Nice Keyboard Solution for the Surface Tablet

This is an impressive solid and sturdy Bluetooth keyboard solution for the Microsoft Surface tablets. I have a Surface Pro 3 and the Brydge is definitely an improvement over the standard Surface tablet keyboard. They keys are spaced perfectly and they feel natural when typing. The touchpad is also much nicer than the standard Surface keyboard. The Brydge is nicely put together and not too bad on the overall weight. The Surface tablet fits firmly in the hinges. The tablet bounces a tiny bit when you are touching the screen but the hinges appear to be constructed well and look like they will hold up over time. The Brydge comes with a spare set of hinge inserts which is nice. Pairing the keyboard was very easy and I did not have any issues. If you are looking for a better keyboard for your Surface tablet then the Brydge is definitely your answer.

Excellent Hair Dryer

My daughter and I have long thick hair and have been pleased with the overall performance of the Nanoe so far. The Nanoe has a lot of power, which is plenty to dry our hair. It functions well and seems to do a good job drying our hair without frying or damaging it. The hair dryer has three easy to use heat settings and a “cool shot” button. The cool shot button is nice as it allows you to turn down the heat volume to prevent over drying of your hair. Having the multiple nozzle options is nice and they are easily interchangeable. The unit is sturdy, easy to handle and an attractive color. The sound level of the Nanoe is lower than any other hair dryer that we have used. My only cons with the Nanoe would be the price and lack of retractable cord. The cord is 9 feet long which is a pro as well as a con.

Nice Wi-Fi Range Extender Once You Get It Working

Pretty nice Wi-Fi range extender once you get it working. I tried unsuccessfully twice to configure the device over Wi-Fi but was able to get it configured by directly connecting to the device. The setup steps are easy and the wizard walks you through configuring the device. Physical size of the device isn’t too bad and you can place it just about anywhere in your house to get it out of the way. The location I chose on the first floor and the back of my house was still getting a 75-81% signal strength so placement for me was simple.
I connected a few devices once it was configured without any issues. I already have a AC5400 tri-band router so Wi-Fi signal strength and speeds are already excellent in my house. I showed excellent speeds when switching back and forth between the two wireless network. Where I have the device placed I cannot take advantage of the 5-port GB switch but having that feature is nice.
I have a couple minor issues with the device. First, the network SSID has to be different from your main wireless network (nature of an extender device though). There is no seamless wireless connectivity between the two wireless networks (also nature of an extender device). The Wi-Fi device will stay connected to the one wireless network instead of jumping to the closer wireless network. You cannot rename the SSID on the range extender to the same SSID as your home wireless network. Doing so will create a network loop and you will end up having to reset the device back to factory defaults and walk through the setup wizard again. It would be nice if you could use the GB switch to uplink the device to your home network and set it up as an access point instead.

Impressive Wireless Headphones With Extra Bass

The headphones came packaged nicely and setup instructions were easy. I am not a huge fan of having to use an app to fully control and pair them with a device but that is quite common with most wireless headphones. The nice thing about the app is sound field and bass control options it gives you. I experimented with them for about an hour to find the settings I liked based on what I was listening to. I have them paired with multiple devices – Android Phone, iPhone, and iPad. The headphones only came with a charging USB cable buy you can use any USB based charging power supply. I have tried three different kinds so far without any issues.
The weight of the headphones is quite nice. I have three other wireless headphones and these are lighter then all of them. They fit comfortably on your head and over your ears. The longest period of time I have worn them has been a little over two hours and had no comfort issues. I don’t think I would have any issues wearing them for even longer periods of time. I wish the oval openings for your ears were just a tiny bit larger. I have to shift them around a little when putting them on to get them to fit just right. One nice feature is that the ear pads are replaceable. The control buttons are easily accessible. One note though is that they do not work when you are wired. Battery life is excellent. They are not noise cancelling (listed as sound isolating) but they suppressed most outside noised nicely.
I have used these headphones with music and many movies now. I really like the overall sound quality. Turning on the bass effect can be a bit too much depending on the music type you are listening to. Also, turning it on can drown out some of the mid-high level sounds with some music types and movies with lots of action going on. Play with the settings on the app to minimize this effect. All in all I am very impressed with the headphones. I would definitely recommend them.

Excellent Vacuum With Amazing Cleaning Power!

An excellent vacuum with amazing cleaning power! The performance of this vacuum is very impressive to say the least. The suction power and its ability to pick up debris is the best we have ever seen in any vacuum we have ever used. The vacuum came packaged very nicely. Assembly was a little tricky at first. The instructions are pictures only but once we figured things out it was not that bad. Not all of the accessory tools can be attached to the vacuum. The small rotary brush tool needs to be stored somewhere else and cannot be attached to the vacuum for quick and easy access.
The vacuum has a nice long cord. It does not retract and it has to be wound around the supplied hooks on the back of the vacuum. Locking the vacuum in its upright position is easy for storage but one thing we noticed that pushing the vacuum around on larger pile carpet would cause the vacuum to release and not stay locked into position. Not that big of a deal but just an annoyance when moving the vacuum around.
Vacuuming is easy and maneuverability is nice. It takes a few minutes to get used to the weight of the lower part of the vacuum when maneuvering around but once you do it is easy. The ball rotates easily with the turn of your wrist from the handle and working the vacuum around obstacles was easy. We like that it vacuums all of the way to the edge. Using the accessory hose is a little tricky and my wife found it a little difficult to use to vacuum the stairs. The wand part tucks away inside of the collapsible hose section and she found it a little cumbersome to use. The accessory hose provides excellent suction power and cleans nicely though.
Cleanup is easy. The waste container easily pops off with the touch of a button. You then push the button to release the lower part of the waste container and the debris drops right out. Because the vacuum is so good, it picks up a lot of dust and you need to knock the container on the side of your trash can to get the remaining amount out of the container. This can cause a little bit of a dust cloud.
Overall, we love this vacuum and its cleaning power. We have three dogs and its ability to pick up hair and debris is amazing. Dyson seems to have an excellent customer support and the vacuum comes with a 5-year warranty which is awesome. It seems to be well worth the premium price. We highly recommend it if you have multiple animals in your house or allergies.

Best Blender We Have Ever Had!

Very impressive blender combo. Assembly, disassembly, and clean up are all very easy to do. Cleanup is a breeze as it fits right in the dishwasher. Just make sure to put the lids and blade assemblies in the top rack. Pouring from the container is pretty easy for both thin and thick mixtures. My wife and kids really like the Ninja cups. The safety feature of the pitcher and cups not being properly seated is nice. The blender won’t turn on unless they are properly seated. The “Auto-IQ” feature is really neat and works very well. The Nutri Ninja Duo comes with some wonderful recipe ideas and my family is in the process of trying them all out! Our only complaint is that it is pretty loud. Hands down the best blender we have ever owned!

Very good wireless mesh system for non-tech users

Powerful whole home wireless mesh system but not the system for me. I would recommend this system for non-technical or more novice users looking for an excellent wireless home network and not for technical or advanced users or users that have are large home network made up of wired and wireless devices. The wireless nodes are a nice design and aesthetically pleasing, as they do not look like networking equipment. The power bricks do not block the additional wall outlet plug but will take up two to three spaces on a power strip or UPS depending on the orientation of the plugs.
You will notice right away when you open the box that there are not any installation instructions other than download the app. I already had the app as I use it to manage other routers but I had to remove and reinstall it before it would see the Velop system and start the installation wizard. The app setup wizard failed or just hung a number of times when setting up the parent and child nodes and the app had to be restarted in order to continue with the installation. More than once I had to use the reset button on the child nodes before getting them fully configured. I wanted to incorporate the Velop system with my existing high-end Linksys router and ended up having to call tech support to assist with the configuration. What should have taken probably 15-30 minutes ended up taking over 2 hours to fully configure.
Wireless performance and coverage was quite nice generally, but I experienced some drops in speeds sometimes. I have a high-end Linksys wireless router and the wireless performance between the two systems were close to the same in my 3000+ sq. ft. house. Close proximity tests ranged from 310Mbs to 555Mbs. 30-40 feet away tests ranged from 196Mbs to 321Mbs. There were a handful of times though that the speeds were reduced to 20-30% of those results even though I was in very close range of to the node.
Being an advanced networking user my first complaint is that there is no direct configuration or administration (i.e. web portal). The only way to manage the devices is from the app and configuration options are basic with only a handful of advanced options. There are no real advanced configuration options. Another drawback for me is that there is only one LAN port for wired devices. I have a large home network with many wired and wireless devices connected all of the time, which would require me to purchase an additional switch. My next complaint it that there is no support for dedicated wireless band or Wi-Fi networking control. In addition, I noticed that I had a number of devices that seemed to keep getting moved over to the 2.4GHz band. Finally, there is no USB ports for printer sharing or external storage. Both of which I need.
All in all it is not a bad system. I would recommend this for non-technical users who need excellent wireless performance in a larger area. It would be nice to be able to use the nodes as access points or wireless extenders.

Excellent Cordless Trimmer

This is a very nice cordless wet/dry trimmer. I am impressed with the number of included attachments and their versatility. It will take a little bit of practice and experimenting to find the right settings for each one but they all work very well. The only minor issue with the attachments was that it is a little tricky to get right under your nose. Battery life seems to be excellent and it works very well in wet or dry conditions. My only two minor complaints are that the included bag for the trimmer and attachments didn't have pockets or individual places in it to put each attachment. Everything is just dumped into it and you kind of have to dig around to find the one you are looking for. My other "would be nice to have" would be a charging cradle versus just plugging the charging cable into the bottom of the trimmer.

Excellent Wireless Router

Impressive wireless router! You will notice right away when you take the wireless router out of the box that it is kind of large. You can mount it on your wall though if you don’t have room on your desk. Setup and installation was very easy using the setup wizard. The installation setup wizard automatically starts and walks you through a few easy steps. Once you are done with the basic setup then it takes you into the web UI and you can configure your additional custom settings. Setup takes about 5 minutes without customizations and about 15 minutes with.
All of the settings are pretty straight forward and, if you need it, the help information is very good.
All of the settings and configuration options are what you would expect from this kind of a wireless router. The interface is a little slow to refresh sometimes as you click through things when configuring but not a big deal. I like the network map feature and the ability to fully update the information for all connected devices on my network. When setting up my DHCP reservation I noticed you couldn’t use special characters including spaces (not a huge deal but would be nice). A couple of settings options I don’t like is the inability to configure the logs and alerts to be sent to an email address. I wish it had this feature. Another setting option I don’t like is that you can add only three devices / applications / games to the Medial Prioritization options. I have 16-30 devices connected to my network at any given time. It would be nice to add more than just three.

Wireless signal strength on all bands is very impressive and stable. We have a large brick house with a large yard and the router sits in my office on the second floor. I have not found any weak or dead spots anywhere in my house and I can get a good signal most anywhere in my yard as well. I had to disconnect and then reconnect a couple of my devices to get them to successfully connect but once they did I have had not issues since. The unified wireless network names is a nice feature. Let the device and its wireless adapter decide which radio to connect to. One thing I noticed was the 2.4GHz auto channel select seemed to pick a heavily used channel. It doesn’t look like it is affecting wireless performance but there always seems to be 2-4 neighboring wireless networks on or close to the same channel it selects. Internal and external wired and wireless speed tests are spot on and what I expected. All in all I am very happy with the performance of the WRT3200ACM.

Really nice LED monitor

Pretty impressive IPS LED monitor. I really like the size, weight, and desktop footprint. It is very light, thin, and hardly takes up any space on your desk. Picture quality is very good. Bright, crisp, and the white/black colors are near perfect. The stand is small, slim, and very sturdy since it is metal and not plastic. It only has HDMI (cable included) and VGA inputs so if you have DVI you will need to buy an adapter. My only complaint is the menu and adjustment buttons are on the bottom right corner of the monitor. You kind of have to fumble around with them a little to select the one you need when making adjustments. Not a big deal but would have been nicer to have them on the side where they would be easier to see.
