I bought this case to house my new iPad Air 2. The cover fits nice and tight around the iPad Air. There is zero chance it will slip out.
I think the rubberized case will protect the iPad, though I don't want to drop it to find out!
The keyboard has a nice feel to it. The keys are positioned well with enough space around the keys for my fat fingers. The keyboard "talks" to the iPad via Bluetooth, so you can detach the iPad from the keyboard, and the two will stay in communication.

The cleaning system works very well too. Caution: it makes a fair bit of noise at the beginning of the cleaning cycle as the shaver is turned on. Don't clean the shaver if your partner is asleep in the room next door!

An old Seagate external hard drive failed, and I could not retrieve the files stored on the device. Geek Squad tech was able to retrieve the data, much to my infinite relief. They had to crack the case open (they warned me beforehand that they would probably have to do it), but that was OK because I needed to buy a new external HD anyway.

This hard drive has a remarkable amount of memory, yet fits in a pocket. I use it as a bckup device for the files, photos, videos, etc on my PC. The automatic backup application works very well. The retrieve function is a little hard to use (you have to drill down through the file structure until you find the files(s) you want to restore). I would give this HD five stars if the functionality was easier to use.

Does this work with the automatic sleep/wake function like the Smart Covers do?
I do not think so. I put my iPad Air 2 asleep by clicking the power button before I close the Zagg lid.

The outside depth includes the handle that sticks out about an inch.

How well does the bin contain the shredded paper?
We have a Fellowes model with a steel mesh bin - it faces the front. The problem is that it "leaks" the shreds of papers so that whenever you empty the bin, the more you need to vacuum. Is this a problem with this model?
The Insignia model (which I own) does not have a mesh on the front of the basket. It uses a translucent piece of plastic so you can see when the bin is getting full. All of the shredded paper stays in the bin.
