There are lots of readers out there, Kobo is less known than Kindle or Nook but it deserves a look.
Looking at the hardware, you have Kindle, Nook and Kobo with their own branded stores as well as myriad other manufacturers. Independent comparisons consistently rank Kobo first, but all three work similarly and work well. If you do a lot of reading an e ink screen is easier on the eyes, and the backlit versions are worth the extra nickel for most people. More casual readers may be fine with running software on a tablet.
I use Kobo as my dedicated reader because of the purchasing flexibility. You can buy at the Kobo store without having a Kobo reader, and you can use a Kobo reader without ever shopping at the Kobo store. Yes, if you have a Kobo reader purchases at the branded store will automatically sync with the reader just like everyone else, but Kobo also lets you download books as ePub files which can be loaded to any compatible device (pretty much anything but Kindle supports ePub). Also, the Kobo reader supports many formats and books purchased elsewhere, or borrowed from the library, can easily be loaded for reading.
A note on the Kobo Bookstore, it is probably the most flexible for foreign language and international usage but the raw number of titles is significantly smaller than Amazon. It's worth browsing to make sure the selection is adequate in the types of books you read.

Basic smartphone with a surprisingly low price

Let's be perfectly clear, the main selling point of this model is the low price point. An Android phone running 4.X on sale for $50 new is amazing. It you compare it against the better mid or high range phones it's going to fare poorly. On its own merits and given realistic expectations, it does OK.
The front facing camera isn't high resolution but having one at all in this class is a bonus and it's adequate for texting a selfie or conducting a video conference. Swype comes installed as the default keyboard, and others are available for download. Lots of versatility with the settings and preferences. The phone supports 3G but not 4G/LTE high speed data.
The screen's viewing angles aren't great but it's crisp and clear. Less bloatware than some phones but still some things you'll never use. The camera doesn't have a flash but shutter response is fast and the photos are usable.
It's a serviceable entry level phone - not the quickest or most powerful but fine for texting and updating Tumblr. A great way to get onto T-Mobile's non subsidized plans with plenty of functionality for casual users. Power users will want something more substantial (and significantly more expensive).

Didn't expect much, got it to humor a kid. But it turns out we really like it. The flavors, even the non diet varieties, have less sugar than typical drinks and we can also control the carbonation levels to make it less overwhelming for people who don't like strongly carbonated drinks.

This was purchased to replace a large capacity washer that was almost 20 years old. We wanted something big enough to handle king sized comforters but still prefer a top loading machine.
Kudos to Best Buy (Pacific Sales) for an easy, painless delivery and set up. We scheduled in five minutes in store, the truck arrived within the window suggested, and the installers had everything up and running in about twenty minutes. Great job!
For our purposes this machine is ideal. It has a large enough drum to handle big loads, it has enough cycles and options to provide versatility, it is surprisingly quiet and balanced, and on quick wash you can do a touch up load in just over 30 minutes. It cleans well but is gentler on fabrics than a traditional top loader. Very satisfied with the machine and its performance.

I bought this as a replacement for a damaged high end phone. While I wish it had more memory it has the essentials - multi core processor, front camera for video conferencing, Android 4.X, etc. - at a price point that is hard to beat. The phone is responsive and has performed well with all the apps I regularly use. Aesthetically it has a nice look and feel - thin and light despite the large screen size. Setting it up was painless.
To be clear, this is a mid grade phone. If you pay three times as much (unlocked or unsubsidized) you'll get more memory, higher resolution on the cameras, etc. but this phone will do everything the typical user needs unless they simply have to own the latest and biggest thing on the market. For me, given the price and features, there's no contest.

I got this for my youngest mostly for casual web browsing and playing games. He has a netbook for "real" work. At this price point you aren't going to get the highest screen resolution, the longest battery life, or native google certification for Google Play, etc. What do you get? You get a thin, light tablet with adequate performance, a decent capacitive touchscreen and Android 4.X. It connected to my WiFi network easily, runs the "essential" games like Fruit Ninja and the Angry Birds series, lets him check email and the web on the go, and works as a media device to stream or play local movies, music, etc. It works well for what I bought it for, and at significantly lower cost. The tablet comes with two app stores preinstalled, and I easily loaded Amazon's app store. Finding the games and apps he wants has not been a problem. The user interface is not stock Android - it's intuitive what you understand what they've done and is probably great for beginners, but experienced Android users will have a small learning curve. If you need a high end device this isn't it. But for what I needed it meets expectations just fine.
What's great about it: Ease of setup and use, low cost
What's not so great: Poor battery life. So so screen resolution

We have two of these and couldn't be happier with them. I use a 10" tablet for work, but the 7' size is friendlier for casual use as an e-reader and to keep up with email and media. Samsung makes solid devices, the build quality and the performance are great. You can find tablets for half the price but there is a difference in battery life, screen resolution, and Google certification - important if you want to rely on Google Play as a primary application source. For "grown ups" most will be happier spending the extra nickel on the name brand.

Good basic cable. No problems with it. You might want to higher throughput cable for the biggest high def screens, but it works great in my application.

I needed additional volume for a large TV in a kitchen/multi purpose room, but home theater was extreme overkill. The Best Buy sales staff recommended computer speakers as a better, more cost effective alternative.
They were right.; The computer speakers integrated easily with the existing components and provide a significant sound boost. The sound clarity is not as good as some other speakers, but my kids wanted the one with the subwoofer. I would like more control over the sound than a dial to control the bass, It sounds good. Not great, but good. Perfectly adequate for my purposes. I don't expect Logitech to perform like Bose.
What's great about it: Looks great. Strong bass
What's not so great: Overpriced for sound quality. Limited adjustability

my can opener didnt last very long has anyone else had this problem
Most can openers seem to be disposable these days. I've had one of these models for several years and it's been very durable.

Will it an iPhone 6 plus in a Merit water proof case fit in your cell phone car mount?
I have an i phone 6 plus and in an Merit water proof case and want to know if your Xtream Dash/Window Mount will work with my phone. There isn't any information on this on Best Buy's web site and I have read the reviews and that wasn't any help.
I would use a different model. This bracket does not work well with larger phones, or even smaller phones with thick cases.

It'll run Linux, but not a lot of storage space in 32G if you want to make it dual boot.

What is the difference between this and a laptop?
If this and a laptop were close in price, is there any advantage to a tablet?
This bridges the line between a tablet and laptop. If you want to play games or need lots of storage space it's not for you, if you need something portable for quick hits it's great. Works fine as a tablet, but much more flexible with the keyboard.

Do jeans and khakis still come out terribly wrinkled?
We just bought a house with the older model of this, the WM3988HWA. It washes well but the jeans and khakis come out so severely wrinkled that they need to be ironed. Does this newer model have the same issue? We are considering upgrading.
The wrinkles suggest the drum is full - fine for washing, but compromises performance of the dryer. A newer model would suffer the same limitation, dryers work best when the drum is half full or less.

I can't find it in the specifications, or I don't recognize it.
It isn't a smartphone, it uses its a proprietary LG operating system. There are certain java applets that work but you can't use Android or IOS apps.

Does this phone also have a rear camera and what are the mp on the rear camera.

It's got to be a misprint. It doesn't have a selfie camera.

Many apps will run offline. Many android apps are also chromebook compatible.
