Two Sided Printing?
Does this printer have two-sided printing capabilities?
Yes it will print two sided, but you must manually turn the original page over but it will turn the copy itself inside before it comes out.

Does the wireless function well on the scanner?
I am replacing a printer that I spent hours on the phone with hp support to try to get the wireless scanner to work and it never worked. I don't want to go through that again, so I want to know if anybody has had a problem with scanning wirelessly.
It's always worked well for me, although I've only scanned a dozen or so papers.

Is this compatible with Apple products such at the iPad, iPhone or iMac?
Yes it is compatible, I have an Apple iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad & iPhone and this printer prints from all of these. And really prints great documents & photos, I was a little apprehensive about getting it at first but then I ran into an HP rep at my local Best Buy & he answered all my questions and I'm really glad I got this one.

Not sure about your laptop, but it works with the iPhone via the Bluetooth, so I'm sure it will work with you laptop.

It should be, the printer comes with software that you have to down load to your computer.

Does the Envy 7640 come with software for printing photos? If not what software would you recommend?
No I doesn't, so far I haven't needed any photo software, I print straight from my computers & iPhones.

Need telephone landline to send work from computer to printer when you have a wireless system in the house?
Do I need a telephone line installed to send info from my computer on the first floor to a wireless printer on the second floor? I have my TV, Internet and cordless telephones all working from a DISH wireless system.
No, I have my printer hooked up wirelessly, I send print jobs to it wirelessly, when I scan stuff on my printer they are sent to my computer wirelessly as well.
