All unreleased tracks with 3 from the last Zep LP In Through The Outdoor.
As good as any Zep LP. Great packaging, art, liner notes etc. Remastering BOOMS! A great intro to any new fan not familiar with the other Zep LP's. They'll love it! Old fan's will dig it. Get it!
My Best Buy number: 2731995174
What's great about it: UNRELEASED KILLA ZEP!
What's not so great: Could have been a longer

Just got the Fantasy/Concord 2008 Digipak Remastered Cosmo’s Factory at my local Best Buy $6.99! Can't beat that $$$! What an amazing upgrading the remastering did! Man do you get the grit and flame from John Fogery’s voice this time around as well as the whole REAL sound of CCR like fire! The whole CD cooks as do the 3 bonus tracks. 1 ("Up around The Bend")from the 1971 final European Tour an unreleased different hornless & RAW "Travelin' Band" and a 1970 "Born On The Bayou" studio jam with Booker T & The MGS. Booklet is packed with upgraded detail notes and photos. Choogle on out and pick this CD up! Jay Siekierski (AKA: Ras-J)

Sly’s CD I’m Back! Is a Monster!
on November 5, 2011

from Staten Island, N.Y.
Just got the New SLY STONE CD I'm Back! Family & Friends. I am OVERJOYED! Possibly Sly created a monster album out of a Frankenstein patchwork project and it worked! The 3 unreleased '88-'89 tracks "Get Away" (which could be the much talked about "Crossword Puzzle" from this period, 'Eye On The Sparrow" & "Plain Jane" are KILLAS! With SLY handling all the instrumentation! The new remakes of the old Family Stone songs are SOLID. Sly handles the vocals well, though there is no mention that any samples from the Family Stone's Sony catalog were used. Instrumentation is from the producers of this project. Jeff Beck & Johnny Winter turn Killa git work and Ernie Watts blows down the house with his sax on "Stand!". The 3 versions of "Dance To The Music" are here but The Extended Remix-Mix is actually "Music Lover' with bits of the "Dance To The Medley" in it. 2 other club mixes are here also and ROCK SOLID! "Family Affair" [Dubstep Mix] - (remix), & "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" [Electro Club Mix] - (remix, featuring Johnny Winter). Hey... Super color packaging with great photos & detailed liner notes is tops & the CD sound is LOUD! Let's not wait another 30 years for the next album... Man's life span is said to be 100! Dispite SLY having what appears to be 9 lives! a must for any SLY fan!

GREAT JOHNNY ROCK & ROLL AT A GREAT $$$!
on July 30, 2011

Johnny Winter/Rock & Roll People/Sony Music Special Products/
Get this CD while you can! A great budget $ CD from SONY MUSIC SPECIAL PRODUCTS. I say this because these budget CD's do not hang around long in production. This 10 track CD collects some of the GIT SLINGER'S best CBS years recordings. Some are still not available from CBS in the original album/CD form they were first issued in. Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone", John Lennon's "Rock & Roll People", The Stones "Stray Cat Blues" & "Still Alive & Well" makes this CD a must for any old Johnny fan and a great introduction to Johnny Winter's music/Git playing for any new fan. Sound quality is very good. A+

TOM VERLAINE'S WORK STINGS ON THIS CD!
on April 11, 2011
Posted by: J1020
from Staten Island, N.Y.
Tom Verlaine is a MASTER guitarist, songwriter & singer. He is beyond PUNK. He is in complete control of his spirit on FLASH LIGHT as with any of his earlier LP releases. Shimmering git lines along with beautiful vocal melodies tie these songs together. Check out: "A Town Called Walker", "The Scientist Writes A Letter" or "One Time At Sundown" for proven facts. This guy had & still had it together on this release. A must for any TV fan or any guitar lover.

Unique 'Electric' Charged Dub
on February 20, 2011

Black Uhuru’s The Dub Factor LP was originally issued in 1983 on Island. The new remastered CD reissued through Island reggae Classics series is a must for any new comer to BU or BU fan. The remastereing is impeccable with solid deep bass & tight snap drums by the dynamic duo of Sly & Robbie who again supplied the ROCK solid foundation for BU also again produced it. The instrumentation and vocals float like winds in and out of the DUB in a hypnotic trance. 3 bonus tracks are added and are FIYAH. “Fire & Brimstone”, “Cool Off (Carbine-previously unreleased) & “Destination Unknown (Chill Out). Of The familiar tunes “Puffed Out (Puff She Puff)/”Apocalypse (March Of The Duppy” & “Big Spliff (Right Stuff)” are killas! I had this CD on repeat 3xs in a row is a blast!

More A+ Mad Dub From The Alien Himself LSP!
on February 17, 2011
Posted by: J1020
from Staten Island, N.Y.
Lee “Scratch” Perry/Mad Alien Dub/Great American Music Company/2010
First off the liner notes detail LSP career up to 2010. NO info about this 19 track CD is included. To my ears I’ve heard some of this music in different dubs on LSP albums but I can’t place which is where! He’s a joker of sorts. Most of these tracks sound like they could be from the ’76-’78 Island period. Especially from the Roast Fish, Collie & Cornbread (Island 1978) album. Sound quality varies. Uppa tracks: “Kojak”, “Message From The Black Ark”, “Buck Weed” & “Rise Up Kinky”.
What's great about it: A+ MUSIC!
What's not so great: No liner notes about CD.

GREAT INTRODUCTION FOR ANY NEW FRANK FAN!
on February 12, 2011
Posted by: J1020
from Staten Island, N.Y.
Chunga's Revenge is a must for any new fan just discovering Frank solo or with the Mothers. This album contains studio/1 live track when FZ lets drummer Ansley Dunbar & Flo & Eddie strech out in answer avant garde vocal/drum 'answer back'. Both Flo & Eddie & Dunbar went on to become new members in FZ's New M.O.I. for awhile. Ian Underwood is the only hold over from the original M.O.I. FZ's git rips! Serious music & fun topics as usual. This time topics are a bands life on the road. "Road Ladies", "Rudy Wants To By You a Drink" & "Twenty Little Cigars" are tuff stuff! Remastering was approved by FZ himself before his death. Get it! Jay Siekierski (Ras-J) S.I. NY.

LIVE FINALLY GET'S IT'S DUE JUSTICE!
on February 8, 2011

Bob Marley And The Wailers/Live/Island-Tuff Gong/2001
First off: The entire Bob Marley And The Wailers Island/Tuff Gong CD Catalog was overhauled with remastering/updated liner notes & art/bonus tracks and reissued in 2001. Only Babylon By Bus did not have bonus tracks. The remaster CD of Live includes 1 bonus track “Kinky Reggae” along with updated liner notes & art. The bass is very deep & thick and the entire sonic overhaul gave this live recording it’s DUE SONIC JUSTICE! Interesting note about this track. Is this live track from the same show July 17th, 1975 at the Lynceum, London? The reason I say this is because the copyright on “Kinky Reggae” states 1977 and the song was the B side of The Wailers 1975 single “No Woman, No Cry”. However, Live is a must have! This is DI FIYAH! Irie.

First off: The entire Bob Marley And The Wailers Island/Tuff Gong CD Catalog was overhauled with remastering/updated liner notes & art/bonus tracks and reissued in 2001. Only Babylon By Bus did not have bonus tracks. The original Legend CD issued housed 14 tracks. The remastered reissued has 16 tracks with “Punky Reggae Party” & Easy Skanking” as the extras. All the great songs are here “Redemption Song”, “One Love”, “Is This Love” & “I Shot The Sheriff” are all here. This 16 track collection is DI BOMB!
