A solid story that never fully reaches its potential. The 3D is good but not great. I would still recommend the combo pack as it includes all possible versions.
Season 5 of the supernatural drama, based on the novels by L.J. Smith, begins with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) moving into a dorm at nearby Whitmore College and looking forward to a normal freshman experience. Unfortunately, things quickly go sideways when their third roommate, Megan (Hayley Kiyoko), is murdered at a frat party by a vampire, and Elena learns that Megan had a connection to her late father. Meanwhile, Katherine (Dobrev) struggles adapting to being human again after 500 years as a vampire and asks Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to help her now that she is vulnerable to her many enemies. At the top of that list is Stefan's evil doppelgänger Silas (Paul Wesley), who is holding Stefan in a locked box under the sea. Katherine is also disturbed to meet a mysterious young woman named Nadia (Olga Fonda), who reveals to her a secret that dates back to 1490 Bulgaria. As for Bonnie (Kat Graham), she remains trapped on the Other Side and can only communicate with the recently resurrected Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). But unbeknownst to them the Other Side itself is in danger of imploding.
The show in its fifth season is still great, but was slower than its previous seasons. Hopefully it continues to improve following this season. Get the bluray version.
As Elena makes the devastating transition from human to vampire, she finds herself increasingly closer to her mentor, Damon. Elsewhere, Stefan vows to restore Elena's humanity, and Elena's friends search for a vampire cure based on clues found inked onto Jeremy's skin.
The show continues to impress with its constant evolution of characters and dynamics. If you had a choice spring the slightly more expensive bluray version.
The third season of The Vampire Diaries finds Damon and Elena joining forces to rescue Stefan from the clutches of Klaus. Elsewhere, Bonnie and Jeremy struggle with a spirit invasion when a door to the Other Side is opened, while Caroline and Tyler's relationship continues to evolve, and the arrival of an ancient vampire hunter puts all of Mystic Falls in jeopardy.
The second season of The Vampire Diaries finds Elena (Nina Dobrev), Stefan (Paul Wesley, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and the cohabitants of Mystic Falls facing an ancient and terrible evil in Katherine, who hopes to unleash the world's oldest and bloodthirsty vampires in an attempt to destroy Elena once and for all. Meanwhile, vampires aren't the only source of supernatural chaos roaming the woods of Mystic Falls -- werewolves are making a comeback, as well.
Every episode has such a large impact in this growing series. Not one episode is wasted in this season with big events in each episode. The blu-ray is a worthy effort from WB.
Still grieving the tragic death of her parents, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) returns to Mystic Falls High School with hopes of reconnecting with her friends and nurturing what family she has left. All hopes of a normal year fade, however, when she meets Stephen Salvatore (Paul Wesley), a new student, and his brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The siblings share more than just dark good looks, a deep interest in Elena - they're both vampires, and one of them won't stop until he's gotten a taste of Elena's blood.
This movie is hilarious from start to finish and was entertaining throughout. The scenarios and reasons for delaying marriage made sense to a certain extent, but the characters motivations are slowly revealed through the movies run time. The movie is a bit long but it doesn't really feel like a long movie which says something about it. If you are in a relationship and need a good rom-com to watch you can't go wrong with this movie. Definitely worth a watch and a recommendation.

What's great about it: In the tradition of apatow productions
What's not so great: Could use a bit more insight into the characters
Easily the best and funniest in the series. Recommended on the 3D alone - very fun 3D experience for the whole family. This is a great family film to watch and both adults and kids can enjoy this movie. Recommended for a fun evening with the family.
Not a bad chick flick, its a decent comedy but a bit predictable and uneven. Considering the cast, it could have been better and more funny. A decent movie to see for date night.
