A great phone with a pure Android OS experience

A well-built, simple to use, and simple to navigate Android phone. Since the phone is coming from Google themselves, you don't have to deal with the bloatware that you find on many other phones, freeing up the internal storage space for your apps, photos, videos, music, and whatever else you want to carry on your phone.
The camera is amazing and it is immediately accessible from the moment you launch the camera app, making it super easy to snag that photo or video without much of a delay. You can also configure the phone to launch the camera app by simple pressing the Power button twice in quick succession. The back facing camera can take pictures up to 12MP photos and shoot 4k video, the front facing camera can take 8MP photos and shoot 1080P video.
Using the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone feels relatively natural and once you have a finger or two enrolled, you can simply unlock the phone by pressing your finger against the fingerprint scanner. Making it easy to use with one hand to unlock and access the home screen.
Sadly, it does not the ability to wirelessly charge or have an IR blaster for interacting with other devices that can receive IR signals. But considering all the other things that this phone can do, these can simply be ignored. You will definitely want to be careful when carrying the phone around because the aluminum exterior can be easy to slide out of your hand. So a phone case would be highly recommended.
Overall, the phone is amazing and can be used by a wide variety of people. From those with little or no experience in utilizing a smartphone to someone who is savvy with the Android OS. The beautiful design matches up with what you would expect of a new a smartphone.

Immerse yourself in your own little audio world

While using these Bose QuietComfort 35 (QC35) Wireless headphones, it feels like you have found a way to keep the rest of the world out (for the most part) of your ears while you are listening to your music, watching a movie or a video, or pretty much anything else to do with sound. It is a soothing and relaxing experience using these headphones, which allows you to immerse yourself in your own audio environment. With each increase of the volume, the more immersive the experience becomes. When I first put the headphones on (with the power on) without any audio being played through them, certain sounds (like a ventilation fan or a refrigerator) just disappeared, as if whatever is making the sound is not there. Once you have audio going through the headphones, you slowly drown out all other sounds around you, no matter how close they are to you.
Connecting a new device to the headphones is super easy, just pull on the power switch all the way towards the Bluetooth symbol to the right, and you will hear an audio prompt from the headphones which states “Ready to pair” or “Ready to pair to another device” if you were already connected to one or two devices. Access the Bluetooth menu from your device to locate the “Bose QuietComfort 35” and simply connect to them. If you were already connected to two devices when you perform the above action, the last connected device to the headphones will be disconnected so you can pair the headphones to a new device. You are able to connect up to two devices concurrently, this is very convenient because you don’t have to constantly disconnect from one device to connect it to another device.
If your device supports it, you can also use NFC (Near Field Communication) to easily pair the headphones and a smartphone by simply touching both devices together. In order for this to work, you must touch your device to the right side of the headphones and you might have to move your smartphone around a bit until you hear a beep from your smartphone, followed by a prompt on your device, confirming whether or not you want to pair the devices. The connection between your device and the headphones is established via Bluetooth, but this method simplifies it for you, so you don’t have to navigate through your menus until you find the section that controls your Bluetooth adaptor for your smartphone.
When the headphones are turned on, an audio prompt provides the current battery level in a percentage and will automatically connect to your devices while stating the names of the devices that it is connected to. If the name of a device does not contain spaces or contains dashes (ex. USER-LAPTOP-ONE), the headphones will enunciate each letter of the device’s name. When multiple devices are connected, the headphones will monitor the sound output of each connected device. So say you are listening to music from your smartphone, but you want to watch a quick video clip on your laptop, if you press play on the video while listening to music from your smartphone, you will not hear the audio from the video until you pause the music. The same applies the other way around. If you are listening to something from your computer, and start playing music from your smartphone, you won’t hear the music until you pause whatever is producing the audio from your computer.
If you connect the provided 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable to your headphones, the Bluetooth functionality is temporarily disabled until the cable is unplugged from the headphones. If the cable is disconnected, the headphones will act similar to when they are being powered on, stating the power level and the devices connected via Bluetooth. If the battery is completed depleted, the headphones can still be used like a regular pair of headphones, just connect the audio cable to your device from your headphones, that’s it. Charging the headphones is super easy, just connect the Micro USB side of the cable into your headphones and the USB Type A male connector into a computer or an adaptor that supports a USB cable. All the cables and the headphones can be easily carried around with the included carrying case. The case comes with an airplane audio adaptor and a dedicated slot for it, so that the headphones can be used on airplanes.
The headphones are made for extensive use, while maintaining a lightweight form factor, so that you can easily use these headphones for hours on end. I would personally recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a quality built set of headphones with the ability to immerse yourself in your own little audio world. Once you try a set of Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless headphones, it’s hard to try anything else because they will set a new standard for you when it comes to listening to music, watching a video/movie, all while keeping the distractions that are in your environment, out of your ears.

Thin, sophisticated, ultra-portable laptop

After unboxing the laptop (which was a treat in itself) and starting it up, it took about 15 minutes or so to get it configured and to get to the Windows 10 desktop. Probably would have taken less time if I was not manually configuring certain features during setup. As with all pre-built computers, this laptop came with a few applications already pre-installed, but not as many as I have come to expect. Just had McAfee anti-virus software, Microsoft Office, various HP-related software/tools, and that's pretty much it. It was nice not to be bombarded with several different pre-installed applications, all trying to get you to register or sign-up for something.
The overall design of the laptop is superb and blends in well anywhere you take it, it doesn’t stick out as something that shouldn’t be there. The laptop’s performance is fantastic considering how thin this laptop is and the type of hardware that was put into it. Multi-tasking is a breeze and it comes with plenty of hard drive space for all of your applications, documents, and everything else in between. As I was navigating through the desktop, installing my personal applications, running several applications at the same time, I didn’t notice or hear the fans make any noise. Didn’t feel any sort of build-up in heat, which is great for when you’re using the laptop for extended periods of time. The backlit keyboard was not activated when I first started using the laptop and after playing with the functions keys a bit, I was able to turn them on. All the keys except for the space bar are backlit.
But this isn't much of an issue because you can see where the spacebar is with all of the other keys being lit. Typing on the keyboard felt solid and the tactile response that I get while typing is great, similar to typing on a mechanical keyboard, you know when you are hitting a key and when you are not. Of course, you can type a little slower/hitting the keys a bit softer to avoid making excessive keyboard noises.
The biggest thing I really enjoy about this laptop is the thinness, lightweight, and mobility. I'm still amazed at how thin this laptop is. It's almost as if I was holding a slightly thick magazine and that fact that is almost weighs as much as one, continues to amaze me. With the type of mobility that is offered with this laptop though, quite of bit of extras had to be removed in order to achieve this. There are only four ports on this laptop, three of them are USB Type-C (USB-C) ports, two of them also work as Thunderbolt ports, and one headset jack (mic + speakers), that's it. There's no Ethernet port, no disc drive, no regular sized USB ports (you have to buy an adaptor that works with the USB-C ports), and so forth.
Even though USB-C is slowly making its way through the consumer market, it is still a relatively new port format that isn't as widely available as the various other USB port standards we are all use to today. Those being the USB Type A (which is pretty much used by everything such as keyboards, mice, flash drives, printers), Micro USB, etc. Luckily, people can purchase adaptors to convert USB-C ports into various other ports, which can be an annoyance for some people since they have to invest more money to purchase these adaptors. This laptop did come with one HP branded USB-C Male to USB Type A female adaptor. So at least I can plug in an external mouse every once in a while when I need it.
Overall, this laptop is perfect for just about anyone for almost any use. Don’t expect to run graphic intensive games on it, but after working on the Internet, writing up documents, watching movies, playing a little bit of Solitaire, this laptop can handle itself pretty well in many different scenarios. For both casual and business purposes and you can easily take it with you wherever you need to go.

Easy to Setup, Easier to Use Tri-Band Router

First and foremost, this router is BIG, bigger than any typical router that most people will buy for their use. But with this size, it provides a total of 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect up to 8 devices to the router, one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port to connect external storage devices to share with the rest of your network, 8 antennas which can be adjusted in several different positions (which provides excellent range/coverage), and so forth. Of course with a router of this size, it can be difficult to find a good area to place it in while still being close to your Internet modem. The overall build quality of the device is great and what you would expect for something like this router.
The process of performing the initial setup to accessing the internet took about 20 minutes. From getting the router out of the box, adjusting the antennas, removing the protective film, and getting it in place with the various Ethernet cables and power. With this router, the antennas are already in place, so you don’t have to connect them to the router or anything like that. You just need to adjust them how you like it and they are ready to be used.
To finalize the setup, I accessed the router with the computer that was connected to it with an Ethernet cable and followed the prompts. There was about 7 or 8 prompts to go through and that was it, I was up and running with two different Wi-Fi networks (one for 2.4 GHz and one for the dual-band 5 Ghz). The only thing that I had to adjust after the setup had been completed was the name of the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, as I was forced to just append the phrase “_5Ghz” to the 5 Ghz network name (the field with the name was greyed out), but I wanted to use something else for that network.
This router comes equipped with the ability to have a separate “Guest” network so that people visiting your home can access the Internet through your Wi-Fi, but are separated from your private network. You can also prioritize up to three devices utilizing the “Media Prioritization” configuration so that specific devices have a higher priority than others on the network. This is great for when you have multiple people accessing the Internet, playing online games, streaming videos/music, and so forth through this router at the same time.
Overall, this router is perfect for home use, especially if there is a lot of Internet connected devices in the household. Having a Tri-Band system that provides two 5 Ghz bands and one 2.4 Ghz band for Wi-Fi devices makes it convenient to have all sorts of devices connected to the Internet through one router. The range provided by this router is superb, so you don't have to worry about losing Internet access anywhere in your home. The online Control Panel is both easy to use and navigate so you’re able to make a change to any setting with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Great tablet for when you need a bigger screen

The larger screen on the tablet is fantastic for watching movies or videos online as well as playing games that would otherwise be small on a different device. The screen is also great for people that have a harder time seeing things up close. One of the things I didn’t realize at first was the fact that the tablet came with a screen protector already installed by the manufacturer. I had thought it was a general plastic cover to protect the screen of the tablet while it is still in the box.
The finish on the back side of the tablet is very good and I’m able to comfortably and confidently hold the tablet while using it. Even if I have to hold it with just one hand, I don’t feel like I would drop the tablet so easily. Whereas if it had a different type of finish, it could be a lot harder to comfortably hold the tablet for an extended period of time.
The tablet has a slot for an external microSD card, so that you can expand the available memory for the tablet. Which is great because once you start getting your music, videos, photos, games, eBooks, and whatnot onto the tablet, you will use up the space fairly quickly and supports microSD cards of up to 128GBs.
The one thing that bothered me the most was the fact that it only have 1GB of RAM and a bit of extra software that would eat up most of that available RAM. I had to disable a good chunk of those applications to free up the available RAM and make the tablet more responsive while still having the ability to multi-task, since the tablet comes with a Quad-Core processor. Once the applications were disabled and whatnot, performance on the tablet had a noticeable increase. I wasn’t constantly being pestered by the System Doctor application (which is preinstalled on the tablet) about optimizing the tablet.
The device comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop with not available updates at the time of this review. Not sure when Acer will make an update available to Android 6.0.1 so it can have the latest available version of the Operation System and more features that are available in the newer version of Android.
Overall, this tablet has a lot of great features with some minor issues that can be resolved by the user. I look forward to using this tablet extensively for various things, especially for watching movies and whatnot at home, on the go, or wherever I might be.

Easy to use dual-band WiFi router

From unboxing the router to connecting it to my network and getting it online, this router was both easy to setup and easy to use. Took a few minutes to navigate through the web control panel to finalize the installation, but after that, I was connected to the Internet and was able to connect my other devices without any trouble. The only thing that I could consider as a minor inconvenience would be the size. After installing the antennas, you will need a decent sized space to place the router on. Other than that minor inconvenience, I really like using this router and would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a new WiFi router or upgrading their existing one.

Awesome dual-band 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz WiFi router

The Linksys EA7500 is a great dual band WiFi router that supports both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless frequencies with a very easy setup process that most people can go through without much hassle. Took me a couple of clicks to go through the process and I was up and running in a few minutes.
During the initial setup process, the EA7500 can be configured to allow for both wireless frequencies to be accessible as one access point, allowing devices to use either wireless frequency or separate the two bands into two different access points with different network names (SSID) and different passwords. After the initial setup, you have further access to modify the access points. Ranging from disabling the broadcasting of the network names (SSID), adjusting the network modes (such as Mixed, 802.11b/g, etc), channel, and channel width (20Mhz, 40Mhz, etc) and much more.
You can also create a Guest network to allow visitors to connect to the Internet without giving them access to your other computers, web-enabled devices or personal data. The Guest network also supports use of both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless frequencies and you can limit the amount of visitors connecting to your Guest network, with the limit ranging between 5 to 50 guests.
The EA7500's web-based control panel makes it easy to manage your router by providing both a quick overview of your network with a variety of widgets and easy access to advanced settings to further customize your router. It also supports external media devices directly connected to the router through either a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port. This allows for other devices connected to the router to access the external media device with ease.
Overall, this WiFi router is great for anyone looking to buy a new router or looking to upgrade or replace their existing router and make use of a dual-band 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless frequencies. It has a great range so I'm able to connect various device throughout my home and move around freely without the worry of spotty WiFi reception.

Very easy to use for just about everything

I originally purchased this as a sole music player, but I have found myself using it for just about everything. The apps are a nice add-on for the iPod. The screen is small but can handle web pages and other large content with ease. The music plays well whether you use the headphones or the built-in speaker.
32GB of space is plenty of room for just about everything. For music, photos, videos, apps, and everything else you may need. I love the fact that is it so easy to use. I could hand this to a young child and with relative ease they could figure out how to use it.

I purchase two of these monitors to replace my old setup and I required a dual-screen setup. I was going back and forward in deciding what brand and the size of the monitors that I wanted to purchase. The HP monitors were the obvious choice, especially for the price. The buttons are touch based, so no physical button that can be broken. They comes with both a VGA and DVI cable without having to purchase those separately. These monitors support HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA.
The only small-minor issue that I had was with the way the monitors are put together. Otherwise, I love these monitors. They look real good without any adjustments to the monitor settings. If I had to, I would buy even more of these monitors.

Excellent Tablet without the Bloatware

What is there NOT to like about this tablet? Well.. besides it not having a slot for an SD card to add on to the available storage. After you start it up and update it (had to do it twice right out of the box). It comes with stock Android 4.3 with not Bloatware in sight. It is fast, easy to use, and just the right size to do pretty much anything. I use this tablet for both personal and business. Plenty of applications to accomplish a myriad of tasks or to waste time when you need to.
