GREAT VALUE FOR A BRAND NAME 4K HDR SMART TV
REVIEW: Samsung - 65" - 7 Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR Model:UN65TU7000FXZA
Best Buy Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
Please assume that I have prefaced everything below with “for the price” as this is not an $3K OLED TV, and should not be compared to one. This is a very good Smart 4K TV from Samsung. The setup was quick and easy (step by step on the screen instructions). The picture quality is very good and certainly an improvement over my 2012 HD (1080p) TV from another maker. The standard apps are all included, but also a nice surprise was the dozens of “Samsung TV Plus” channels. I generally watch TV “Over the Air (OTA)” with an antenna for the best picture quality or from 4K streaming sources. It was really cool how the Samsung TV Plus channels integrated into the OTA program guide seamlessly, at first I thought it had found 100 OTA channels instead of my normal 40 OTA channels. The TV PLUS channels are 2nd and 3rd tier content, but streamed in a linear fashion like regular TV. There is a huge variety of programs. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a brand name 4K TV with lots of features while not breaking the bank. It strikes a perfect balance between value and performance. The build quality seems good and it was very well packaged.
CAUTION:
I did not test anything until after I updated the unit to its latest firmware. I would encourage everyone to run the firmware update utility on the TV AND also download the latest firmware from the Samsung website placed it on a USB and then update the TV again (in that order). The firmware on the website was one more version newer than what was automatically downloaded via the TV.
UNBOXING: (see picture)
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
This thing is huge. It is one thing to look at it in the store next to a 55 inch TV, but once you get the box you realize just how large it is. Regardless, it was very well packaged and easy to unbox. I like that I could lift the box off it while still keeping it secure and standing in the bottom of the box. This allowed me to attach my wall mount kit (not included) without having to lay it flat on the floor and risk damaging the screen. I was able to do this all without any help, other than to finally mount it to the wall. I also really liked that they included heavy duty foam material stuck to the sides of the screen, because no matter how much you try not to, you are going to have to touch the screen to lift it out of the box and/or mount it on the wall. This extra protection keeps you from applying to much pressure and thus damaging the screen.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
INITIAL SETUP:
Setup was very easy and I chose to do the setup via remote, but they also have an app you can download to make the task even easier. I was able to connect to it to my WiFi, program the channels, and download the latest updates in a matter of moments. The TV took you step by step through the entire process (like when you set up a computer for the first time). With most electronics and especially with LCD screens I like to perform a long burn in period before I decide to keep it. I ran the TV for 72 hours before sitting down to really kick the tires and write this review.
PERFORMANCE / USAGE:
My first test after watching a few shows OTA was to check out 4K content from Netflix and Amazon. Needless to say, this is where the TV really shines (4K video). I specifically looked for content labeled 4K and HDR and watched an hour or so of programming from each. I found the colors sharp and vibrant from 4K sources. Either due to the size or normal issues with 1080i content (from broadcast TV), it had some graininess to it, not horrible and probably to be expected anytime you “upscale” and image. My next test was streaming 1080p movies to it from my home server. One thing I have always loved about Samsung TV’s is that they will decode just about anything you toss at them. I have other higher-end TVs but due to license restrictions they often reject certain audio and video formats.
Some minor issues to me that might not matter to you. I wish it had more than 2 HDMI inputs. I need 4 inputs at my primary viewing location, thus the TV is relegated to my recreation room. There is space on the TV (blank plates). I assume they had to differentiate this TV from their premium model somehow, and they decided that limiting HDMI ports was one way to do this. Also, there is more reflection from nearby lights than I would have liked. Again, it is not too bad, but on dark scenes a hallway light that is 40 feet away is still distracting.
SUMMARY:
The TV is bright and crisp, though with only 2 HDMI inputs it might limit where / how you use it. Most people will just use 1 HDMI port from their cables box and the built in streaming apps. So it should be fine in that respect.
I would recommend this for people wanting a larger TV for a great price that is easy to setup and use. It is a brand name TV with all the APPS built in so you don’t need an external streaming device. The extra "free" Samsung TV Plus channels are really nice, especially for people without cable.

Enhance your viewing experience when watching TV with this Sony mini sound bar. The front-facing speakers deliver clear top-range and midrange tones so you can hear voices more clearly, while the built-in subwoofer adds resounding bass for a full-bodied sound. This Sony mini soundbar supports USB and Bluetooth connectivity for music playback.

GREAT VALUE – GOOD SOUND – GOOD FEATURES
REVIEW: Sony - 2.1-Channel Soundbar – Black Model:HTS200F
Best Buy Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
Sound quality is VERY VERY subjective. Everyone hears a little differently and has different taste in highs lows etc. I highly suggest you try them out for yourself. For me, personally, I like crisp highs and heavy base. This speaker is zeroed in on the mid-range with decent enough base. I would recommend this for an affordable all around speaker that is clearly better than anything you will find built into a TV or monitor.
UNBOXING: (see picture)
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Well packaged and extras like a good size remote, and included thin digital audio cable is very nice. The first thing I noticed was that there are no analog inputs, so you must get your audio source from HDMI, Digital Audio (fiber), or a USB sound source. This is probably not a showstopper for most people. It is an attractive enough basic looking rectangular soundbar.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
INITIAL SETUP:
My first test of any speaker is to see how it performs with an analog signal from my turntable. So, I started out listening to a few albums. The first challenge was that I had to find an Analog to Bluetooth adapter so that I could pair with the speaker and listen to music. (fortunately, I had one laying around otherwise expect to spend $30 or so). The next small challenge was finding a decent hiding place for the power brick, which I was not expecting. Other sound bars I own have the power supply built into them. A longer AC cord would have been useful. (fortunately, I had others laying around I could use otherwise expect to spend $10-$20 or so). To pair with Bluetooth, I had to find the faint logo on the soundbar and press and hold it until it went into pairing mode. It would have been nice to have better labeled buttons (more visible) or a Bluetooth button on the remote. (maybe there is a better way in the instructions, but who reads them anyway)
PERFORMANCE / USAGE:
Again, I will try to quantify my subjective feelings of the sound quality for a variety of uses.
Audio Only Performance (1-10 best) = 6
Overall TV Sound Quality = 7
Brightness and Voices = 6
Deep Bass = 7
Casual Computer Speaker = 7
Personal Audiophile preference = 6
Remote = 9 (nice, big, won’t get lost, easy to use)
Value for Price = 8
SUMMARY:
I found the sound overall good and “wide” but not bright. I have smaller desktop speakers that cost about 2x-3x more and this comes pretty close to the quality of them at a fraction of the price. My primary use will be to improve the sound of the TV in my recreation room beyond what the built in speakers provide.
I would recommend this for bigger sound on a budget for either a computer speaker or TV soundbar.

GREAT PICTURE / BUILD QUALITY / FAST / FUN
REVIEW: ASUS - TUF Gaming 23.8" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor - Model:VG249Q
SUMMARY
Short Version, Great monitor for 1080P /144hz gaming. The versatility of the stand is great with Tilt, Swivel, Height adjustments, or you can remove the stand for VESA mounts. Colors were true and bright (see pic). The graphics were smooth and jitter free with FreeSync enabled on both the computer and monitor. Having speakers on the monitor was a nice touch as well as VGA, HDMI, and Display ports. If you are after 1080P, I can highly recommend this monitor as either a primary or secondary monitor.
UNBOXING: (see picture)
Well packed, and I really liked the “grab handle” strap to help get it out the box without having to dump it upside down on the floor like other monitors.
MY SETUP FOR THIS TEST / REVIEW
Because results can vary significantly based on CPU and GPU options, I wanted to clearly state what I tested and how I tested this monitor.
PC 1 – (Display Port 1.4) - Lenovo P500 CAD Workstarion W/Xeon 2690-V3 (12 Core / 24 Threads), 32GB RAM, EVGA GTX 1070TI FTW2, Slightly Overclocked (+175), WIN 10 PRO, SSD Boot Drive.
PC 2 – (Display Port 1.2 W/ HDMI Adaptor) – Lenovo T470P, I7-7700HQ (4 Core / 8 Threads), 16GB RAM (2017), W/ GeForce 940MX, Connected Via the docking station, WIN 10 PRO, SSD Boot Drive
TEST SOFTWARE
• DOOM 2016
• STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II (2016)
• Grand Master Chess
• UNIGINE 2 – Superposition Benchmark
TIPS:
1) You must find and manually download the driver for the monitor or else you cant run it at 144hz. Search for ASUS VG249Q Driver Download
2) You should have the latest video card driver for your specific video card.
3) The monitor must be connected with a Display Port 1.2 or greater cable (if you want to use FreeSync)
4) The VG249Q must be your primary monitor (if you want to use FreeSync)
5) You must set both your monitor and video drivers manually to enable FreeSync / GSync, and maybe reboot afterwards to make sure everything takes effect as excepted. Even though this monitor is not the highest level of compatibility with official G-Sync, it is compatible with the “basic” version of G-Sync. (see pics for Nvidia)
IMPRESSIONS
My primary monitor is 4K 60hz, so I was not sure what to expect. On one hand I was apprehensive about a “step down” to 1080P, but also excited about a step up to 144hz. I think the Asus VG2496 will find a good home for fast action first person shooters like Doom. Generally, I prefer the more immersive experience of 4K for slower paced games, even if the refresh rate is slower. I won’t go into the details, but don’t expect your games Frames Per Second to increase just because of the monitor alone. My basic understanding is that FPS is mostly a function of how fast your computer and GPU can work together to pump out screen images (a frame) think of this as processing power, whereas the refresh rate is how fast your monitor can draw the frames. (I know this is not perfectly correct but close enough). A new monitor alone won’t increase the output of your slow gaming system, but if you have enough power, it may make gameplay smoother.
GAMING
For Doom there was a definite improvement in the smoothness of play. Running at about 150FPS in 1080P Ultra/Nightmare mode, quality was a treat. I ran the Nvidia game optimization program beforehand to get the best settings. Dropping the settings manually in subsequent tests did not make much of a difference in FPS or gameplay. For Battlefront, I could tell the difference in heavy battle scenes, but I still prefer my 4K monitor for the immersive experience and “pretty” pictures.
BENCHMARKS
I was able to achieve a respectable 150 fps in 1080p medium testing with the UNIGINE 2 – Superposition Benchmark software, and a scope of 15,700 (see pic). My GPU is only slightly overclocked, nothing crazy or water cooled.
MINOR ISSUES
As I mentioned make sure you have the latest drivers for both monitor and GPU. The monitor software does not self install, you have to unzip it, then go into manage devices, drill down to you “generic monitor” and then “Update the Driver” and then point to where you unzipped the file. This is not user friendly ASUS come on. You should have a monitor setup program that optimizes the installation, and monitor settings.
There is a bump out on the back of the monitor below where the ports are located, I used the best 8K cables I could find for HDMI and Display Port, so they are thick. I had to bend them a great deal just to get them inserted (see pic). There is a lot of strain on the cables.
I hate on screen menus and soft buttons that are required to use advanced features. Just to change the volume you have to select something like 4 menus. If you are going to add speakers at lest make dedicated speaker buttons (see pic). My other primary 4K monitor has a similar soft menu, but also software that you can load so that you can use the mouse and make presets and profiles, no fumbling around trying to guess which button to press.
You can only have One “OSD Game Trick” active at a time. Don’t expect to have Cross Hairs and FPS active at the same time for example.
OK, these are all minor things, and just something to deal with occasionally. I only mention them in case they might bother you.
SUMMARY / FINAL RECOMMENDATION
I would recommend this as a great 1080P / 144hz monitor. It is affordable and packed with features. Yes, it works with G-Sync and is very well built. Any issues I have are minor at best. I expect it to last forever like my previous ASUS monitors and devices.

Review for H&R Block - Deluxe + State Tax Software - Mac|Windows
Tech Insider Network Review
Easy to Download
Easy to Use, but not as guided as other Tax Return Software. Other software tends to interview to prompt you along the way. H&R Block is still fine, it lists a table of questions and it is mostly up to you to know if that items applies to you. This is faster, if you know what you are doing. But, if you unsure about what to do or what has changed, you might want a more interactive experience.
I also did not like it trying to upsell me more services or different versions before I even started using the software.
It got the job done, I have no problem recommending the software. The only slight issue I had is that it was asking me for something, but had no help for this particular field. Instead the help was "check publication xyz for more information". It did not even link to the publication. Instead I had to google for the publication and try to figure it out on my own.
SUMMARY:
It got the job done, easy to use, I trust the results.

GREAT SOUND – ODDLY UNCOMFORTABLY LARGE
REVIEW: Alienware - AW510H Wired 7.1 Gaming Headset for Alienware Area-51m and G3 15 3590 - Lunar Light
BEST BUY: Tech Insider's Network
SUMMARY:
A mixed bag of great sound, but odd fit. No instructions, overpackaged. (NOTE YOU CAN ADJUST THEM BY MOVING THE HEADPHONE CUPS UP OR DOWN INSIDE THE FRAME) I almost returned them for being too large and no adjustment. Just as I was about to box them up, I noticed the “inside” grooves for adjustment.
UNBOXING: (see picture)
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Clunky over-sized packaging that I had to destroy to open up. I could only open it part way (see picture) until I ripped open the box. I think the shelf hang tag got caught up in the inside and would not allow me to pull the box open as designed. A great array of cords, but no instructions, just 20 pages of warranty in 100 languages. I hate this trend of no instructions. They seem very sturdy and should hold up well to lots of use.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
INITIAL SETUP:
I like that it included a variety of cords. I decided to use the USB cord as it was closest to my head (the cords are just an OK length) and the USB ports on my PC which are in the front. Windows found and auto loaded a driver and I was good to go. I thought there must be more to it, so I went to the Dell website and tried to load Alienware Command Center and another driver, but it was not needed. Command Center did not seem to do anything special with the headphones, but I have no experience with Alienware prior to today. Sound was fantastic no issues there at all. Setup was quick and easy as far as the PC goes.
PERFORMANCE / USAGE:
The controls for the headset are in an awkward position on the cord (too high or too low) it basically ends up in my armpit. They only have a volume up/down, but not a mute button. These things are heavy (more than 13 oz’s /450 grams with a cord. It feels like I am wearing a VR headset and it weighs about the same as a Rift S VR set for comparison. I checked them on my spouse and the comment was, it felt like I am wearing a hard hat.
SUMMARY:
Somewhat tongue-in-cheek, I would recommend these if you have a very strong neck! I have another wireless set by a different mfg also over the ear, and they are half the weight but don’t sound as nice. I would recommend for the overall sound quality, but not the weight.

WOW – Might be the best keyboard ever!
REVIEW: Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM XT
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
A great keyboard with everything AND the kitchen sink included. Program a different light for each key if you want. Tie certain behavior to certain keys. It even has a profile to monitor GPU / CPU temps and change lights on your keyboard accordingly. But wait there is more, it also includes different color key caps that are textured and contoured for typical gaming keys like WASD and more. Top this off with the ability to store all of this in the keyboard NVRAM and you just might have the best keyboard ever. I’m just scratching the surface and I look forward to exploring the many nooks and crannies of the keyboard and software (Elgato Stream Deck and iCUE).
MY BACKGROUND:
New to gaming on a PC (this past year). Occasionally game a few hours / week. Games like Battlefront II, No Man’s Sky. Being new to this generation of PC gaming (vs 1980’s arcade 1 joystick 1 button) I’ve been struggling to find the right keys, at the right time without taking a hard look at the keys. I’m also a 60-80 wpm touch typist that normally uses an ergonomic keyboard. So, a traditional keyboard causes me to make lots of mistakes.
MY SETUP:
4K 32 Inch HDR Monitor, with built in KVM switch between my “gaming PC” and my “work PC”. The KVM part is important as the monitor will auto switch the keyboard, mouse, and speakers depending upon which system I’m using (or is selected).
PAST ISSUES:
I’ve tried a few different keyboards, including others from the same maker, but because they did not have onboard NVRAM to store the light profiles and macros every time I changed inputs the keyboard would spaz out and revert to default rainbow patterns (which I hate). Then I would have to fire up the software and force a profile, until the next time. Even just booting up one of the keyboards I would have to watch the super bright default rainbow for however long it takes the system to boot. Many keyboards I’ve tried in the past just felt dead as far as responsiveness, even some medium priced “gaming” keyboard. So far, I have returned maybe 3 keyboards, and keep reverting back to my ergo keyboard (which is really bad for gaming by the way).
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Well packaged and screams deluxe, high end quality immediately. It weighs a million pounds, so you know it won’t slide around your desk. I was shocked to see (2) USB cords wrapped in a thick fabric, but I guess with all the lights and a USB passthrough there was not enough power from a single USB port. The cords are nice and long, so I had no problem routing them around things on my desk to hide them. I do wish it was USB 3 passthrough, but that is a minor issue. The wrist rest is nice and sturdy buy soft.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
INITIAL SETUP:
Like most things these days, there are no instructions. It took about 5 minutes for me to figure out how to use the iCUE Software properly. The “effects” that you add to a profile have a hierarchy, so you move effects higher or lower in priority. In my case I wanted blue glowing keys overall, WSAD in RED so I could find them, and “action” keys QEFX in yellow so I could find them and differentiate them from WSAD. So, the Blue Effect had to go on the bottom of the list then the RED and YELLOW higher up. Lastly, I mapped the overall top border of “trim” lights to be my GPU temperature monitor GREEN,YELLOW,RED depending upon how hot my GPU was. This allows me to turn off the distracting on screen meter that I never read anyway. The icing on the cake was when I popped off the black key caps and put on gray textured WSAD caps to help with contrast when I glance down. WAY COOL!
TIP: When trying to make several keys a different color (like RED WSAD) you must hold down the control key while you “paint” the keys you want to be RED (with the iCUE software). This was not evident, so I spent some time trying to figure out why I could only change one key at a time.
PERFORMANCE:
I must say this is the most comfortable keyboard I’ve used. I can almost type as fast as on my ergonomic keyboard and especially with the textured / contoured WSAD keys I have no issues staying centered. It has just the right amount of give and take when pressing the keys. It feels sturdy and well made. I expect it to last a long time.
SUMMARY:
My initial impressions are all 100% positive, and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a “serious” keyboard.

BRIGHT AND SMALL – YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL
REVIEW: Miroir - HD Pro M289 1080p DLP Projector - Black
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
I had no idea what to expect as I’ve never been that impressed with similar units that I’ve seen at various stores. I was hopeful that the increased lumens would translate into something more usable under more conditions. For the size it is very good. I tried it in a 10x10 room and it easily filled up most of the opposite wall with the image. The colors were good and the image was sharp. I do wish it had finer control over the manual focus. My big clumsy hands had a hard time finding the right sharpness for focus. At mid day with the window blinds down (not blackout) it was pretty good. Once night fell (total blackness) it was perfect. It is not going to work in a well lit room. I had hoped that I could take this on the road and use in conference rooms, but I think it will rely on dark rooms. I like that it is battery powered, but it seems to dim when not on AC power, so it sort of defeats the purpose of having a battery. Overall I like it and will use it mostly as a quick “spare” TV where needed.
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
It is was very nicely packaged, and good unboxing experience. The included manuals are poorly translated and mostly useless. It labels the ports and that is about it. I had assumed it would be a discoverable device (eg WiFi) but that is not the case. It includes a Micro USB to HDMI cable but all my phones use other connectors and I did not feel like buying new cables. In my case I hooked it up to streaming stick and it worked very well.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
I had some struggles getting it to work. I thought it was broken, but then I realized that the lens cover is also the on/off switch. As mentioned, my biggest struggle was the focus knob. I could never get it exactly right because it was so small and over corrected. What seems like the power button is really how you change inputs. The volume was loud enough, of course it was not high fidelity. There are options to hook up external speakers, which I did not test yet.
SUMMARY:
I like it, I think it will get a lot of use. Any concerns I have are very minor and certainly worth the trade off in size. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a balance between size and brightness.

WELL MADE – LOW VELOCITY OF AIR FLOW
REVIEW: Hoover - ONEPWR Cordless Hard Surface Sweeper
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
THIS IS NOT A HIGH POWER LEAF BLOWER. That is not what it is supposed to be. It is primarily for “sweeping” a hard surface using a lower velocity of air. To that extent, it works well for what it is intended. In the past I “Swept” the garage with my leaf blower, it worked, but filled the air with dust and debris, let alone exhaust that filled the garage and the attic. Due to its lower velocity this gently blows the dust without creating a hurricane of dust in the air. I will use this for light cleaning in the garage, front porch, back porch.
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Well packaged and each to unbox and put to immediate use. I charged the battery and was good to go. I did not read the direction, but it was not needed and self evident how the few parts go together. It was a confusing on the box that said something about extra power, which made me think it had 2 batteries, but it only has one, which is fine. I like that it can stand up resting on the battery so that it takes less space when not in use.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
It is easy to use, a total non-brainer. Turn on and point. It did a good job cleaning the garage and porch, but it does struggle with heavier objects. See pictures for what was left behind that were too heavy for this. Powder Dry Leaves – OK. Fresh / Wet Leaves – NO. Dust OK, Spider Webs – NO. Saw Dust OK. Bits of plastic – NO. Again, these are not necessarily negatives, it is the trade off vs making a hurricane blower.
SUMMARY:
Overall, I found it simple and easy to use. It will be my go to blower for light duty jobs. I would recommend it for its intended use.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY 4 – WORTH IT
REVIEW: KitchenAid - 12-Cup Coffee Maker - Onyx Black
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
Quality really makes a difference, you can tell from the second you open the box this is going to be a good investment. We are trying to wean ourselves from single cup brewers to help with the environment. Our first brew with this was perfect. Previously, we tried a cheaper brewer from another mfg and after 4 attempts of the worst coffee ever we tossed it in the garbage. I strongly recommend this over some other common brand makes you might find at a cheap grocery store or hardware store. This is the real deal.
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Everything was securely packaged and individually wrapped. No corners were cut in the mfg or packaging of the product. There are lots of thoughtful touches and hints along the way as you unwrap things. Each of the baskets have handles built in for example. Very nice touch.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
I took my time and read the quick start guide as well as the instructions. I rinsed everything, and ran 3 water only brews to help eliminate the plastic taste that is coming with the first few brews. Once I no longer got a strong plastic odor, I took it for a spin. I course ground enough beans for 4-5 cups, I added 4-5 cups of water and here I am happily drinking my first brew. The included metal filter has a graduated guide on the inside, so that you know just how much ground to put in. I like that you can pour in water the traditional way or remove the water reservoir to fill it separately. I had assumed that you could fill the reservoir and select the number of cups but alas that was not the case. It will run all the water you put into it. Not a deal breaker. Just a bad assumption on my part. I’m not a big user of timers etc. But rest assured that it has these features as well as a “Bold” brew mode and a “Cleaning” mode.
SUMMARY:
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good solid worthwhile not a dime store coffee maker. The black and chrome finishes look great with my other appliances. Though we intended it mostly for parties and large family gatherings it might just find a home on the counter.

Pixelbook Go is the Chromebook that goes anywhere, then keeps going. It's barely 2 pounds* and just 13mm thin. So whether you're collaborating on a Google Doc in a cafe, catching up on emails during a flight, or watching movies while on vacation, you can do more on the go.*Weight varies by configuration and manufacturing process.

LOVE AT FIRST CLICK
REVIEW: Google - Pixelbook Go – M3 - Just Black
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
Perfect for casual browsing, watching videos etc. Battery lasts forever, only charged 2 times in about 2 weeks of use. I tend to browse and shop while watching TV shows or just sitting drinking coffee in the morning. I love that it is so lightweight, but good overall performance.
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Very attractively packaged, it is nice when buying a premium product that it is treated as such throughout the whole user experience. I was nervous at first since this is the entry level “GO” model, but it seems faster overall than my windows laptop that is only a few years old. The backlit keys are a welcome addition to my “couch-surfing”.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
It was easy to setup, attach to my network and Gmail account. The “Bonus Apps” were mostly discounted tools, but that’s OK. My main apps are Netflix, Facebook, and Facebook Games. Movies were smooth and bright and the sound was perfectly fine. The construction is very sturdy and I would have no worries about tossing it in a bag for travel. Having purchased budget Android Tablets in the past that I was immediately disappointed in, I can tell this wont be the case with this Pixelbook GO. With plenty of speed and storage, this will be my new Go To device for every day use. I do wish that it was also a convertible so I could use it as a tablet or e-reader, but that is minor.
SUMMARY:
I would recommend this Chromebook, even the M3 version for people who spend 90% of their computer time on the web. You can even use basic productivity and office apps. Just know that this is not a “Windows” based computer, so don’t expect to run MS Office or Programs designed for windows. For example there is not a direct way to use this to drive a “CRICUT” crafting machine. But it gives me the flexibility to let each of my devices do what they do best.

G535 gives you performance, freedom and comfort for all your gaming sessions. Enjoy advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless, up to 33-hour battery life, and 40 mm drivers for crystal-clear sound. Just 236 grams, an adjustable headband, and soft memory foam earpads ensure all-day comfort.

looking at the packaging, it mentions nothing about supporting Dolby atmos. I went to the store and put it back on the shelf. This product isn't on the logitech site, where is best buy getting this information?

My understanding is that the ATMOS APP (DOLBY ACCESS) from the MS APP Store will support any type/brand of headphone / speaker, since it is all simulated anyway. I don't know why the box and literature don't mention it. I suspect a licensing agreement issue. Meanwhile with or without the logo, it is my understanding you can use the app with any combination so speakers or head phones as long as you "Subscribe" to the app.

How do I enable Dolby Atmos for the 535 headset? I see nothing in GHub, and Windows only has Windows Sonic for Headphones. Is this a program I need to purchase and download through the Microsoft Store? Thank you.

I am by no means an expert on all things Dolby so I can only tell you my experience.

Yes you have to install the "free" Adobe Access App from the windows app store. Then you have to "Subscribe" for the right to unlocking ATMOS capability on the APP. (This is a Dolby thing so don't blame Logitech). When I did this a few months ago, the first year was free, then each year was something like $10-$15. Some of the headset makers are including a free coupon for an extra year. One nice thing is that the app works across multiple platforms with the same subscriptions (at least PC and XBOX is what I have).

I purchased these headphones but GHub does not find them. I've tried reinstalling, rebooting, updating, restarting, no luck. This product is not listed on the Logitech website which gives me concern as to support. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have an exact answer as of today 12/18 I download Ghub (for the first time) and it found them right away. In my case the Dongle is plugged in, Windows 10, and the default speaker is the G535 headset.

Enjoy live TV broadcasts from your favorite local networks without the cable bill! The Core Innovations ANT100TCR Outdoor/Attic Amplified TV Antenna allows you to access HDTV channels up to 100 miles away, free of charge. The 360-degree motorized rotation delivers better range and reception in imperfect locations, and the wireless remote control gives you the flexibility to make adjustments from the comfort of your living room. Enjoy content in up to 4K full HD where supported, and mount the antenna to the included mounting pole to further boost signal strength.

We have been unable to get any of the local network channels. We have scanned this every way possible and have rotated the antenna in all directions. What are we doing wrong? We are missing all the big ones, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS.

if you did not do so already then look at a site like antenna web to get the general direction on where to aim the main antenna. then you can fine tune from there. many phone have compass apps to you help you find where 125 degrees is located (as an example)

disconnect everything and carefully re-attach. little cable goes between motor and dish. long cable goes between motor and controller box. make sure it is plugged into back of controller on the outermost port that says antenna

make sure controller box is plugged in and turned on you should see a red light on the back of the dish if it is all connected properly.

connect the antenna out (either the build in cable or the spare port) to your receiver / tv and scan for channels.

if that does now work, the contact mfg.

good luck

How many TVs will this antenna support?

Buy default you can connect 2 sets (there are 2 ports) , but with a good quality splitter / amplifier you can hook up as many as you want.

Is this a 6 bit panel? Any HDR?

Box does not say HDR and Windows would not let me select HDR, so I assume it is not HDR, still pretty bright though.
