Her gritty vocals harken back to the early days of Pat Benatar! I hear it in her songs, her style, her choice of material. This lady is going to be around for quite some time...so stop complaining that you don't like whole albums of material...that rarely happens in this cookie-cuter cd society in which we live...but P!NK does her best to give you something to talk about with each track...for me...FUNHOUSE is just that...a fun house filled with the music of someone's personal life, her ups and downs put out there for all the world to see as she matures into a sexy as heck rock goddess for the modern age...something Miss Spears will never be...and someone that Miss Aguilera will enjoy being a vial of for years to come...they can both sing...and sing anything they want!
This mysterious release from the popular series Vampire Diaries includes all 23 episodes of the show's fourth season, following Elena as she undergoes her continuing tutelage under the mentorship of Damon, who prepares her for both the power and sacrifice it means to become a vampire.

Let me start out by saying I have loved The Vampire Diaries since the very first episode and have been hooked on it since. I never watched it while it was actually airing on T.V so I always waited and bought the DVD set when it came out. The last 3 seasons I finished very quickly but this last season it took me awhile to finish. It wasn't that I didn't like it because I did but it was the lack of keeping me interested until the 4th disc. I really hope season 5 will be better and won't be so different because of Klaus, Rebehka, and Elijah won't be on it due to them having their own spin off maybe they will make guest appearances. All in all I am glad I purchased the Series it's a nice addition to the collection.

The Internship is a comedy that stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. It tells a story about two salesmen of watches who lost their after their company was shutdown. Both decided to change careers after they had a hard time looking for job and decided to try their luck as interns at Google.
I was expecting a great movie similar to the Wedding Crashers.Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as most of the comedic scenes could barely elicit any laughter to the viewers. One probably has to be in the Information Technology industry to appreciate the humor in it.Added to that, this had themes that are far from original and refreshing as it tried to rehash the "underdog" theme that is similar to the Rocky franchise and it also provides us how two people who knew nothing about computers ended up being employees at Google and how they helped their fellow geeky team members to appreciate life more than work and instill self-confidence in them.Overall, there is nothing really groundbreaking about this movie except probably getting a look on the Google Headquarters as it was definitely shot on location.

I admit, I'm a huge Cameron Crowe fan. But, this movie is probably one of the most under rated films of the year. I believe it was heart warming and emotional and at the same time quite realistic. Most if all, the film has an over all deeper meaning about accepting life's circumstances and doing the best you can with them. I could go on and on. I highly recommend this film.

This sequel to "Taken" is more of the same, the first film was so believable & was a real no holds barred suspense thriller about a former CIA operative who knows his way around the world & gets the guys who take his daughter for the purpose of white slavery, he kills many of them in his quest to find her, & rescues her at the end, this follow-up had a good premise, with some family members of the people he killed in the first film wanting revenge, but I feel they really should have had the bad guys coming to Los Angeles to get their revenge rather than have another overseas mishap, some years have passed since the first film's events, & Liam Neeson once again commands the screen as a over protective father, there are some highlights such as him & his ex-wife(Famke Jansen) sort of re-connecting, but then he has a overseas assignment where he is protecting a world leader, once the job is done his ex-wife & daughter make a surprise appearance, this is where you really have to suspend belief, why would a daughter who was kidnapped want to take another overseas trip?, why would her mother want to even take her overseas after what happened in the first film, & why would Neeson even be happy they were there?...knowing the dangers all around them, what follows is more of the same as Neeson & Jansen are taken this time, & the daughter (Maggie Grace) has to help her parents, again there is so much suspension of disbelief here, when what they should have done is have the bad guys come to L.A. & Neeson fight them there, that would have been more believable, this like many sequels suffers from sheer laziness on the part of the filmakers who know they have an audience & do nothing different, this one has its share of action, but it could have been sooo much better!!...& it wasn't.....this one is a mixed bag for me.

I love Phoenix. I was so excited to hear a new album was coming out. I've had it preordered for what feels like forever. They didn't disappoint me. They are such a unique band. I loved most of the CD. Of course Entertainment has the great Phoenix sound. Trying to Be Cool is another great one...Drakkar Noir, Bourgeois and Chloroform, The Real Thing and Don't. The CD is great, if you are a Phoenix fan you are going to want to own this one. It does slow in a few spots, but again, isn't that just part of the Phoenix style. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

"Babel" is the sophomore album from Mumford & Sons. It is just as amazing as "Sigh No More". These songs are not as haunting but still have the awesome banjo and folk vibe that takes Bluegrass/Irish traditional and puts a bit of rock to make the fresh sound that has been lacking in contemporary music for a long time. This album is like going home again. It is a beautiful look into the souls of these 4 men.

G.D really is nearly perfect. I never tire of it. At the same time I think most people miss the point. (By the way, I've NOT seen the Special Edition.) I'm facinated each time watching the totally self centered Bill Murray caught in this marvelous time paradox, living the same day over and over. He goes through differing stages: fear and confusion; euphoria, when he realizes he can do ANYTHING without consequence; despair, when he realizes that life is meaningless if one pursues selfish pleasures without goals; and finally a peaceful self actualization when he dedicates himself toward self improvement and the humanitarian goals his situation gives him the opportunity to pursue. It gives one pause to consider what each of US would do in a similar circumstance. Oh, it's really funny, too.
This release brings together all 23 episodes from the debut season of Person of Interest, a crime thriller starring Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel as a crime-fighting dup who sift through hours of intelligence to recognize people who are likely to commit violent crimes.

Superb new mystery and action series. Great writing, acting, directing. Great work by producer J. J. Abrams and writer Jonathan Nolan (brother of writer/director Christopher Nolan). Easily some of the best television currently on the air anywhere. The vast majority of television is dreck. Person of Interest so far isn't.
Several interesting themes: government monitoring of pretty much everyone and everything nearly everywhere. Computerized analysis of behavior, background, etc., i.e. automated profiling of people. Strong big brother theme which is perhaps within the realm of possibility. A wandering samurai in a big city in the form of a former CIA case officer / special forces solider, though it's not clear how much the CIA military types typically work on HUMINT (human intelligence) and develop spies, so that may be a little off.
I would classify this as science fiction / mystery / action / thriller. It manages to cover multiple genres well which is a rare thing indeed.
There's definitely a very strong action dimension since the hero finds the need to engage in armed and unarmed combat pretty frequently. It's well-presented, super-violent and at the same time not really glorified, which again is unusual. The presentation of instantaneous force is perhaps most like the samurai genre in a definite Eastern zen-like feel, but with hands and modern weapons instead of swords.
The premise and plotting are unusually strong. I'll leave it to other reviews to describe those. I'm definitely interesting in buying these on DVD.
This release compiles the first four films in the highly-successful Terminator series - Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and Terminator Salvation.

If you love the Terminator series and have yet to get them in High Def then this collection is certainly for you. The picture quality is excellent. These films have never looked better.
Some reviewers have reported issues with the T2 disc not playing. I'm using a ps3 and the disc did take a very long time to load, but it didn't eventually load and the two versions of the movie and the extras on the disc all played fine.
The only drawback to this budget version of the collection is that it doesn't include much in the way of extras, but if you're like me and are mostly interested in the movies themselves then you'll find this collection to offer all that you need.
