On first listen, I think it was more listenable than their previous effort. It is a little more straight forward rock, compared to their more spacey prog sound they have been doing previously. A riff here and there that remind me of old Mastodon.

For me after Embryonic, they started to get a little bit out there; with all of the "Fwends" albums and The Terror. This album kind of moves back towards something more accessible, but still not anywhere close to Soft Bulletin or Yoshimi.
