A must have for vinyl enthusiasts

Rjd2 has made his fair share of stinkers, but his now legendary debut Dead Ringer is definitely light years ahead of any of his other releases. It's a mash-up record that deserves a spot next to Avalanches- Since I Left You, and DJ Shadow's Endtroducing. It's a strong/defiant mix that comes on 2 LPs. Let me say, LP 1 is great, but I favor LP 2 and love to listen to it as a standalone release when I'm taking a shower before work. Really gets me pumped up for the day, you know? I put it on full blast and open the windows in the morning too to get the whole neighborhood pumped up and ready to go. I let my best friend Leet Larry listen to this release, and he just doesn't get it. "I hate mix cd's Eugene, they don't have any kind of consistency," snarled Larry. "First of all, this isn't a CD," I informed him, "It's a 2 LP remastered vinyl set that has a pristine transfer. Secondly, it absolutely does have consistency, as it seamlessly transcends between styles without feeling out of it's own comfort zone." I then informed Larry to not enter the bathroom ever again when I was taking a shower, even if he did have to take a leak really bad, as my mom was still in the transition of buying a shower curtain after the old one got wrecked. A great release, at a great price, Dead Ringer is a must have for vinyl enthusiasts, but know one thing, the bonus tracks are only available through the mp3 download code voucher, and are not on the vinyl itself.
What's great about it: Awesome mash up of different genre's and styles, great value
What's not so great: The bonus tracks are only available digitally. Not a gatefold release.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For someone who is not a big fan of black metal, it says a lot when an album comes along and blows my socks off. Deafheaven's Sunbather is a seminal release, both challenging and accessible, harrowing and melodic, and downright balls to the wall awesome. My print came on two 45rpm vinyls, one baby pink, and the other clear yellow. The quality of the production is masterful, and the songs go from blistering madness to slow intimate, voyeuristic journeys. When I got my hands on this bad boy, I immediately called my best friend Leet Larry and told him to come over. When the first track Dreamhouse came on, I was overcome with euphoria, while Larry was disgusted. "What's with the guy's voice I tell ya!? It's almost as annoying as the Patterson's dog!" I was like, "Larry, you're missing the point, the instrumentals have laid the foundation to this beautiful track as the vocals have taken backseat to push the harrowing frustrations of our protagonist, you know?" Larry punched the coffee table and shouted back, "Well if ya think yer so smart then tell me what he's sayin!!" I showed him the lyrics and told him to give it a read. Let me say, the lyrics are downright fantastic, and give you goosebumps if you read along with the track. Larry couldn't figure it out though, and insited we turn the record off and listen to Gorillaz Plastic Beach instead. I was like, "Not on your life, Larry. This album has got nothing but universal acclaim and if you're too ignorant to realize that what we're listening to is history in the making, then you should retire your ears and finish eating your chicken nacho cheese chalupa in peace. Serious music fans should give this album a listen on this gorgeous vinyl package.
What's great about it: Unbelievable quality on 2 colored 45rpm vinyls
What's not so great: That the album ends, guys voice takes some getting used to for people not comfortable with the genre

Let me say, Merriweather Post Pavillion is hands down Animal Collective's most well received piece of work. I personally prefer Strawberry Jam for it's sheer unpredictability, and Feels for it's consistent journey of epic triumph. Still Merriweather is a strong release worth listening to, specifically on vinyl. The mastering is so precise on this release that you literally get sucked into a completely different atmosphere with the jaw droppingly majestic opening track. Also the front cover moves by itself and is a real trip. I showed it to my best friend Leet Larry, but Larry couldn't figure it out. He just stared at it like a magic eye and asked, "Where's the 3d animal!?" As a seasoned veteran of the Magic Eye, Larry grew quickly frustrated that nothing was happening when he ogled the cover slightly cross eyed. I explained to him time and time again that you don't need to stare at it like a magic eye for the picture to begin moving but he just wasn't having it. This made him biased when we actually spun the record and he claimed he did not like it. "Impossible, you know?" I said to him. He insisted we listen to something else instead, but I told him absolutely not, because this is my house and my record player. Deal with it, you know? Animal Collective fans already know this album, as it became the poster child for fan conversion with it's more conventional approach to song-making. My Girls was even featured in that lousy show MTV Skins. If you don't have this album on Vinyl, I suggest you get it now.

Just listen to the music

I'm a long time lips fan. In this case, I'm talking about the flaming lips, but still I like the pushy ones too, as long as they're not on fire. Okay okay, so anyway, this record is great. Their newest release the Terror shares some qualities with this one, but in the end of the day, the ambient sparkles of this recording really dances between the optimism of the disbelief and the beauty of the unknown. The Terror is more of an endurance record of being attacked by the unknown and trying to make the best out of the worst. I tried explaining this to my best friend Leet Larry, but all he cares about is when the new Gunther album comes out. What a bag of kicks. Anyway, the bottom line is, The Terror is more of a journey between dark and light, relentless and unforgiving, while Christmas on Mars rewards exploration and doesn't intimidate the buyer on first listen. But Buyer Beware: The movie blows. It has a few sharts of hope but ultimately is an experiment gone wrong by one of the most experimental bands of my time. The music doesn't have anything to do with Christmas, however there is a bonus 45 with two christmas tracks on it, which will be nice for me to annoy Leet Larry with when he's trying to play Halo. Let me say, they are GOOD tracks though. The vinyl comes on clear green, and the bonus tracks come on a white colored 45. As my homeboy Fry from Futurama would say, "Take my Money."
What's great about it: The record is gorgeous
What's not so great: The movie is garbage

Let me say, when the going gets hot, get Woman
on October 5, 2013

So I had a hot date, you know? We went to the Fuddruckers by Best Buy and ate 1 pound burgers and I payed for it. They were both delicious. After that, she wanted to go back to my house. Let me say, I was down. When we got back to my basement, I thought to myself, "What's a good record to spin to set the mood?" Let me say, I'm a player, and I had it covered. I put on Rhye's Woman, the new seductive debut record from Rhye. The second the needle got into the grooves, we were both mesmerised. "What is this?" My date asked. I was like, "Woman, you know?" She was like, "What?" and I was like, "WOMAN LADY! CLEAN OUT YOUR EARS!" It took some explaining but she finally got. It would have been a perfect night, if my best friend Leet Larry wasn't playing my Xbox when we were trying to make out. Still, you can't blame the record for that. I later found out the vocalist was a man, and not actually a woman, but good music, is good music, you know? I keep telling that to Larry, but he refuses to believe it. To you as the reader, believe it. This is hands down one of my top 10 records of the year 2013. A real gem and worth spending the extra buck on to get on a glossy vinyl record. But Buyer Beware: I can never find the dog gone thing because there is no printing on the spine of it. It took me almost a half an hour to find it as I sorted through my extensive collection of vinyl as my date waited patiently for me to set the mood. No wonder I didn't get laid.
What's great about it: Smooth and seductive tunes.
What's not so great: There is no title on the spine

Gorillaz Delivers

So my best friend Leet Larry got the new Gorillaz album on CD. I was like, that's cool and everything, but I'm gonna buy it on 2 180 gram vinyls from best buy, because it will make your 1411kb per second recording sound inferior. Let me say, the vinyl delivered. The Gorillaz have always perfected their production, and to have it on vinyl, just takes it to the highest level it can go. The album is ridiculously enjoyable, but like all of their releases, after you give it about 85 spins, you're gonna grow sick of all the tracks. Empire Ants is always a favorite though. Larry doesn't care for it, but that is because his mind is not very well trained when it comes to listening to good music. Overall, if you can get it for a good price, pick it up, because really, who knows how long it will stay in print. There's one part where the record skips, but that was after I listened to it about 47 times. Larry told me to put it in the bathtub with bath salts to clean it. I think he's full of it though, as he has an inferior mind compared to mine when it comes to the delicacy and value of great music. I recommended Larry buys a copy of it too, even though he still isn't quite sure what a turntable actually is.
What's great about it: The sparkly production, and heavy 180 gram vinyl
What's not so great: Replay value begs some tracks to be skipped

Gamers occupy two distinct, staunchly divided worlds. On the move, app addicts tap away at the touch screens of their mobile phones, slinging birds at pigs or battling zombies with flowers and trees. In the living room, die-hard franchise fans disappear into the battlefields of blockbuster video games that explode onto large-screen HDTVs. From these two separate realities, we all want one thing — gaming's best. OUYA is a new kind of console that turns the gaming world upside-down — bringing the open mobile model to TV for the first time. It looks like a piece of artwork, is developed like a mobile phone, delivers high-definition like a console — and yet is so very different from anything you've seen before.Introducing a whole new way to experience games and entertainment on your TV, OUYA runs on the Android operating system — becoming the first and only console to lets you develop and publish your own games. If you can program for Android, you can program for OUYA — it comes with an SDK built in, giving you all the tools you'll need to make, submit and publish a great game. The Android OS also means you'll have a custom user interface and game store right at your fingertips, stocked not only with games, like the legendary Final Fantasy franchise, but also tons of your favorite Android apps, videos from VEVO, music from iHeartRadio, streaming games from TwitchTV and more entertainment options. There are no discs to buy or scratch — download games directly to OUYA. When it comes to taking the action on screen, OUYA does it the right way, with impeccable graphics rendered by the NVIDIA Tegra3 quad-core processor, high-definition picture via HDMI and wireless navigation with the 2.4GHz controller. Bringing the fractured gaming world together and giving the power to the people — that's what OUYA can do. OUYA

Spit or get off the pot, you know?

So I got this OUYA, you know? I was like, Free the Games. Finally, no more of this mainstream bull scrap. I can't wait to see what weird hits I can get on this one. Let me say, they haven't delivered at all. The emulation is hit or miss. N64 looks fantastic when it runs right, and SNES is great. My biggest gripe? The bluetooth. Using both an OUYA controller and a PS3 controller I have experienced everything from lag to the dog gone thing straight up dropping signal on me. I'm trying to play Super Mario World on this thing, and suddenly Mario up and has a stroke and dies?! Unacceptable, you know? I decided to go into the attic and get my SNES out and play it the old fashioned way instead. As for the original content the system offers, it's a bunch of half baked amateur games with graphics that look like the Atari and the Genesis had a mutated crack baby. The higher end 3d games have too much screen clipping and rarely hold a satisfying frame rate. I figured, it's early on, you know? It just needs to get going. Well, when the controller doesn't work right and the games aren't even cell phone level, there's a big fat funk'n problem. There are a few gems here, however. Ittle Dew, and Bomb Squad are great. Amazing Frog is even worth a spin if you're intoxicated. Me and my best friend Leet Larry both split a 6 pack and let me say, we were laughing our butts off. Butt for every good game, there are 50 bad ones. So for now, the OUYA is under my bed next to my 5 pound weights, and my dress shoes I used to wear when I went to church. What a let down, you know?

how do i download photos to PC?

Plug in a mini usb cable from your computer to your cell phone, and download and use Samsung Kies 3, or, if you have a pair of go nads, click the start button, click computer, and on the left hand side under computer click samsung, go to DCIM and drag and drop your files that way. If you're on a mac, you're plucked. I don't deal with that hipster shpit. but if you WERE on a mac, just download the same program dummy, not calling you the dummy, just the entire Macintosh community. Kudos.
