble Space Telescope when Houston reports that a missile strike on a satellite has caused a cloud of debris to orbit the Earth. The cloud is heading right for the shuttle and when it hits, it takes you on a ride you won't forget. 'Gravity' is one of the only films today that will make you be on the edge of your seat while clinging to the sides of it to make sure you don't fly off into the empty void of outer space. This film is not one to miss, especially on Blu-ray.

Welcome to the new America!
on February 17, 2014

The opening title screen says it best. "America. 2022. Unemployment is at 1%. Crime is at an all-time low. Violence barely exists... with one exception." By redesigning the government with the new political party, the New Founding Fathers of America, the new national holiday, known as the Purge, the United States has become a utopia for many. On this night, there are no rules; anything goes. As the story follows a rich, upper-class family prepare for the Purge, we see the country lockdown as the sirens and EBS sound. But then, an unexpected turn of events occur. The son disarms the security system to the house and lets a homeless man being chased by a group of masked purgers into the house. As the purgers make their message clear, "Give him to us, or we'll kill all of you," the Sandins must decided whether to give in and participate in the Purge, or defend themselves from the evil that has gripped the country. The Purge offers many things that modern films don't, and with the The Purge: Anarchy on its way this June, it's not a film that many should pass on.

What's great about it: The concept
What's not so great: Many overlook the deeper themes within the film
