Great value for price

My last Canon Pixma All-in-One printer/scanner recently broke down after some heavy use scanning old photos, worked great from the end of 2010 when I bought it new until summer 2013, so I recycled it and replaced it with this one. Hoping I get at least the same amount of life out of this one. Seems to do everything roughly the same aside from a few minor changes. Thankfully they're relatively inexpensive, so not a big risk if they only last a few years. I'd imagine with heavy daily use it wouldn't last nearly as long.

Good for small jobs

I wore out my last home shredder while organizing recently. This one is about the same, a good cheap home office shredder that suits its purpose if you are disciplined about shredding a little bit at a time instead of bulk stuff. The only thing I don't like is the credit card shredder. The way it shreds is parallel to the card numbers instead of perpendicular leaving the possibility of leaving a chunk with the numbers all together even after shredded. I tried feeding it horizontally to ensure the numbers were all separated but it nearly jammed the machine that direction with only one card being fed. So just follow its rules on the front and it works great but test to see if the card is shredded well.

What's great about it: I like the opening that lets me throw stuff in the can without lifting the whole lid off.
