This is basically Star Wars III.5 leading into Star Wars IV without much of a gap in the story. Featuring a number of iconic stars leaving their mark in the SW universe (like the Harry Potter films), this was a most enjoyable addition with interesting characters - including my new favorite droid - and plenty of action. This movie is fun-great either way but it helps if one is already on board the Harry Potter Express. Great new characters, the beasts are also cool, plus an interesting look at how magic, etc, is treated a bit differently in America. I just wish there was a regular book instead of the screenplay for reading . . . .

I haven't played any of the games (tempted but not there yet) so I can't say how it lines up with the game franchise story line, but I liked the retro action sequences and found the contemporary technology construct intriguing as well, as long as I didn't dissect it too deeply.

Great actors clearly enjoying this one. I grew up with the original (Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen lead the cast of luminaries back then) and am a huge fan of Seven Samurai as well, so I was happy that this was also well done.
