An Elegant Weapon For A More Civilized Age

I like this minimalist notebook. The packaging is minimalist, just the notebook and the USB-C power adapter in the box for the most part. The left top corner swipe for calculator using the built in number pad is fun, so is activating and using the number pad by itself by tapping the top right corner. There is not much upgrading for this laptop, it is reported that the 8gb ddr5 memory is soldered onto the board, and no expansion for system memory and there is only one SSD slot with a 512gb drive in there. So to get a bigger SSD drive space, you would need to take the existing one out and clone it to a bigger drive and then expand the bigger drive and put it back in, or just put a bigger one in and start from scratch. I think this is the first new laptop I've acquired in a very long time that I didn't add or tweak the hardware in some way. I like the OLED screen and the HDR capability. The "built in" graphics are pretty darn good for what they are. I'm not sure if the 13th Gen i5 Processor architecture takes any credit for that, but it was playing a heavily modded up Legendary Edition Mass Effect Trilogy and it plays great. It's not a gaming notebook per say, but it can handle some lighter gaming. It handles things pretty well for only having 8gb of system memory, this is a very efficient performer with good battery life. I really recommend this notebook for a daily driver, take with you, it's very light, and thin, fairly powerful, very stable. Easy to hook up to external monitor with the Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Dry / Itchy Ears Helper, Works Well!

To use this, you put it in your ear canals, it felt funny at first, since I haven't put liquid treatment in my ear canals in a long time. It helped with dry and sore ear canals from hearing aid and ear bud use for both my wife and myself. It comes with a good amount and will probably last a couple months for the 2 of us when used as needed for symptoms. Takes away dryness and irritation. I will use probably 2 times a week maximum. My ears sometimes feel like they have too much oil in them when I use the full amount recommended, so sometimes I reduce it by a couple drops to help with that feeling of wanted to clean it right back out of my ears. We will see if this gets my wife to wear her hearing aids more often, but maybe she just likes taking breaks from clearly hearing the sound of my voice. You never know. I think it is a good product to try for minor relief, see you doctor if you ears remain tender and sore, you might need medicated relief. If you have itchy ears from earbud or hearing aid, I would recommend. If you have dry ears from general headphone use, I would also recommend it.

Great Tech. The App Makes Them Easy To Setup

Great Tech in these and the App makes getting them fine-tuned a breeze. These use standard zinc-air hearing aid batteries, if somebody already has a traditional (before over the counter OTC options became available) they are already use to these types of batteries. The batteries last about 5 to 8 days as long as you crack open the battery holder when they are not in use. My wife had no problems installing the Lexie app and getting these setup with the easy to use hearing setup session. The 2nd morning, the app was not responsive, and upon restarting it, it would not get past the "programming hearing aids" step. Called the number that came up on the App under HELP, and had a live person helping us in literally less than a minute. They were super helpful running through things to try in order, we had to delete the data on the app and redo the hearing setup session from scratch, but they have worked flawlessly since then. The sound help from these after setup is exceptional. The detail that can be picked up by those with hearing loss will vary, but my wife has reported that the everyday mode helps a lot, but the noisy indoors mode makes a big difference when music, multiple voices, sounds of multiple people moving and doing things in the kitchen. They can hear me clearly around corners now without me raising my voice, and they were able to track me by sound all around the top floor of our house. Just the little things like they were able to hear the raindrops hitting super clearly when the front door was opened while being all the way across the living room. The app makes using these super easy, so you don't have to fiddle with the controls on the hearing aids themselves. Select sound modes, adjust volume levels, check your hearing profile. I wholeheartedly suggest these for those trying the new Over the Counter (OTC) approach to hearing aids.

The headphones I never knew I really wanted

These "look" like headphones made of recycled material. These "feel" like headphones made of recycled material. The battery lasts a long time, partly because it charges some whenever there is a good enough light source shining on the headband. You can also charge via USB-C port.
The Adidas Headphone app works very well with these. You can play with the equalizer for custom settings or choose a preset. I prefer "ROCK". You can also see the light charging via a chart showing the (white) drain (yellow) gain lines. And above that you can see the current state, like mine right now showing "Draining -3.8mA" because I am using them with no appreciable light causing gain or charging. You can also update the firmware on the headset through the app and assign custom actions to the "action" button. Thats the button on the left side that by default on single press or hold, shows the current light condition via turning on the circle-band light on the inside of the bottom of the left side of the headband. Double press by default is your default voice assistant on your phone, as is triple press. As of now, on my headset/phone/app combination, I can only change double and/or triple tap to "Spotify" "adidas running" or "no action".
The right button is a slider button, up/down/right/left/press in, the usual. You use this to answer/drop calls, play/pause, etc. Its pretty easy to get the hang of it.
The sound on these is really good at mid-low to middle-high volume. There is bass in the rock setting, pretty good clarity, you can hear the soft hiss in an old recording like "Nights in White Satin", with pretty good tone reproduction even in the quiet parts. They get pretty loud before distortion creeps in.
The band is pretty tight and these are definitely ON-EAR headphones. There is only a little padding on the cans. I was expecting that my big sensitive ears would not be able to tolerate these very long, but surprisingly I was able to stand them being on about 1 hour 15 minutes before I had to take a break. The band is a very open design, with the exposed wires that say "left" "right" on them, and the expendable headband only down at the cans. So if you have long hair, you are going to get some stuck/pulled out occasionally.
I recommend these headphones for those wanting something that will charge passively, want something that heavily supports recycling and power use reduction, etc.

Window and Light work great. Big Air Fryer

I like this large sized Air Fryer a lot. You can cook a lot of French Fries or Tater Tots at once, like over 6 lbs. The window is a handy feature and a light to more easily see the cooking going on inside. The one negative about the light is this. If the unit is on and the light is on, and then you press the power button to turn the unit off, the light will stay on. To THEN get the light off, you have to turn the unit back on, press the light button to turn it back off, then turn the unit back off with the power button. Minor annoyance.
This cooks well, the default times on the preselects seem very long for most things we cook in it. You can adjust both the temperature and the time to anything you want once you select any preset or the smile face icon. That one is YOUR preset, and what you set it to and start once with, it will keep those settings till you change them yourself. The other negative feedback I got from others in the house was that the colorful icons for the presets should be touch control, they felt it was not intuitive to use the Menu like three bars to cycle through the preset choices.
The pull out basket itself, the bottom pan insert, and the silicone bake basket can all be put in the dishwasher, a big plus, especially the basket, haven't had that option before on other air fryers.
I recommend this air fryer for those who cook for 5 plus, as it really speeds up getting large amounts of frozen potato products done when the oven is otherwise engaged.

Great for almost instant warmth, sound and lights!

I liked these a lot more than I thought I would. The look makes it seem like a microphone, a fun look. The Bluetooth speaker and the light adds a lot to the traditional deck heater, making these more of a year-round device. Unpacking these, the heavy baseplate comes in two pieces, but it's still far easier to have someone's help to attach them.
The app for the towers installed fine and allows you to adjust the lights to many different colors, flashes / patterns or music match color changes. Also some equalizer features to adjust the sound, which is welcome, because the speakers by default do sound a bit underwhelming tone wise, adjusting the settings helps a lot. I have two of the towers and synching the speakers and lights is automatic. Just pair one of them to your phone, turn on the speaker/light switch on the other one, open the app, and it will synch right up.
Now onto the heater. Two settings, 750w and 1500w. There is a thermal safety cutoff that will turn off the heater if it gets too hot, and a tip over safety feature that will turn off the heater if it falls over. Its an infrared heater, so it heats objects and not the air, so perfect for open areas with wind movement. The low setting works well sitting near the heater, and on the high setting, you can feel the heat quite well sitting back from the heater 3 or 4 feet. It's omni directional, so best used by sitting around the heater, i.e. heater in the middle of the group. I recommend this unit wholeheartedly and look forward to using my covered but open deck longer into the winter months this year.

Fun Toy for Kids, Beeps a lot

Fun. Kids liked trying to get it to do what they want. It keeps balance fairly well. With a max of 7 miles an hour and 3 miles max range, you need to keep an eye on the battery level. With riders approaching the weight limit, it does slow down quite a bit on even a slight incline. Turning takes a lot of getting used to. Kids with more skateboard experience had an easier time adapting to using this scooter.
Lights are fun and useful for dusk. And for others to see you.
Sounds. Beeps. I heard some complaints that it beeped a lot and couldn't always figure out why it was beeping. From looking at the instructions, it will beep and flash if the sensor sees something in front of the scooter or are trying to go up an incline deemed too steep.
For an entry level scooter, I think this is a good introduction to the style and use of this type conveyance. Definitely a neighborhood scooter for the kids to get used to riding and controlling it in a flat hard environment. I would recommend this as a first scooter for kids to learn on, and probably a great scooter for long term use for the lighter/younger kids.

Great Spare iPhone/iPad charger

This wall charger is small, good for traveling and as a spare or replacement charger for any of your Apple devices that still take the lightning connector. Standard Apple white color with a very sturdy white cable. The connection is USB-C on the charger to Lightning on the end used for iPhone/iPad. The ends of the cable near each connector are reinforced very well, so it should last through a lot of flexing and bending. I charged an iPhone 11 and the latest version of the standard iPad, and it charged both fairly well. This is not a fast charger, it's only 20w, but charged the iPhone in about an hour from very low charge to full. I charged a kid's iPad overnight no problem, but I'm guessing it would probably take 2 to 3 hours to charge the iPad from low to full. The value on this is pretty good, trying to get a decent Lightning cable when traveling can be pretty expensive for what you get. I'm glad that the connection is USB-C. Now that we have mostly moved away from USB Micro on devices, I think its time to move away from USB-A on the charger end of things for portable devices. I only get charger stations with USB-C ports now, so time to move to mostly USB-C to USB-C cables and of course like the cable that comes with this charger, USB-C to Lightning.

Calf Muscle Treatment on the Go!

I wasn't sure what to expect from these, and my athletic career is squarely in the rear-view mirror, so I let a family member who is an athlete put them through their paces. They play in a Jugger league, it's kind of a mix of field hockey and rugby, but with soft and safe swords/shields/chains. So, a lot of running, starting and stopping, and dropping down on the ground and back up quickly. I got them unboxed and charged up. The two units synch together, so whatever you set on one of them, it will do the same thing on the other one at the exact same time, as long as both units are powered on. You can set the duration and the intensity. It was described to me as like a good manual massage on your calves, starting at the bottom and going up your calf and repeating for the duration. The highest intensity is 7 and it is pretty strong, think like painful response as a tight muscle is squeezed out to looseness from tightness. My athlete definitely could tell the difference after doing 15-minute intensity 7 sessions after each practice for a week. Really helped with recovery. The wrap style to fit most calf sizes works very well.
The units charge pretty quickly. And you can get about 4 or 5 15-minute sessions on intensity 7 on one charge. The portability of these are outstanding, can use them on the go anywhere you need to.
This is a very well-made product and very easy to use and understand. It does it's job very well and will definitely be in the travel bag for the next tournament, which should really help with performance on the 2nd day of the scheduled matches.

Very efficient coffee maker for home use

My family is needing a new coffee brewing station. The design on this is simplified, not much to assemble or take apart for cleaning. There are markers for amount of water for 1 to 4 cups on the reservoir and a reminder that the basket handle is folded down and the top is securely closed.
Positives: it brews pretty fast; 6 cups are brewed quickly. The scoop in the top helps for how much grounds to use, one scoop for two cups of water. The water reservoir removes to fill which is easy and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The classic setting was a bit watery for the coffee drinkers at my house, the rich setting was preferred. There is a button for 1-4 cups, to go along with a lower level of water in the reservoir, which brews even faster. A lot of the parts are dishwasher safe. The permanent filter can be swapped out for paper filters if you prefer.
Both the delay feature and the timer feature worked as advertised to start coffee after an offset of time or at the setting of a certain time of the morning. The clean function worked well, also should clean the parts by hand or in dishwasher about once a week. The warm function comes on after coffee is in the pot, auto turns off after a bit. You can manually turn it back on.
I would recommend this coffee maker for home use, should provide years of coffee for up to 6 or 7 people.

As far as pc compatibility. Is it wired only or Bluetooth? also can I run 2 of them on my PC at once. Like for co op emulators and 2 player games
It is wired only, no batteries.
As far as multiple controllers, I only have the one, can't test 2 of them at once. On my PC right now, I have a Xbox Controller connected via bluetooth and this controller via USB and they are working like normal two controllers for co-op in Humans fall flat. The app for Xbox/PC really only looks like for programming one of them at once. You can rename your controller in the app, so maybe you plug one in, name it, program it, save profile, then unplug, plug the other one in, name it different, program it, save profile. Then plug both in and off you go? Not sure though.
