i bought this during the trade and save sell. was never too interested in it, but couldnt find anything to else to get.
the movie was basically home alone meets saw, which makes for so much fun. i ended up really enjoying the movie and went out to trade in some more DVDs so i could pick up the sequel.

What's great about it: plot
What's not so great: picture is dark, hard to see sometimes

when this was in theaters i had no desire to see it. some time after t elft theaters but before the dvd came out i got real excited about it, no idea why.
i decided to just go ahead and pick it up on release and hope it was good.
i was blown away, it was magnificent. probably one of the best blind buys i ever got. story was hilarious, upsetting, heartwarming, and depressed all at the same time. there is literally nothing wrong with this movie, everything about it was great.
go buy it now!

i love batman and own every dvd thats bee released in which he appears. if it werent for batman i wouldnt have bought this. not to say its bad, but just not my cup of tea. it was definitely on the childish side, which was expected, i just prefer a darker batman.
overall it was good though, its just an animated version of the entire video game, which was a little disappointing. i was hoping for a new story. i bought the game when it came out and played through the whole thing, which was lots of fun, but i already knew the entire plot to the movie.
if you really loved the plot of the game or really love batman, pick it up, other wise, give it a pass

i love tarantino but forced myself to wait for the blu ray to see this. i managed to avoid all spoilers and plot points and went into it blind, and was so happy i did. the story was great and full of twists and turns. the acting was amazing, the violence disturbing, and yet it was also hilarious.
my only issue is the packaging. i bought the special edition best buy exclusive set and was very disappointed to find the case it was in was the size of a DVD case, not a blu ray case. i like my collections to be uniform, so this would not work. luckily, i have some movies organized by director and i have both a DVD taraninto collection and blu ray collection. So I simply bought an empty blu ray case, printed a new cover and put that in my blu ray section. and the dvd and its case in with my DVDs. The only issue there is the outside spine is blank, so its actually on my shelf backwards. yes, tiny nitpicky issues, but i know this really bothers some serious collectors.
as for recommending to a friend.... movie yes, but i would recommend getting the regular blu ray, not the BB exclusive.
