I lost a charger when traveling and replaced with something from the hotel shop. That charger only lasted about three weeks before it quit working, but this one has been great and charges pretty quickly.
Midnight Special reminds me a lot of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T., and I think the director openly acknowledges he created an homage to those movies. I like those movies, and I think this movie did a good job of capturing the atmosphere of both.
The trailer shows almost all of the really funny scenes in this movie. It could have been better and funnier, but instead settled for somewhat sweet and predictable.
This is a good movie. I'm not sure how closely it hews to the book, but that really doesn't matter. I thought that having Melville pry the story out of a survivor was a nice touch, since Moby Dick was inspired by the events in the movie.
We enjoyed Hail Caesar, but it was not as good as we thought it would be. It's an homage to old Hollywood, and it was fun seeing recreations of old-style Hollywood scenes, but the movie was not nearly as funny as suggested by the trailer, and lacked some of the depth of other Coen Brothers movies. I suppose it was a bit of a farce, but it wasn't quite farcical enough. By Coen Brothers standards, it was a light bit of fluff.
Dope is both funny and engaging as a predicament movie (for lack of a better word). I was amused throughout, and I thought the movie was well acted and well plotted. Not your typical high school movie.
This is one of my all time favorites. It's definitely a movie you can watch again. Great action, great chemistry between Jean Reno and Natalie Portman (who is amazingly young and amazingly good). A classic.
