remake of the original book & film

It brings the original Stephen King story into the modern world without losing too mush of its original story with exception of the mother's villainous characterization being toned down.

What's great about it: stays mostly true to originals
What's not so great: weaker characters than before

Spanish/English about sudden fatherhood

It was more familiar territory (i.e. Delivery Man, Big Daddy, etc.) but is was touching and funny overall, and the dual language format wasn't disruptive. That may be because of the familial and familiar storyline.

What's not so great: uneven pacing

Captain Richard Phillips tries to escape pirates

The story was told without too much embellishment since the true events were exciting and full of danger as they really happened. Hanks brings the character down to Earth instead of exaggerating him to be too unbelievable.

Walt Disney's journey to make Mary Poppins

It is about how Walt Disney convinced P. L. Travers to give him the rights to make Mary Poppins in only 20 years. Supposedly, the Disney studio originally bought the rights to stop it from being made, but instead made this partisan version.

The life of Nelson Mandela was covered admirably if not too short on the details covering too much with too little time in one feature. Complexities of the man, time and struggle were a bit under played.

good follow up to "Hunger Games"

Surprisingly good sequel to a good movie, "The Hunger Games". The ending was, however, more designed to setup the next movie than to satisfy your present viewing experience.
