Great Smart Watch/Fitness Tracker
on April 15, 2017

Verified Purchase:Yes
I wavered for a long time about whether I actually wanted to purchase an Apple Watch or not. There are cheaper fitness trackers and a watch is a watch, right? And, I haven't worn a watch in over a decade. But the addition of built-in GPS in the Series 2 watch intrigued me. I still wasn't sold on the idea, but after continuing to waver back and forth I finally decided "What the heck" and purchased this watch.
I'm really glad I did.
I actually use this thing less as a watch (although I do glance at it for the time) than I do a fitness tracker and as a productivity tool. As a fitness tracker, it is easy to record workouts including distance (if applicable), pace and heart rate. The breadth of information you can get through the included Activity app (on an iPhone) is really good, plus there are third party applications that can give you even more information from the watch. Although sleep-tracking isn't built into the watch, there are several good third party apps that allow you to use the watch for sleep tracking and they work well.
As a general use tool, I like not having to fish my phone out of my pocket to get news updates, text messages and to see who is call. You can even make and answer calls on the watch (although you have to have the e pairs iPhone nearby to do so). You can load music onto it to use with bluetooth headphones (without need the phone nearby). I use it to listen to podcasts in the car during my commute to and from work. There is a whole ecosystem of applications for the watch that add a wide variety of functions. And, perhaps most importantly, it is very easy to temporarily turn off all notifications when you don't want to be bugged, but still want the watch with you.
Battery life in my watch has been surprisingly good. I wear and use the watch all day and usually end the day with at least 60% battery life remaining (according to the watch). That means I could use it two full days without having to charge it. I generally wear it to bed at night (for the sleep tracking I mentioned earlier) and plug it in each morning after I get up and go about my morning routine. I will put it back on 45 minutes to an hour later and it is fully charged and ready to go.
Lastly, Apple advertises this watch as being water resistant or some such. I have never tried this out, but it has a function to eject water from inside of it (with the built in speaker). I'm sure I wear it in water at some point, I just haven't found a reason to do so yet.
Overall, I'm very happy I decided to get the Apple Watch.

It's an HDMI Cable

It's a good enough HDMI cable. I purchased it more for the length than anything else (I didn't want a really long cable). Seems to work fine with the Apple TV I'm using it with. There really isn't much of anything else to say.

Great fitness tracker!

I purchased this as a gift for my wife. She loves it. It syncs very well with her iPhone 6. It has really helped her understand how much exercise she gets in a normal day. The sleep tracking function is also useful. She's only used it for a month or so at this point, but so far, this looks to have been a great investment!

Nothing Fancy. Just a good hard drive.

Compatible with...:Mac
Verified Purchase:Yes
I purchased this hard drive to store backups of my brand new Retina MacBook Pro. Being a USB3 drive, the performance of this drive is much faster than the drive it replaced (an older version of this drive).
Western Digital has gotten much better about how it configures these drives out of the box. In the past, they had that stupid partition with the WD software (which, at least for the Mac, was totally pointless) that was next to impossible to get rid of. Not so with this drive. Of course, I still reformatted the drive (as I would recommend you do with any hard drive you purchase) before its first use.
My only worry about this (and any Western Digital drive) is they've had a spotty reliability record in the past. I've heard they've improved, so for the price of this drive, I'm willing to give it a try.

What's great about it: Fast, and basically plug and play.
What's not so great: Western Digital long-term reliability can be spotty.

Simple remote. Does what it says.

This is a very simple, cheap remote. It's not going to wow you with its technical prowess. It's not going to be the cutting edge of design. It is exactly what it says it is: a cheap remote that is actually useful and not something you regret purchasing.
The auto-program function is actually pretty cool (only having to push one or two buttons and the remote is programmed to your TV!), but it only works with certain TVs. If your TV isn't one of those TVs, then there is a lot of button pushing as you enter various codes and hope they're the right one.
But, I needed a replacement remote, I didn't want to pay a lot and this remote fits the bill!

What's great about it: Simple, in theory, to set up, assuming you have the right TV.
What's not so great: If your TV doesn't work with the auto-program, it involves lots of pushing buttons to program.

My wife loves it!

Verified Purchase:Yes
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She absolutely loves it. Every day since Christmas, she's used this (and has just about gone through the variety pack I gave her with it). I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to how the coffee it brews tastes, but she loves it.
It was very easy to set up and very easy to use each time. It brews quickly (not instantaneously, but very quickly). The display is easy to read and easy to figure out the different functions. I do recommend reading the manual before using though. There are some important things there about the first brew.
It is expensive. It's really just a coffee maker. But, for my wife's happiness and enjoyment, it was worth it.
What's great about it: Good selection of flavored coffees, easy to use, single-servings—don't have to make a whole pot.
What's not so great: Expensive up front.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do I need another devise to access information

Do I have to attach an iPhone, computer or some other devise to get a read-out or distance traveled? And, how accurate is it? Do all my steps have to be the same length? How does the watch know I am walking and not riding a lawn mower or four-wheeler?
The built-in screen will show a limited subset of information. For full information, the best way is to use the FitBit app on a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
