A couple things - I didn't know anything about this chapter of the war, so that aspect was compelling, and I'm glad I read some of the movie reviews because it took a bit to adjust to the 3 layers in the film. I think Christopher Nolan is brilliant.
These guys were steering into post-rock before it was a thing. I first heard about them as a 'you might also like' reference and took a shot. I like the strong rock core sound and I'm going to be tracking down more from this band.
The release collects every episode from the debut season of Game of Thrones, an adaptation of author George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" medieval fantasies about power struggles among the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
Actually backfilling this on blu-ray and giving away my DVD set. Fasten your seatbelt and pay attention - lots of different story threads and surprises. Can't wait to see how it ends.
Strong early effort (debut?) from a band that plays high energy songs with updated threads from the 70s, 80s. Very listenable however you like to enjoy your music - backdrop or as an active listening experience.
I really like the Ladytron sound and Seventeen is a bit hypnotic but pretty darned catchy. Several other really good songs as well, although I liked Witching Hour just a bit better overall.
