Jaw-Dropping Image Quality

This Epson Cinema 2150 weighs only 7 pounds which makes it very easy to move around. That would not be important if the image quality was compromised but you should keep on reading this. I did not expect a high end movie theater experience but that is exactly what I got. I thought it would be possible only with 4K projectors costing $3,000 and beyond but the Cinema 2150 had my whole family and I amazed. Mind you that I am very close to what you would call a videophile and therefore would not buy anything but an 3LCD projector such as this one for real entertainment.
Unless you are projecting outdoors on a wall being hit directly by the sun, the 2500 Lumens will not disappoint. It was very bright in all my setups. Using a 120-inch screen at 12 feet, I got excellent results. The specs say it can go up to 300 inches at 29 feet away but I did not have such a big screen to put in my yard. Very good keystone correction which will allowed me to get a perfect square every time, no matter how the projector was positioned. Fan was not completely silent but even if you are too close it is not much more noticeable than central air conditioning.
Superior 3LCD technology, advanced settings, fantastic dynamic range and great color saturation besides a really bright vibrant image, this projector will make you wonder why you would go to a movie theater other than the fact the Blu-Ray version is not out yet. Even 3D is available and better than the movies although it requires a somewhat expensive pair of active 3D glasses which are superior to the passive ones you get at your local theater.
Using an Amazon Fire TV stick, I was able to stream movies easily and with great results but I would always recommend a direct HDMI connection to a Blu-Ray player or video receiver. Of course wireless streaming may be a good alternative outdoors if you have a good Wi-Fi connection out there. Mirroring an iPad and iPhone even with live camera was an easy task with the app.
If I ended up sounding like a sales guy, I must tell you that I am not. I was just nicely surprised at the quality of this system.
Summary: I am still looking for flaws in this projector but so far the words bright, vibrant colors, feature rich, compact, great image quality is all I can think of. I have had it only for two days but I do not think it will disappoint me any time soon. The only “con” is that it doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi without a streaming device such as Roku or Amazon Fire TV Stick but this is not something you see in may projectors anyway. It may actually be a plus due to the flexibility.

Almost Perfect

This D-Link Covr AC3900 is easy to set up and the range is great. However, the setup only allows you to set one SSID, so both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz will have the same name. It makes it easy but I personally like to know which one I’m connecting to, especially because 5Ghz has a much better performance and roaming between frequencies may drop your connection entirely which is not good when you are on a call using Wi-Fi.
One issue I experienced was that sometimes my iPhone would stay connected to the extender even when I moved closer to the base unit causing slowness and bad sound quality. When it did reconnect to the base, it would reset or drop the call when using voice over Wi-Fi (Whatsapp app or even T-Mobile over Wi-Fi). However, I have experienced this issue with all extenders I’ve tried. Usually, the problem is not the extender or the base; it’s the phone (or tablet) which can’t roam appropriately. This may happen with other wireless devices as well although IOS 11 and Android 7.1 may fix this issue for many phones and tablets. Right after I updated to IOS 11, the issue stopped occurring as often.
As mentioned previously, if you have both SSID with the same name – and you have to use the same with this unit – you may roam from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz causing a disconnect and reconnect. It seems that is why the issue did not go away entirely after the IOS upgrade. D-Link needs to fix this and allow users to choose different SSIDs for each frequency. Good for the users and good for D-Link.
Other than the issues I mentioned above, I was very happy with the range and performance, even without the extender. Because mesh routers/extenders use a different radio for connecting to each other, performance is usually very good around the base unit or the extenders and the Covr did not disappoint. I can connect at 870 Mbps with an iPad. Downloads and uploads are very good with excellent throughput both way with a very slightly decrease when connected to the extender. I had no issues with streaming to Apple TV, FireTV and iPad at the same time. The parental control is good and simple. I like the many advanced features.
It really is an excellent Wi-Fi router and I would have easily given 5 stars but I would only recommend it for non-technical people after D-Link fixed the caveat above. It usually is an easy fix and my guess is that they can and will do this through a software update by the time you receive your unit. For that reason, I recommend it for technically savvy people. For the others, just wait for the software update if has not already happened.

The Game Router to Beat

This dual core WRT32x is very similar to the WRT3200ACM which already is an excellent router. The design difference is that is completely blacked out. In my opinion, it looks much better than the usual blue. But you shouldn’t buy a router based on looks alone if at all and according to my experience so far the WRT32x has a lot more to offer than just looks.
Setup is very straight forward. You can set up 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SSID as well as guest access. I hate busy and useless dashboards but this is among the best I have seen. It is very clean, has real-time traffic statistics at the top, current internet speed at the bottom and a list of devices to the right.
Clearly designed for gamers inside and out, it has only 4 LAN ports but they are gigabit as is the included WAN port which is a big plus for me since I have fiber internet requiring a gigabit port. The USB 3 and eSATA ports are a must if you use your router as a NAS or just storage and the WRT32x does have one of each and performance was considerably better than my old Netgear NAS which has performed adequately for my needs. If your need is file storage though you might want to consider the Linksys WRT3200ACM instead.
Even if you are not a gamer, you will probably notice increased performance be it wired or wireless, especially on streaming services but keep in mind that this router is designed for gamers and a Killer-enabled PC is needed to really experience its power. Milliseconds do matter when you play online and this WRT32x does improve your odds to beat your opponents even if your connection to the internet is not that all good. It really prioritizes your game traffic above all other streaming devices connected to your network.
On wireless 5Ghz, I was able to sustain 746 Mbps. Actual throughput of 535 Mbps at 10 feet, and 510Mbps at 30 feet. Wired, I got 935 Mbps inside my home network and 928.23 Mbps to the Internet. There are few routers that can beat that but again, the main power of the WRT32x is its ability to give you an edge over other gamers online and it delivered that really well in my tests. Playing Team Fortress on a computer with a Wi-Fi Killer adapter and using a Samsung wireless router, ping took 140 ms. When doing the same test on the Linksys WRT32x, the ping response dropped to 28 ms. Wired to another Killer adapter, latency went from 65ms to 11 ms. All this while I had two 1080p Netflix and one YouTube 4K videos running.
Comparing it to 3 others that I owned before, this is the best WRT to date, especially for games. Superb performance and great value. Highly recommended.

Simple & Efficient

Keurig has become synonym for easy coffee making and this model is no different. Although it is designed for single-serve cups, it does have a large water reservoir allowing you to brew up to 5 times without refilling it.
Having come from a family of Brazilians who love their coffee brewed very strong, this is the closest that I have tasted from an automated brewer. My wife although born and raised in the U.S. without any ties to Brazil other than 3 years she lived there loves the same type of brewing and she is very happy with this coffee maker.
It turns itself off after two hours which is a nice feature for somebody like me who is always wondering whether appliances have been turned off since last use. Bear in mind that although it is automated, it is not programmable which means you cannot schedule it to make your coffee before you leave bed in the morning. If you need something like that, my recommendation is that you buy a more expensive model. Otherwise, this is perfect for quick and easy coffeee making.
It has a good design but it doesn't really stand out. For me, practicality is what counts and it delivers. The fact that it doesn't tie me to a specific brand of coffee is a big plus. It has no wow factor but it does not disappoint.

Outstanding Video Quality and Color Accuracy

Videos played by the LG UP970 look stunningly clear, rich and detailed. I'm not saying that there are no other good Blu-Ray players out there but this is the first in the somewhat low price range that I have tried and was impressed. You almost feel - not just see - the colors as if things were in front of you, not just on the screen. To see what I am talking about, I would recommend playing Planet Earth II 4K. But before buying this player, you need to make sure your TV is not only 4K compatible but also supports High Dynamic Range capability. The images will probably look great on any 4K TV but the wow effect can only be experienced fully with HDR. Otherwise, you can go with a cheaper player. Planning on upgrading your TV some time in the near future is also a good reason to purchase it.
Both Wi-Fi and wired connectivity worked as expected and setup was very easy. It has an option to change frame rates but be sure to only change to 60 fps if your TV has a fast response rate and runs at 120Hz or higher; otherwise, you may see some undesirable artifacts. The default 24 fps worked very well in all my tests.
If you don't have a 4K streaming device like Roku or Amazon fire, you can use this player to stream Netflix or YouTube for instance with maximum resolution and rich colors. Both Netflix and LG UP970 support Dolby Vision which is another format of HDR with even more color enhancement. Again, a compatible TV is a must to take advantages of the technology. Before getting excited about the 2 HDMI ports, be sure to read the guide: it's a good addition but one of them is dedicated to audio for some legacy systems.
The only cons in my opinion are: 1) the remote that feels somewhat cheap; 2)no DLNA support which makes it not a good replacement for streaming players if you host your own movies on your home network; 3) sometimes if makes a loud noise when playing some movies but it does not happen with all. Planet Earth and a couple of others played silently.

Comfortable and on-the-fly DPI Customization

The first thing I noticed when I started using this Logitech G703 was the lightweight and while it felt like I was playing with a feather, I did not like it until I realized it came with a 10 gram (0.4-ounce) weight you can insert into the bottom slot. Many will prefer its feather weight but for me it is a matter of preference and having a choice makes it perfect.
Its lag free performance and extremely accuracy due to its optical sensor and DPI range up to 12,000 makes it the ideal mouse for gaming. The software automatically recognized all the games I play which was an unexpected but welcome feature. A very nice touch is that it has a small button that will change the DPI range automatically, allowing you to fine tune it on the fly for different situations as often as you need/want.
There are 6 programmable buttons, much less than I would wish but its focus on gaming is obvious and works very well as such. Also welcome is the included very long USB cable which allows you to keep playing while it charges. It can also be charged wireless while playing with the optional Logitech G Powerplay mat if you want even more convenience. I cannot say much about that option because I have not tried it.
At first it may look a little like cheap plastic but it is just on the surface because a careful examination will reveal it's sturdier than it appears. Considering Logitech's 50 million clicks guarantee, I am positive it is.
Design and ergonomic is good as long as you are not left handed. The LED lighting is cool even though it may drain the battery quicker (still lasts a least a couple of days with some heavy playing) and it makes it look more premium which is how it actually feels.
Highly recommended for gaming. I would rate it as 4 and a half stars but there is no such option. The half star I would take away is just because of the lack of options for the left handed.

Fried and Healthy in the Same Sentence

After my cholesterol levels went up a few years ago, my family and I have consciously avoided fried foods in general. Baked food may taste good too but the craving for the fried type never really goes away. The Philips Viva Collection Hot Air Fryer fryer gave us hope that we could enjoy that type of cooking again without the extra fat.
No denying that I was a bit skeptical but the result was much better than one could hope for. Even before moving away from fried food entirely, I did not really enjoy the taste of too much fat in it. But what we have tried thus far - french fries, shrimp and even chicken - tasted better than regular fried food. It was juicy and somehow felt fresher. It is unlikely that anybody would still crave for conventionally fried because it is hard to tell the difference in your mouth or even visually, except that it is actually better in many ways.
A function to keep the food warm makes it even more desirable although I wish it had a digital display. Cleaning is very easy due to its nonstick coating and being dishwasher safe. The only regret is that it is small for a family of 2 or more.

More than just features

There is a lot to like about this Ninja Coffee Brewer although I particularly don't like Ninja's TV commercials. Truth be told, I found it very easy to use. Literally at a touch of a button I had coffee brewed and it really brought all the flavor that you don't usually get from home brewers, at least compared to the one this is replacing at our house.
I really enjoyed the Over Ice function. Surprisingly, it did not taste watered down which is common with home coffee brewers. I'm not addicted to coffee but I enjoy a good one, especially freshly brewed. However, I often refuse to make some just because of the waste of time and coffee, especially in the morning before I leave for work. Coffee made with this brewer tastes a lot better than the popular alternative. With it, you can also make just one cup if you wish. It is very fast, precise and automated. No excuse not to brew some coffee as you head out the door. You can also program it so you can wake up and your travel mug will be filled and waiting for you with the fresh drink. Equally important for me is the fact that you have 4 choices of sizes, from a simple mug to a full jar.
Another thing to like is how easy and quick it is to clean. I love automation.

The Mouse to Beat

Having 2 desktops and a couple of laptops, I had used software to extend a mouse to more than one computer in the past but this Logitech MX Master 2S can do a lot more than that. You can actually drag and drop or copy and paste across 2 or 3 computers as long as they are all connected to the same network. It is much more convenient than using a USB drive to copy files between two computers. A very nice touch.
After testing it under different scenarios, I am convinced that the only requirement is a somewhat flat surface, be it wood, plastic, granite or glass. Very precise, specially useful if you rely on your mouse for photo editing or drawing. It surely enhances productivity with its easy customizable buttons which can be configured for individual applications if you prefer.
Along the years, I've used many ergonomic mice but I feel that this is the most comfortable I have ever had. I wish I could find a keyboard this good. It feels a bit heavy when you lift it but in normal usage, you won't notice because if glides smoothly.
With so many features and ease of use, it really impressed me. I looked hard for flaws and you might find some but so far, there isn't anything not to like about it. It is somewhat big for travel but I'd still rather bring it with me than the smaller ones I've had.

Great Marriage

In specs, it may not be the fastest Wi-Fi mesh router out there but considering that very few devices can connect at speeds above 860 Mbps over Wi-Fi, this Samsung Connect Home will feel extremely fast even if you happen to have internet at gigabit speed. There is a Pro model which can reach higher speed if you need it but this one will more than likely meet the need of most for now and beyond..
I was impressed with the coverage and easy setup. You just need to make sure to download the Samsung Connect App before starting; if you don't have Wi-Fi yet, you may need to use your phone data plan for that. I had Wi-Fi from my previous router, so it was not a problem. It can be set up in bridge mode but I found out that it doesn't recognize other devices by name, only by mac addresses unless it is set up the standard way.
Performance was always excellent even when connected to the second and third units which seems to be the rule for new mesh routers. Until then, everything was good but still similar to everybody else's. What really stood out was that this router is also a Smarthings hub which can control compatible devices in your home. Adding my Bose Soundtouch system - which I didn't know was compatible - was very easy and I can now control it with the Samsung Connect app, Google Home and Amazon Echo. As I add more smart devices to my home, I'll be able to take full advantage of it. Marrying Wi-Fi and Smartthings is an excelent idea and can help to speed up the adoption of smart devices at home. I just wish there was a universal standard so you wouldn't have to think about compatibility but that's the way it is with all manufacturers right now.
You need to keep in mind that these units are very small and have only two Ethernet ports which means that if you have a few wired computers/devices, you may need to buy an inexpensive switch to add more physical ports.
I am very satisfied with this product so far.

Yes, it can. Open NVIDIA Control Panel, under Display click Change resolution, ignore the 1080p (native) under Ultra HD SD and scroll down to PC 1920x1080, click on it and change the Refresh rate to 144Hz.

can the dot connect to bose radio to use its speakers?
I don't own Bose radio but it I connected it to Bose SoundTouch and it works great.

If this works with Nest system will it work with Ecobee* system? I We decided against the Nest system due to the class action suits regarding house fires. I would love to add this to our home.
No not yet but I believe it will soon. As far as I know, for now it only supports Nest, SmartThings, Philips Hue and IFTTT.
