By being larger than I expected ,, it can hold my 6 lbs camera setup with no problem and looks like it could hold up to 15 lbs or more ,, then it is your window that is the weak link ... depending on how much you want to tighten the grip on it ...
There is up / down and left / right swivel ,, but no left / right tilt ... You can purchase another brand tilt adapter if you want that ... otherwise it works to hold a scope or camera steady ,, if you want to stay in the car

how large is the basket, how many cups?
one review said it was large enough for the family, well I really need to know how large is it. how many cups or qts of food does it hold?
the basket measures about 7.25 inches square ,and 3.5 inches deep ,, so you just need to do the conversion to cups or oucnes from there ...if you half fill the basket with frozen FF ,, it will fill a 10 inch plate
