One of the best from 2012!

Les Miserables is an overwhelming experience, much like the book and stage musical it adapts. In case you didn't know, the story begins when Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) is released from prison after 20 years of hard labor that he was sentenced to after stealing a loaf of bread. He breaks his parole and begins a journey to redeem himself for his crimes, all while Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe) seeks to recapture him. The acting is absolutely fantastic from the whole ensemble cast. The singing is a bit spotty at times(more so from Crowe), but there are still many memorable songs. Highly recommended.

What's great about it: Great acting, plot, and songs.
What's not so great: Singing is a bit meh at times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic show and Blu-ray!

This is one of the best TV shows I've had the pleasure of watching. The show is a mix of western and sci-fi, and the blend is seamless. The dialogue is very witty and there are many memorable characters. The Blu-ray itself is a large upgrade from the DVD edition, but the VFX scenes were rendered at SD resolution, so there will not be as big an upgrade there. At the current rock-bottom prices, though, this is worth an upgrade or a blind-buy.

What's great about it: Great story, characters. The Blu-ray looks and sounds wonderful.
What's not so great: Only lasted one season, FX scenes are pretty rough looking.
I would recommend this to a friend!
