With the exception of "Alien 3", I have truly enjoyed all of the films directed by David Fincher. I was so fascinated by "Se7en", that I learned a lot about him as soon as I could. Whatever story he chooses to "bring to life" next has always given me a great source of joy in the theater (where I have seen ALL of his films first), and I have purchased each one when it was released on disc (just checked--yep, every one), so the decision to pick up "Gone Girl" was an easy one to make.
His visual style never disappoints.

I watched the first episode of Gotham, just to see what it would be like, keeping my fingers crossed, hoping to enjoy it. It didn't take long to realize that this was one of my new favorite shows. I'm only vaguely familiar with the comic book backstories of the characters, so the re-imagining of them is not only okay, it's welcome. I've so far seen all of the first half of season two, and I hope it goes on for many more.
