The second season of the Canadian crime drama Continuum follows Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols), a cop from the year 2077, as she attempts to prevent a terrorist group from enacting a devastating attack that would permanently alter the course of history.
Continuum, which started with such great promise, got distracted along the way. To some extent they brought the focus back to the original concept. and while I'm happy they gave it a proper "ending" they wimped-out and made it a non-sequitur happy one.
This release compiles every episode from the fourth season of Continuum, a sci-fi series about a cop from the future who finds herself trapped in present-day Vancouver.
while it was great that they brought this series to a conclusion they went cutsie and erased all the most trenchant themes. Glad to have seen it but disappointed in outcome.
This release from the explosive Cinemax series Strike Back includes the show's entire second season, following the story an American and British special agent, who form an unlikely duo to track criminals across the continent of Africa.
I took a chance because I like Olga Kurylenko. It was as good as the average James Bond flic but better looking main character. After the fact I learned the reviews were mixed but I'd still recommend it
The first Sniper flic was actually pretty good but fell off from there though there have been some good moments. I won't say this installment breathes new life into the series but is several notches better than its predecessors. Not a real complex story but was good to see Tom Berenger again (albeit briefly).
I used to love reading about sea warfare of the British Empire and, as a paean to those days this is a fine film. The everyday life aboard ship is portrayed with scrupulous accuracy and the musical score is great.

Fantastic acting by Tatiana Maslany. Got turned on to Orphan Black by staff recommendation from local public library. While there are a few plot holes once started too addictive to stop. Season 1 arguably better than season two but both equally compelling. Do see them both and any upcoming seasons too. The DVD version's picture was very good and the Blu-ray offers no signifigant improvement as the only (minor) negative. If you're very sensitive to (non-gratuitous) graphic gore you might not want to see this.
Oddly enough, I saw this in the theater and wasn't very impressed, but liked he blu-ray much much better.. There were more changes from the books than were evident in the previous films but only one I thought significant (SPOILER ALERT: Katniss's demands of President Coin to be the Mockingjay did not include "I kill Snow". Effie Trinket's expanded role was odd but didn't bother me too much). I also didn't like that they split it into two parts though it's somewhat understandable in regards to overall length. Not as good as The Hunger Games (1st adaptation) but so far better than HG: Catching Fire. IMO this mirrors the quality of the books though pt. 2 will be the determining factor. Blu-ray quality was very good.
Wake up in the morning to this Sony ICFC1TBLACK AM/FM dual-alarm clock radio that features a gradual wake alarm to gently bring you out of sleep. The large, easy-to-read LCD ensures you can view the time in a variety of lighting environments.
Can you wake up to the radio, instead of the buzzer, and if so, can you set the radio volume loud enough that it will wake up a person who is hard of hearing?
if you move the alarm button all the way to the right it will wake you to the radio and moving the volume dial all the way up should wake up even the heavy sleeper/hard of hearing
