Good PS4 headset, but not multi-purpose.

First off, Plantronics makes a headset called the Rig 500 Pro, not to be confused with this headset, the Rig 500 Pro HS. The Rig 500 Pro has a metal top band and a standard 3.5mm cable with inline volume control. This model being reviewed, the HS, is all plastic and features the new "Game Audio Dial", which is a volume knob in a molded plastic connector that is designed to connect only to a PS4 controller. This isn't designed to be used with PC or XBox One. There is no other cable included, but if you buy or have another, then you could use this with something other than PS4.
The headset is fairly light weight and is comfortable to use. The all plastic design does have a cheap feel to it and I'm not sure how durable this would be long term. The ear cups are not quite large enough to fit larger ears as "over-ear" and would probably be considered more of on-ear. Compared to the Logitech G-Pro headset, the G-Pro has larger over-ear cups and a traditional adjustable band. The G-Pro seems more sturdy and a bit better build quality, although they are heavier.
Sound wise the Rig 500 Pro HS sound very clear and balanced. Nothing jumps out as sounding overly bad or good. To my ears, they had a bit more detail, depth and bass than the G-Pro. They don't isolate background noise quite as well as the G-Pro design.
Overall, this is a good headset for the intermediate price. They have a detachable connection cord and detachable mic, which you usually don't find with less expensive, lower quality headsets. The mic has the flip-up to mute design, which I'm not overly wild about. Mic quality from those I asked to compare as I switched back and forth between these and the G-Pro seemed very similar and both had good clarity.
I would recommend these to somebody wanting a solid headset at a price that won't break the bank. If somebody had more than just the PS4 to play games on, I would recommend the Rig 500 Pro over these due to the universal connection. The "Game Audio Dial" is kind of a neat option, but it comes at the expense of making these system specific, which I feel is a poor trade-off.

G305 features the next-gen HERO sensor with 12,000 DPI sensitivity and LIGHTSPEED wireless 1 ms performance. It’s long-lasting with 250 gaming hours from one AA battery (an indicator light reminds you before you need a new AA), ultra-portable with built-in nano receiver storage, lightweight weighing in at 99 grams, and ready to game with 6 programmable buttons. G305 is the LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse for all.

Out of the box, the G305 feels a little on the cheap side. It's just a basic mouse with no textured grip and no contours for your hand. Lacks any real ergonomics and only has two side buttons. It looks and feels a lot like a basic $20 mouse you would buy. It is wireless, but requires a USB receiver, no Bluetooth option. The scroll wheel feels cheap and clunky.
Performance wise the mouse is very responsive and accurate. I had no problems using it, nor did it ever seem to lose connection at any time. It's a pretty light-weight mouse, even with a AA battery installed. I would have liked a little more weight to a gaming mouse.
Overall, this is a solid, basic mouse for gaming. It's a no frills, entry level mouse that has no premium features or design qualities. I actually prefer the much less expensive Logitech G300S for it's design and functionality, but that is a wired mouse. I would stick with wired.

Good general gaminng keyboard

Out of the box this is a fairly heavy keyboard. The aluminum chassis is well made and the keyboard stays put well when in use. For gaming, this keyboard gives you a host of options for key pre-sets and lighting. The Logitech G Hub you set up online gives you some great options. There is a pass-thru USB cable attached to the end so you can utilize the USB jack on the back right side of the keyboard. I've used it to charge my phone and it's a convenient feature.
While using for gaming, I noticed no problems with rapid key strokes registering. Some games like the ever popular Fortnite often have you pushing keys very rapidly. The G513 seemed up to the task. For general PC use, the clicky keys may not be for everybody. They can be pretty loud, especially if you are in a quiet environment.
Overall, this is a very solid keyboard for gaming and has a lot of customizable options. My biggest complaint would be that the secondary functions on the keys don't light up. I've seen other, similar keyboards that do have this included. The included memory foam wrist/palm rest pad is very comfortable, although it doesn't actually attach to the keyboard. I would recommend this to those gamers who want a quality keyboard.

Simple design with a comfortable fit.

First thing I noticed when using these with PS4 is the volume level is low, even with the in-line volume level at maximum. I had to turn the volume level on the PS4 setting up to a few notches from maximum. This headset has pretty decent clarity, but the bass is a little thin. Explosions, gun shots and such don't have the impact that you would expect. Microphone seems to be very good on this headset and it is detachable, as is the the 3.5mm connector cord.
Comfort wise they are easy to wear for extended gaming sessions. They come with a secondary set of ear cushions, but I found the leatherette ones that come already attached were the best. These are over the ear design and should work for most ear sizes. They can also be rotated to lay flat if you have them resting on your neck, which is a plus.
I would say these are good for gaming, but not as much so for music listening. I did notice the audio cuts out periodically while gaming and am not sure why. I would say these are worth a buy for those who want a solid build quality and a comfortable fit for extended gamins sessions.

A trip down memory lane, but without the cords.

These headphones may not look like much, because they aren't. A very simplistic look aimed at replicating the style of those 80's headphones that almost everyone of that era had at one time or another. Simple foam cushions with an on-ear design. Headphones come with a spare pair of ear cushions, instructions and a micro-USB cable, which is light blue to I guess match the light blue version of these that is also available.
The simplistic look is also carried over to the controls. One button (the entire outer right earpiece, controls everything. There is a mic for receiving calls, but that probably should have just been left off this design, as it doesn't work very well. You do get voice prompts at times like start up and disconnect and are also told at start up if your battery is full, medium etc.. The micro USB port is tucked away at the bottom of the left earpiece and you have to pull back the foam cushion a bit to access it. Not the best location, but not a real issue. There is a light next to it that shines red when they are charging and blue when they are fully charged.
These are fully wireless headphones, so they will only connect to devices that support Bluetooth. I had no issues connecting to my LG Android phone and the connection remained constant, with only an occasional slight hiccup. Battery life I found to be around 10 hours, but of course that will vary based on how loud you play them. There is no dedicated volume control on the headphones, so your device will fully control the sound level.
Sound quality on these is about to be what you would expect from a $20 pair of on-ear headphones. I was actually expecting them to sound poor, but they actually have a nice and clear sound. Bass isn't the strongest, but I wouldn't expect heavy bass from such a lightweight, inexpensive pair of headphones. There are three pre-set EQ modes you can select from the headphones to change the sound to a certain degree.
All in all, these are some decent retro headphones. They won't impress anybody under 40, but those over 40 will likely remember the day when this style of headphones was very common. I think they are well worth the money.

Good general purpose desktop.
on July 25, 2018

First off, this PC is very easy to get up and running. The included keyboard and mouse are very basic, but get the job done. It has 9 total USB ports, 6 of which are 3.1 (two on front and 4 on back) and even a USB-C port on the front. The other two on the back are 2.0 and work for the included keyboard and mouse. This PC also supports Bluetooth 4.2. I would recommend using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to get the clutter of the wires out of the way. I had no problems with the Bluetooth connectivity to different devices and it's a nice feature to have at this price point. WiFi also works flawlessly and I have never lost connection.
This desktop I would consider more of a general purpose PC that lacks a dedicated GPU and not really powerful enough or upgradable enough to be a serious gaming rig. The design of the tower makes it fairly compact and it would be hard to do something like put a beefier power supply.
The PC does have a large 1TB HDD, although not solid state (can't really expect that at this price), and 12GB of RAM, which I found to make multi-tasking work well with multiple windows and programs going on simultaneously. Pages and programs load quickly and it takes quite a bit going on for it to seem strained.
Overall, you get what you pay for with this PC. It's not going to wow you with anything it does, but it does several things well enough. I don't think anybody would be looking at this for serious gaming, but you can dabble in some gaming in what would be better described as a good back to school/multi-media PC.

This is a very affordable UHD TV with HDR10. Picture quality, viewing angles and features are all solid. Biggest negative is the light bleed in when the screen is perfectly dark, but this tends to be a fairly common issue with all but the higher end models that cost much more. Works really well with XBox One S running UHD Blu Ray and up-scaling regular Blu Ray.

Positives are>
1. Long lasting battery.
2. Snappy processor speed.
3. Good price when on sale.
4. Nice sized screen, but not overly large
Negatives are>
1. Screen brightness less than similar phones
2. Rear speaker not that great
3. Average front and rear cameras.
This is a good phone for average usage. It's strength is in the high capacity battery and the 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor. If you can get this phone on sale for $50-$80, it's a great option.

Lots of crazy action and a great movie for bass.

First off, this movie, along with the others in the series, is really crazy. There is a lot of action and gruesome killing and violence. Best part is the LFE in this movie is really intense. If you have a quality subwoofer, this is one of the better movies to get to really get a feel for the action. Highly recommended.

Very frustrating laptop to use.

First off, this laptop often runs like it has @GB of RAM, not 8. Videos, even 480p can often run choppy. Simple browsing can sometimes become sluggish and slow. The laptop will often encounter a problem and just shut down at random times. VERY disappointed in this computer and will never buy HP again. I've had problems with HP computers in the past, so this was the last straw.

Great quality non-smart tv
By HDSILVER08 from Waco
Really like the tv. Picture and sound quality are great and the tv is a good value because it isn't burdened with "smart" tv features or 3D. I was disappointed that it didn't have PIP. I didn't even think to look twice as I thought that was a pretty basic feature.

Excellent considering the price
By HABABONE from New Berlin, WI
Pros: Paid $50 for a pair during Black Friday which is one heck of an deal. Polk makes nice looking speakers with pretty good audio quality. T15 are perfect computer speakers, small enough to be placed almost any where, and more powerful than your typical Creative or Logitech speakers. The biggest downside I had was using bookshelf speakers as part of my home theater 7.1 setup, something T15s cannot handle.
Cons: I purchased T15s speakers to complete my 7.1 Surround Sound setup. I'm using Polk Monitor 75s for my front, Polk 70S for my rear, Polk TSX150C for my center, and BIC F12 for my Subs. Upon testing my floor standing speakers completely drowns out these book shelf speakers, I couldn't even tell they were on unless I put my ears right next to them or turn all speakers volume down to -2 and kept the T15 at 10. So I sold this model to my brother for the same price to upgrade his PC speakers, at which they sound great.
Other Thoughts
For PC speakers I would rate these and 5 out of 5, but for home theater setups with floor standing speakers, you will be better off going with Polk Monitors 40-45 for $120-80.

User error.
January 5, 2014
I have the Monitor 70 Series II for fronts, as well as Monitor 50 Series II for side surrounds. I'm currently using the T15's for rear surround. You must have set up your system wrong or something. I have my surround setup perfectly balanced and in no way do the T15's not hold up their end of the sound chain. Run an auto setup or tweak it yourself, but there should be no reason you can't hear the T15's clearly. Perhaps you were using a receiver mode that didn't properly use the speakers?

Great compact stereo
By GrannyandGrampy247
Our 14 yr. old grandson had picked this stereo out after testing ALL the stereos on ALL the shelves. He is very meticulous about his musical instruments, speakers, headphones and ear buds and when he heard the sounds, tones and bass come out of this compact stereo he was gleaming. Just as they were about to close his brother reached up and found the button that turned on the lights in the speaker! That was priceless!! He had asked for a speaker with lights in it. It works great! People were awesome, got a price match ad, they helped us wrap it up to hide it the day we purchased it! The quality and sound and functionality is a 10 out 10. We have had it for about a month now.
