Great device but not needed for newer tvs

This is a great device and its really nice especially for older tvs made before the last year or two of the smart tv era. Its very useful for tvs in your house that you would rather not pay a cable company for another tv card.
I like launching apps and seeing google hangouts on the screen a lot.

My only gripe at all would be that you can't launch more than 1 app at once, meaning if you are listening to spotify and you launch say the photos, you can't listen in the background. This is where the old pc hooked up to the tv still wins. But its very convenient to just connect to the tv with say youtube your spotify.
Overall a great product though.

Its ok for your basic text notifications but since it doesn't have a 3g radio and im sure the next gen will, then id probably wait until the next gen version. Watches like the gear s2 are better in that sense, but this does have a good amount of apps supporting it.

It says it was designed for laptop use, but can I use it to build a desktop computer?
No its the wrong size. Unless its a desktop with laptop internals like some slim pc.

How do you program the remote to control a cable box?
I'm having trouble setting up the remote to control my cable box
I would try getting a later updated list of your provided codes for the cable box. Perhaps this tv is too new to be on that list.

Our sound machine is broken and I like the rain setting to be on all night. From reading the specs it seems that the nature sounds are timed to come on when an alarm is set or only for a certain length of time before it shuts off.
It will stay on for as long as you like.

Use with iPod
If I connect my iPod to this radio will I be able to play music or only charge the iPod? If it does play music, what is the sound quality and will it be broadcast through the radio speaker? If it does not accomplish these results, can anyone recommend an am radio with iPod capability that does.
This will only charge your phone. It doesn't have an audio in jack and it will not stream any music to the clock.
