The Fastest SSD I've Ever Used

The Western Digital SN850X is the fastest SSD I have ever used. Windows boots in seconds. In fact, it takes longer to get through the bios screen than loading into Windows 11. I was able to easily clone my original SSD drive to this beast using Western Digital provided Acronis True Image. It only took about 10 minutes to clone the drive and swap to the new drive. Once installed, I downloaded WD's "Dashboard" software to enable "Gaming Mode 2.0" on the drive. You can set it to auto and select your gaming folders, or just set it to on. I set mine to be on all the time. SSD's are fast in general, but this one is ridiculous. Games are instantly booting and fully loading into gameplay in no time. There is also no noticeable lag or delay while recording/streaming gameplay. I don't much streaming, but I do record a lot of my gameplay at times, and have had zero issues with the drive do far, nor do I expect too. If your in the market a top tier gaming SSD drive, you should definitely check this one out.

Great Gaming Mouse

This is a great ambidextrous gaming mouse. Whether you're righ or left handed, this mouse will feel comfortable and easy to use. Having large hands, I'm a bit picky about the mice I use, and this mouse is bit smaller than most mice that I have used, but it was still comfortable and easy to use. The Alienware Command Center software you must download to adjust settings on the mouse is ridiculous. I get it, Dell has one program that covers all their peripherals, but I don't want to download software that takes over the power management of Windows 11 just so I can change the basic settings like DPI on this mouse. While gaming I did not notice any lag. It performed exactly like a wired mouse. The only issue I have with the mouse itself is that if it sits for a bit, it shuts itself off, which I understand is for saving battery power, but when it wakes up it takes a few seconds for it to fully wake and remember what DPI you are using. It can be annoying. None of the other wireless mice I have used lately do this. Hopefully a firmware update can fix this.

A well balanced wireless gaming headset

The Rig 800 is a well balanced wireless gaming headset. The sound profile suited more towards my liking, balanced, and no overwhelming bass. They do have great bass, and is there when it needs to be. Turning on Dolby Atmos really brings this headset to life. These are pretty lightweight considering they are wireless, but still heavier than most wired headsets I've tried out. If wireless is what you're after, this is probably the set you'd be interested in. The Rig 800 has it all. They are very comfortable, easily adjustable, great sound, and have a charging dock that allows you to charge them without a cable. The mic boom is flexible, and mutes itself while in the up position. There is no supporting application, so these are plug and play with the exception of turning on Dolby Atmos through the Dolby app. The wireless range is decent. I was able to walk out of my gaming room/office to the kitchen to grab some water while waiting for the next map to load without disconnecting. It was about 30 feet away, and quite a few walls. Overall I'm very impressed and would recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset.

An Elite Smart Lock

The Video Elite Video Smart Lock is everything you need in one great looking package. Smart lock, check, finger print scanner, check, video door bell, check. The installation was very easy. In my situation, I already had a deadbolt in my front door. The install didn't require me to do anything other than swap out the locks and strike plates. Even if your door does requires a new installation, the directions on how to do that are included. Once you get everything installed, you will need to download the app in order to activate the lock. Setting up finger prints and pass codes is a fairly simple process through the app. Overall I really like this smart lock, but one feature I have been disappointed with is the video doorbell, but at no fault of the Vision Elite. This smart lock is not storm door friendly, lol. Luckily I already have a video door bell installed, otherwise I would be a bit bigger of a bummer. The on-screen pass code key pad is a very cool setup. It randomizes every time you use it to unlock your door. Another cool feature of this smart lock is that it comes with two rechargeable batteries, and what looks to be a solar charging cell built right into the Vision Elite. And if for some reason the battery does die on you, two keys are included to be able to manually unlock your door. They thought of everything. And of course it does work Alexa and Google.

Phenomenal Sounding Gaming Headset

Let me start by saying I am very impressed with this Arctis Nova Pro gaming headset. The sound profile is very much to my liking. Crisp highs, great mids, and a nice deep bottom end. I know that sound is subjective, but these are very much to my liking. They are also super comfortable. I've wore these hours at a time with glassed on, and feel zero fatigue. They look and feel like high end headphones. These can be used via the headphone jack on your computer, but where these really shine is when you connect them to the included DAC. Things get very interesting. It unlocks 8 channels of virtual sound. The Arctis Nova Pro gaming headset is a real joy to use while gaming. In racing games you can hear opponents coming up behind you and almost pin point where they are in relation to your vehicle. In Call of Duty: Warzone, the same applies. You can practically pin point enemies by sound. The virtual surround sound gives your games a sense or realism you just don't get with regular gaming headsets. A feature I really enjoy on this headset is the mic is retractable. It can be stored right inside the headset until you need it. Most games I play, I play solo, and not having a mic in the way is a huge plus for me. It took me a minute to figure the volume control issue. Essentially, while using the DAC you have 3 volume controls. The DAC, the headset, and the PC. I found that setting the headset and DAC to 100% and using the PC volume control works best for me.

An Impressive Smart Thermostat

Everything about this thermostat looks and feels high quality. The actual thermostat itself feels substantial, solid, and heavy. It comes with almost everything you need to install the unit with the exceptino of tools and directions. I was unable to find a link or QR code to scan to get them on or in the packaging. I ended up on YouTube to find an install video, which ecobee actually made just for this thermostat. I found it odd there was no mention of it. The ecobee even includes an easy to install adapter for your furnace if you don't have a "C" wire. The extra large base helps hide previous thermostat installs, which is a huge plus in my situation. After the installation of the ecobee, the setup is very straight forward and easy, but you must download the ecobee app. The extra sensor detects the temperature and occupancy of the area you place it in. I was also able to connect the ecobee to my Alexa service, and it has a nice sounding speaker built into it. The thermostat has a lot of bells and whistles. It has all the normal features a modern thermostat would have, but it also detects air quality, humidity, and occupancy. Setting schedules for the week required a slight learning curve, but can be done, lol. Overall I quite impressed with the ecobee thermostat.

I've been looking for a GPS tracker just like this for my ATV. This GPS unit is the perfect size for placing/hiding it into my Raptor 660R. It has a rechargeable battery. There is an optional OBD-ii, and hardwire kit available, but in my situation the rechargeable battery is the best option. Battery life is expected to be 10-60 days depending on the configuration. I've had this installed and running for the past week using all the recommended settings via the app, and the battery is still showing 100%. This GPS requires a monthly service fee starting at $16.50 per month, which I'm not too crazy about. The instructions to set it up are straight forward, but I had an issue with the LED indicator not working. I was still able to set it up. Depending on how this works out, I may end up getting a hardwire kit if I decide to continue paying the monthly fee to keep it on.

Cool and Quiet

This is an excellent air conditioning unit. The, "U" shape allows your window to almost fully close when installing the unit. On the traditional AC units, the window closes on the top and leaves large gaps on the sides. This "U" shape eliminates most of this gap. This is ideal for cooling a single large room, like bedroom. It blows cold air quietly. It is fairly easy to install as far as air conditioning units go, and it comes with the support bracket, which is a huge plus. The remote is a nice plus, but for the most part this is a set it and forget it type of thing. This "U" shaped air conditioning unit was installed on/in a mobile home trailer up north on my property. This unit easily and quietly cooled the back half of the trailer/home. The previous air conditioner was much louder than this one. This is my first "U" shape AC unit, and I don't think I'll ever go back to the traditional box type. In fact, I think I'm going to pick up another one for the front half of the mobile home trailer.

Perfect for 1080P Gaming

This pre-built Asus pc is perfect for gaming at 1080p with high/ultra settings. It runs everything I've tried at 60+ FPS at "Ultra" settings. It runs just as well if not better that my 4 year old custom built PC running an i7 8700K OC'd to 5GHz, and an overclocked GTX 1080. This machine is running at stock settings and is on par. I'm very impressed with the RTX 3060. I wasn't expecting the amount of performance this card is capable of. But, with pre-built pc's, there are things that just make you say why? For example, the mouse and keyboard are OK for setting up the pc for the first time, but if you are any type of a gamer, you'll need to replace those immediately. Another major issue I have is that the stock CPU cooler is simply not up to the task of keeping the i7 12700F cool enough to keep it from thermal throttling. Luckily I was able to stick a dual radiator AIO water cooler into the case and dramatically reduced temperatures by over 40C, and no longer do I run into throttling issues. I wish they would have not included the mouse and keyboard and upgraded the CPU cooler. That would of made more sense. The motherboard is the MATX form factor, but there is room in the case and is provisioned for an ATX if or when you wanted to upgrade. I also ran into a weird issue with Windows 11 which there was constant high CPU usage issue. Resetting Windows took care of it, but I was disappointed to have to reinstall everything again. Another weird issue I found is that the bios was power throttling my CPU. Luckily you able to make adjustments to bypass them, but had me feeling like they should have this setup correctly from the factory. Maybe the next bios update will correct this. Also the channel 1 fan header was not working on my system. It would power up on boot and then just stop. Switching the fan to the channel 2 header solved the issue. Overall I'm impressed with the the performance of this system, but would highly recommend upgrading the CPU cooler and mouse and keyboard.

Night and Day Difference

This AIO liquid cooler by Razer is an impressive unit. I installed this into a pre-built desktop I recently picked up. The stock cooler was not up to the task for the i7 12700F. It was tricky fit, but I was able to figure it out. You should have no issues if you're installing this into an aftermarket PC case. The pre-built cases don't leave you many options, but if you can fit this water cooler, it is well worth the time and effort. With the stock OEM fan cooler my temperatures would quickly jump to 98C under high CPU usage, which happens to be where the thermal throttling starts. This is very annoying and frustrating while gaming. Especially in FPS games like COD where a micro stutter usually means a death and a respawn for you. Also the stock cooler was very loud because it was constantly running at high RPM's to try to cool down the CPU. After installing this AIO liquid cooler, the temperatures dropped over 40C while gaming. Another pleasant side effect after installation was that my GPU now runs about 10C cooler during gaming sessions. That is simply very impressive. I'd recommend this to anyone using a fan cooler. Especially the OEM cooler.

Unfortunately, no. It has an integrated Intel HD 520 with no dedicated video RAM. If your looking for a laptop to play those titles, look for one that come with at least and Nvidia GTX 940M. I believe to upgraded version of this laptop comes with that option.
