I tried these headphones out, along with the Ae2 model at bestbuy recently and decided to try the trial for both of the headphones. I will post my review for the ae2 soon. First ill talk about these. Now remember that these headphones are on ear and will not cancel out any noise, which in my oppionion is a downside from the ae2 model. Comfort wise these headphones are good but not perfect, the padding on these headphones is durable and doesn't wear out quickly, but the material is kind of weird on your ears so its not perfect. Durability wise these have a replaceble audio cable, which makes this much more durable. Problem is the cable connects to another cable that goes into the headphones so if that one breaks your done. Other than that these are very thin headphones but seem very durable and wont break unless you break the headphone cable. Sound Quality wise, not as good as the QC3 and 15's but still offer clear and crisp sound. the one thing that did surprise me about these headphones is they have very powerful bass, a little too much for my tastes but if you listen to pop, hip hop, reggae, or rap then you wont have a problem. Rock could be a problem but it depends on how bass intensive the song is so don't worry to much about it. Great pair of headphones, holds up the bose sound quality, but isnt completly perfect in the from of comfort and durability.
What's great about it: Bose sound quality
What's not so great: personal problems with comfort.

I dont know how to put this any simpler, They suck. I go mine with my ipod, which is a great purchase, its just these headphones suck. Now the reason why i rated comfort horribly its because these hurt your ears HORRIBLY. Seriously 10 minutes and these hurt your ears with a throbbing pain. THe ipod controls are ok at best. They are not responsive at all and the mic is horrible. I swear though these things are indestructible, unless your gonna be dropping and hitting it. I have had these for 3 years and they still work like they did on the first day. Now for sound quality, the best part is the mids, they are clear and crisp, just about average for the price range. The highs are there but they are muddy and dont sound like they are supposed to. the lows are just... horrible. Its like they dont even exsist in these headphones. Bass was there but it was exactly like the highs, muddy and not sounding like theyre supposed to. The mids save these headphones from getting a 0.1 they make it a little more bearable to listen to, yet they are still not bearable to listen to. If youre looking for a durable headphone, look nowhere else, but be warned that these will hurt you and the sound quality is horrible. Around this price range i would take a look at skullcandys for good highs and lows but not great mids, maybe sony's if you want a little more bass than the skullcandys, and sennheiser if you want balanced sound. Just a few alternatives if you are seriously considering buying this

I must say you guys these headphones are a cut above the rest, they are litterally what i would call close to perfection in quality. Ill start with whats included, a sturdy carrying case to protect your headphones from damage(this case is to large to fit in a pocket, so bring a backpack), two audio cables, one with ipod/phone controls and one without. A plus to these is that if the cord breaks you can replace the cord not the headphones. Now for features, these headphones give noise isolating technology, and noise canceling technology to cancel out a large portion of the noise. These also do a above average of leaking noise, they still do leak noise just not a large amount. Unfortunatly these headphones require two 3aaa batteries to function, but the headphones dont drain too much power from the batteries. Also a button that will allow people to talk to you and for the music to stop. This button is useful but the music keeps playing while the headphones are muted, so you miss portions of the music. next up: durability, an extreamly durable headset that will most likely not break anytime soon unless your gonna be stepping on it. Comfert is also perfect, with no pain caused anywhere on the head, although they are a little bulky and can get heavy after a while. Now for the not so perfect thing: sound quality. These headphones are not bad at all, they offer perfectly clear mids, lows, and highs. The only problem i have is that i hear similar sound quality coming out of cheaper pairs of headphones, which is why the price for value is marked down. Another problem i have, and this is entirely personal headphones, and this is how powerful the bass is. One thing i must say, these headphones reproduce electronic sounds almost spot on, which makes these amazing for alternative music. Most might be saying, well if the bass is very powerful then why is it a problem, and i will tell you why. When an instrument gets to powerful it starts to make the music sound un-natural depending on what type of music is bieng played. Unfortunatly these headphones, to me, have to much bass, but only a few genres(in specific rock, metal, reggae, and jazz) other than that you will see amazing quality coming out of these headphones. Overall, not best sound quality(pricewise), but still offers amazing sound quality, with that you also get a boatload of feature, detachable audio cables for longer lasting headphones, and amazing sound canceling features with noise isolation, with semi perfect comfort of course.
What's great about it: Comfort, features, long lasting headphones
What's not so great: sound quality for price makes it too pricy, overpowering bass for a few genres

Amazing headphones for the price range, in fact i would say they are the best headphones for the $70 price range. First whats included, the headphones are obvioulsy included, but other than that there is a carrying case, the cord with a 3.5mm jack, and i cant remember if there was a 1/4 inch jack along with it for amplifiers or not because i havent opened the box back up for a while but forget it. These headphones are unique in what most people would want in DJ headphones. Instead of a rotating cup they rotate on the axis on the band, which causes you to be able to hear out of one ear and be completly alert with the surrounding, a new design in the industry that in my opinion is one of the best design ideas. Comfort wise these are great, they go around the ear and dont cause any pain, so i cant mark off there. These don't leak sound to much, if its an extreamly quiet room then people will notice, but at a whisper no one will. Which brings me up to the noise canceling part of the headphones. These are not noise canceling and dont require a battery to run these headphones, but they do isolate noise which is similar to noise canceling but not exactly the same and not on the same leverl. For durability these are good with build design, nothing is flimsy or weak in any way, and i have owned these for a while. The only problem i have, and i havent noticed a serious change yet but i have noticed slight changes to the sound quality, is the single earcup cord attachment. This might not cause as much tangleing but this is a problem because the cord can break inside of the headphones( it has to go through tthe rotators to get to the other cup) and this makes dangerous for the cords durability. Now for sound quality, which you should be waiting for. These are very balanced headphones which can increase bass to a sutable amount for hip hop, rap, and other genres of that type. Drumlike noises are reproduced well enough to know that they are there and to tell what specifically is being played. Vocal wise these are average, nothing amazing or weak about them, but they help maintain the balance of sound. Guitar like noises are reproduced a little above average but dont overpower the rest of the headphones. Electronics are not reproduced amazingly but again help out with the balance of headphones. Bass wise these are great and can be adjusted if you use the eq right, nothing overpowers the song or makes it worse. Great pair of headphones for the $70, reccomend for everyone since they are balanced in every way, and can be adjusted for bass heavy people. Just for info these are not as amazing as say $100 headphones, they just provide good quaality for the lower price
What's great about it: balanced sound quality, Comfort
What's not so great: fear of damaging cord

These are the worst pair of heaphones i have ever owned, but they still hold up skullcandy sound and comfort. They offer good sound quality, but it gets distorted at 60% or above on volume. The bass isn't great but it isn't bad, so pop songs might be decent for it. The comfort is good as always, skullcandy does a good job with this. Now for the worst part, the durability. I bought these in july, first one of the headphones came undone where the glue is supposed to hold it together around a month later, after i fixed it both headphones shut down shortly after, including the one that wasnt damaged. If youre willing to spend a $20 every few months then go ahead, these arn't bad with sound quality and comfort, but these things will not holdup at all, so save up your money and get titan's they will last much longer and offer better sound quality.
What's great about it: sound quality, colors
What's not so great: durability, glue holding it together.

few changes to the review
December 16, 2010
Hey sorry guys, just noticed i had a few typos and another 2 months with these headphones revealed a little more about them. First where it says 3AAA batteries i accidentally typed 3, it should be 2, second the noise cancelation is much better than i thought it was, but it leaked a lot more than i thought it did. I was using these in a workplace environment where people were loud and they couldn't hear anything that was leaked out of the headphones. When i got on a plane i noticed they completely canceled out the noise of the engine which is good, but a person behind me and next to me was constantly tapping my shoulder to turn it down, i had it on my ipod with maybe 20% volume before nothing was heard by people around me. Third, i had to take these headphones back once due to damage on the headphones cracking on the headband, i thought id give them another try, but i would be a little more careful with them. I was much more cautious with the second pair by always putting it in the carrying case when i was done and not pulling to hard when putting them on, couldn't be happier, in other words, as long as your careful with them they will hold up. Now regarding my sound quality issues, i noticed that if you use a bass reducer or some sort, you can get it to much better and suitable preferences for your tastes. Noticing that i didnt really give a full review on the sound quality i will just say that these offer very clear sound, as little distortion as possible, and after thinking about it again these do beat(pun intended) all other headphones in price range that AREN'T intended for studio use(as in they have a 1/4 inch plug instead of a 1/8 inch plug. Again sorry about the typos and hoped i help clear up any confusion.

Simply put, you cant get better for $100
By mrhappyface from denver,CO
These headphones are like i stated in the title, the best of the best for $100. They bring more to the table than almost every other headphone below or around its price range. Many useful accessories come inside of the headphones along with many sizes of buds to fit any ear. The comfort of these is also great, they fit in your ear without causing pain, or feeling awkward in your ears even after long periods of time. Also the microphone and smart remote work very well, i tested them both and they function fine %100 of the time and the microphone allows you to speak clearly over any line. Now the real jewel of these headphones is the sound quality of these headphones. Perfectly balanced headphones, where the mids, highs, and lows are all perfectly defined and do not overpower . This is essential because it allows people to make adjustments with the equalizer to allow any type of music to preform at its full potential. The frequencies of the headphone are also very defined and clear, allowing clean and clear music for your listening pleasure. There is only one thing I have found bad about these headphones, they are built a little flimsy for the price you pay, but not to worry, unless your really hard on them, they should last you for a while. Overall, these are just what id expect from Sennheiser, great sounding, comfertable, and best deal for the price. They're is only one headphone that can maybe beat these out, and thats a big maybe. Trust me, get these and you won't be dissapointed.

For around $100 theres maybe 2, the Klipsch S4 i've tried recently and have to add those, and the other one is the Bose IE2, I tried not to put it into the review, but those are other great choices. If you chose one and you won't be disappointed, they are all great, they're only different in personal preference, if you can try them out before you buy them.

Skull candy over the ear headphones for mowing?

Ok so are the skullcandy snoop dogg skullcrusher headphones a good pair of over the ear headphones to mow with? I dont want to have my music all the way up to hear it, and i dont want to hear the mower.
for mowing id reccomend some sort of noise cancelation headphones, the cheapest ones that will do the job at that price point is going to be able planets. The skullcrushers are a good pair of headphones with very good sound quality, but they don't cancel out any other noise than what they physically do and you'll be able to hear the mower which in turn means that you will have to turn up the volume in order to hear the music to block out the mower. Noise cancelation headphones are specifically made for the purpose your considering them for, so id take a look at them

is sony in ear head set compatible with zune mp3 32 gb..please advice as i am planing to buy one. or is there any other in ear eg bose compatible...pleae advise.
as long as your zune has a 3.5mm(1/8 inch) headphones jack then both of them will work with it. As far as i know Zunes are built with a headphone jack like that, but you can get more info from their website, but i think its safe to say that you can buy them and they will work with them.

Should i get the Beats Studios or the Beats Pro?

i listen to music on a daily basis, my friend has the studios and i asolutely loooove the SQ, but now tht the Pros came out i dnt know which one to get, i also have heard tht the pros SQ is bttr than the studios, is tht true?
In simplest terms the pros offer the better noise, but you need to use it with something that can acctually power them, as in a stereo, dj equipment, studio equipment, etc. If your thinking about using them for use with an ipod then the studios will give you better sound quality.

why are the beats headphones so expensive?

They are high quality headphones, they offer more than your standard headphones come along with( as in sound quality, comfort, and under heated debate, the quality of items used to build the headphones) the better the headphones get the more exspensive they are going to cost. in other words to answer the question, because they are a high quality item and is sold as such.
