Awesome mic for all purposes.
on December 17, 2019

The Yeti X builds and improves on the original Blue Yeti in a few different ways. First, the multi-function button/dial in the front has a ring of lights going around it to show how loud the audio is being received by the mic. This goes from green to yellow to red. Red meaning you are running the mic too hot, so you should dial it down to avoid clipping. The mic itself features 4 condenser capsules compared to 3 on the regular Yeti. Bot mics offer 4 recording patterns, including cardioid, stereo, omnidirection and bidirectional. The button to change patters is on the back of the mic.
The mic itself feels of a great build quality. It is heavy, sturdy and looks very nice. The mic and included stand are made of metal and the top of the mic has a metal mesh covering. On the bottom is a threaded hole to attach to something like a tri-pod or boom arm. Also on the bottom is a headphone jack and a micro-USB port to connect the mic. It would have been nice to see USB-C instead, but for some reason they stuck with micro-USB.
The Logitech G-Hub on your computer lets you make several adjustments and changes to the mic. You can change the sound of the audio/voice and the light colors on the mic itself can be changed. This is a very cool option and allows for some customization.
The mic I had been previously using does the job, but it doesn't do it as well as the Yeti X and doesn't have the options. The Yeti X performs great and has the features that a causal user or a professional can appreciate. I would highly recommend one.

Sound quality is good, but comfort/fit very poor.

These Adidas are by the same company that makes the Marshall headphones, Zound Industries. These RPT-01 headphones are a altered version of the Marshall Major on-ear headphones, which are clamping little monsters. Overall sound quality is decent with the RPT-01, but that's about where the good ends. They can be a little bright at times and the bass is actually fairly accurate and composed with most music.
Positives:
+ Uses USB-C for charging/connecting
+ IPX4 water resistant, so sweating on these shouldn't be a problem
+ App allows for audio and action button customization
+ Bluetooth 5.0
+ Strong battery life
Negatives:
- Vice like clamping force
- Headband extension is limited, so not recommended for larger heads
- Material on ear cups is scratchy and not comfortable
- Ear cups have minimal cushioning
- Headband has no padding and a rubber strap across bottom
- Wires going from ear cups to headband are exposed
- Multi-jog nub (button) can be finicky
- These don't fold up or lay flat
- No carrying case of any sort included
- No 3.5mm jack for wired use
Touching on the clamping force with these, it can be brutal. My head is slightly bigger than average and these clamp my ears so tight that they begin to ache after about 15 minutes. I also have the headband extended to maximum and they barely fit. If I wear a sock hat they are too small. Anybody with an truly large head will have problems with these small sized headphones. No padding at all on the headband also adds to these getting an a big thumbs down for comfort and fit, which is as important or maybe even more important than sound quality. Big head folks had better steer clear.

Heavy box, but delivers a heavy sound.
on October 29, 2019
Posted by: MIXMASTERICE

First of all, this speaker delivers quite a bit of bass for it's size. Some may feel it's too "bassy." It's a ported design, with the port located on the back bottom corner. Bass is delivered by a rear-firing 10w woofer and there are two 5w tweeters, one in front and one in rear. This gives the Ralis multi-directional sound. For just 20w total, the speaker sounds really nice and can get fairly loud, but not extremely loud.
Positives:
+ Solid bass response for this size speaker
+ 20 hour battery that is fully charged in 2 hours
+ Connect 2 devices at once using internal battery, 3 devices via AC
+ Overall sound is really good for a speaker this size
+ Uses latest Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connection
+ USB port in back for charging other devices
+ Volume level remains the same when using AC or internal battery
Negatives:
- Speaker is on the heavy side for portable use
- Only IPX2 rated, which is very limited to light drops
- Top buttons flush mounted and would benefit from being illuminated
- Plain looking design
- Start button must be pushed to see battery level (light color)
- Uses standard AC cord and cannot be charged via USB
Overall, the Ralis is a great speaker with a few little things that hold it back from being 5 stars. This wouldn't be the best option for on the go use due to it's blocky design, weight and very limited IPX rating. I would categorize this speaker as more of a bedroom speaker that can be grabbed and taken on something like a picnic, BBQ or other gathering. As of this writing of this review, the Ralis is currently on sale for 25% off for all colors, so I would definitely recommend this speaker for somebody wanting a quality made speaker with great sound.

Not recommended for bigger than average heads.

First off, the sound quality of the PX5 is very good. They offer a fairly balanced sound, with good clarity, separation and detail in the upper-mids and highs. Bass is a little thin, so these aren't the best for people who prefer a more bass heavy sound signature. They don't get extremely loud, so keep that in mind if you like to punish your eardrums. These do have some notable negatives, however.
Positives:
+ Balanced sound
+ Adjustable Active noise Cancellation
+ Quality construction
+ App available to download for your device
+ Auto pause of the audio when headphones are taken off
+ Can be paired to two devices
+ illumination notification for battery life, pairing status and calls
+ Ambient sound pass-through option
Negatives:
- Headband adjustment is a bit small for larger heads
- Headband is narrow and has very little cushion
- Headband has no markings or notched settings for size adjustment
- Clamping force is a bit strong and can cause discomfort
- ANC capability not up to par with similar priced competitors
- Headphones must be powered on when using 3.5mm wired
connection
- No voice or tone indicator for max volume
- Used as a wired headset with a mod-mic, volume not very loud
- Fairly heavy for this smaller sized headphones
- Only come with a soft case, not a hard case.
- Headphones do not fold up for portability
The PX5 come in at 265g when I weighed them on a scale that is usually accurate within 1-2 grams. B&W lists these at 241g, so they are a bit heavier than listed. 265g is not overly heavy, but for this size of headphones and on-ear style, they are little weighty and "bottom heavy." Comfort wise the ear cups have a nice cushions on them, but the clamping force can be a little bothersome after a short time of use. I have a slightly larger than average head and had to fully adjust the headband to maximum extension and they barely fit, so people with large heads may run into an issue with fit. The headband itself is thin and more rounded where your head rests, with very little padding. This can also cause some comfort issues with extended use. The PX5 just doesn't have a well designed headband and has no indicators of any sort to get the left and right sides matched.
A few other oddities of the PX5 are as follows. The headphones have nice voice prompts and tones for stuff like pairing and powering off, yet nothing for max volume level. This is a strange omission, as even most budget headphones have this. It's also strange that the headphones are required to be powered on when used in wired, passive mode. One of the benefits most Bluetooth headphones tout is the ability to continue listening to your headphones in wired mode if the battery runs out. Requiring the headphones to be powered on to run passively is not a good design.
Overall, these are a nice sounding pair of headphones for those who prefer a more flat sound signature. They have several quirks and their small size make them not a pair I would recommend for those with larger than average heads. For the MSRP, there are better, more comfortable options, but the PX5 certainly could be a good option for the right person that wants an on-ear headphone with ANC, as there aren't many on-ear ANC compared to over-ear ANC.

Not a whole lot to say on this coffee maker other than it works perfect. It has a good look to it, not looking like a cheap-o coffee maker. The built-in clock/timer allows you to set it to where you wake up to freshly brewed coffee. 12 cup capacity makes it one for the family. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but do drink coffee in the cooler months of the year. I've always had a cheapy coffee maker and there have been some issues with those. This Mr. Coffee model doesn't have any quirks or issues, just does the job very well. I recommend it .

Not the electric toothbrush for me, unfortunately.
on October 12, 2019

First off, this isn't a bad electric toothbrush. The built-in rechargeable battery and magnetic charging base is and a clean, simple design. The tooth brush operates at 3 speeds of your choice and will pause briefly at 30 second intervals, turning off automatically at 2 minutes. It comes with two brush heads, both of which appear to be exactly the same.
So that all sounds good, but the overall performance isn't really impressive in my view. The brush heads are soft, so if you prefer a medium or even hard brush head, that isn't included. The brush head itself has no part of it that spins, rotates or moves. The Boka is just a straight vibrating from the base toothbrush, but does vibrate at a high speed. So high that it kind of feels odd to me. I've been using lesser electric/battery powered toothbrushes for several years and the Boka just doesn't seem to do that great of a job. I think I'll stick to my old faithful.

Nice little speaker for on the go use.
on October 10, 2019
Posted by: MIXMASTERICE

Insignia has come out with several different portable Bluetooth speakers over the past several years. I've owned a few of them and this latest Sonic speaker is very good overall.
The speaker itself is fairly small, with a directional, front-firing design. The front is covered with a mesh-like material and the rest of the body covered by a hard plastic. It does have kind of a cheap feel to it, but seems to be sufficient by design. There is a rubber flap in back that covers the micro-USB charging port and 3.5mm jack. It would have been nice to see USB C used instead, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Speaker is IPX5 rated so it will be water resistant to sprays and splashes, but not waterproof.
Sound quality is pretty good for a speaker of this size. Not strong bass, but it does have some bass output. Overall sound is pretty clear and the speaker gets fairly loud for something this size and doesn't get too distorted when turned up to max volume. Battery life is very good, but it would have been nice to have some way to check the battery level like a light bar or verbal notification with a button press. All this speaker offers is a beep notification when the battery is low. This speaker can also be used for phone calls and it does a decent job doing this. People on the other end can tell you aren't on an actual phone, but can hear you clear enough to make it a usable option.
Overall, a very solid offering for a small, portable speaker. It does also have the ability to be paired with another of the same speaker wirelessly, so you can enjoy even better sound. I have noticed the Sonic has already been on sale a couple of times, despite being a fairly new model. I would recommend this speaker, but would also recommend waiting on a sale. It's too bad it doesn't come in more color options than basic black, but maybe they will bring out more colors in the future.

Excellent PC Headset with a few minor issues.
on October 7, 2019
Posted by: MIXMASTERICE
from Missouri
First off, this is a really high quality feeling and looking headset. Very sturdy build quality and comfortable ear cups. On the flip side of that, this is a really heavy headset and pretty bulky. I'm not sure if it's the heaviest I've ever used, but it's at least one of the heaviest. This can be an issue with long periods of constant use.
The Turtle Beach Control studio gives you a slew of options and features for this headset on your PC. You can pretty much configure everything from mic monitoring to what they call "Superhuman Hearing." There is so much customization here that I can't imagine needing anything else to optimize the sound to your liking.
Sound quality is really great. Details in games comes through great and positional sounds are easy to track. Great gaming headset. For other stuff while on PC like music or movies, these are also great. I noticed no latency issues with watching videos. Sound of the mic is also good, but there is some noticeable sibilance if you have the mic very close to your mouth. I suggest keeping it a decent distance from your mouth when using it.
Overall, a really nice wireless headset. One down side, which I didn't take off for in the score, is these don't work well with PS4 wirelessly. To be fair, these aren't advertised as a wireless headset for PS4. They will kind of work wireless on PS4, but you have no control over the sound other than from the PS4 menu. The sound is low no matter what you do, so wireless these aren't a good option. They do come with a 3.5mm cable with in-line mic to use on PS4 or other devices that have a 3.5mm jack. It would have been nice if these had worked wireless with PS4, as other wireless PC headsets have this option. Maybe in a future firmware upgrade or something. Anyway, I recommend these for a quality PC headset.

Speedy file transfers and a great option for PS4.

First one I received was DOA. Seagate sent me a replacement drive and that one works perfect. Drive is recognized right away and on my PC the file transfers are speedy and no issues. The drive is also very quiet while operating. 5TB is a lot of storage space, particularly for a USB powered drive. This drive, IMO, is a great option for a game system like PS4. You'll have plenty of storage for games and updates, since the PS4 standard 1TB drive gets eaten up pretty quickly initially.

I'll never go back to an oil fryer.
on September 4, 2019
Posted by: MIXMASTERICE
from Missouri
First off, this is so much easier, quicker and less messy than using an oil fryer. No oil to heat up. No messy oil to clean up. No chance of getting hot oil burns. Does the air fryer replicate the oil frying process exactly? No, but it comes pretty close. The Ninja fryer heats up really fast and works great. There are a variety of settings and everything I've tried so far has turned out above average to great. Hushpuppies, battered fish, fries, chicken nuggets, pizza rolls you name it. The fryer heats up fast and cooks fast. I did have to adjust the cook times down noticeably, since this cooks pretty fast. If you have the basket fairly full, it is a good idea to stop and shuffle the items around to ensure a more even cooking result.
Overall, this is just the way to go to get crispy fried foods without the unhealthy oil and mess associated with a traditional air fryer. Two thumbs up. I recommend trying the frozen pretzels you can find at your grocery store in the air fryer. Cooked for just a few minutes at a lower temp and they come out crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside.

Excellent considering the price
By HABABONE from New Berlin, WI
Pros: Paid $50 for a pair during Black Friday which is one heck of an deal. Polk makes nice looking speakers with pretty good audio quality. T15 are perfect computer speakers, small enough to be placed almost any where, and more powerful than your typical Creative or Logitech speakers. The biggest downside I had was using bookshelf speakers as part of my home theater 7.1 setup, something T15s cannot handle.
Cons: I purchased T15s speakers to complete my 7.1 Surround Sound setup. I'm using Polk Monitor 75s for my front, Polk 70S for my rear, Polk TSX150C for my center, and BIC F12 for my Subs. Upon testing my floor standing speakers completely drowns out these book shelf speakers, I couldn't even tell they were on unless I put my ears right next to them or turn all speakers volume down to -2 and kept the T15 at 10. So I sold this model to my brother for the same price to upgrade his PC speakers, at which they sound great.
Other Thoughts
For PC speakers I would rate these and 5 out of 5, but for home theater setups with floor standing speakers, you will be better off going with Polk Monitors 40-45 for $120-80.

I have the Monitor 70 Series II for fronts, as well as Monitor 50 Series II for side surrounds. I'm currently using the T15's for rear surround. You must have set up your system wrong or something. I have my surround setup perfectly balanced and in no way do the T15's not hold up their end of the sound chain. Run an auto setup or tweak it yourself, but there should be no reason you can't hear the T15's clearly. Perhaps you were using a receiver mode that didn't properly use the speakers?

Great compact stereo
By GrannyandGrampy247
Our 14 yr. old grandson had picked this stereo out after testing ALL the stereos on ALL the shelves. He is very meticulous about his musical instruments, speakers, headphones and ear buds and when he heard the sounds, tones and bass come out of this compact stereo he was gleaming. Just as they were about to close his brother reached up and found the button that turned on the lights in the speaker! That was priceless!! He had asked for a speaker with lights in it. It works great! People were awesome, got a price match ad, they helped us wrap it up to hide it the day we purchased it! The quality and sound and functionality is a 10 out 10. We have had it for about a month now.
