Either you love comic book hero movies or you don't. If you do, this is a fantastic addition. I love the story of the "rebooted" (if you can call it that) X-Men and loved this movie as well.

Great action and story, but learning curve online

I love the WWI setting, and I found the campaign to be a great experience. But taking it online was tough, the learning curve is steep and unless you don't have a job/family it will be difficult to get up to par. But with anything, a little bit of time and you'll be just fine. But I would buy this game for the single player campaign alone, the gameplay is tight and entertaining; and the story telling is second to none (as it comes to war games) in my opinion.

Keep unwanted hair to a minimum with this Philips grooming tool. The waterproof design lets you use it in the shower, and eight attachments make this trimmer perfect for grooming different sections of the face. This Philips grooming tool has a turbo setting to increase cutting speed, and it charges in just one hour to reduce wait time.

Great trimmer! Easy and durable
on November 17, 2016

I used a cheap old hair buzzer for trimming my neck and body hair. It did just fine, but it could only get so close (I didn't have a close trimmer). This Philips Norelco trimmer is fantastic. It's rechargeable, which is a huge plus, no need to plug in, and it comes with a nice bag to store the trimmer and all of the attachments. The "body hair" attachment can be a little rough (it feels like it pulls hair) but it does a great job of getting close to your skin. I haven't used the hair trimmer, because I don't cut your hair, but if you shave any body hair this is a great choice. And you can use it in the shower which for me is easier than sweeping up hair on the floor.

Easiest Way to Experience VR
on November 15, 2016

If you have a PS4 and have any interest in VR, you need to get the PSVR. Admittedly, I never once used Vive, Oculus or Samsung VR prior to purchasing PSVR. While I'm a Sony fan, the reason for not buying one of these VR systems was because I didn't have a Samsung phone or VR ready computer. Since I had a PS4, this was my opportunity to enjoy a new videogame experience.
First, the set up. While the plethora of cables seem confusing, the set up process is pretty straightforward and simple. The instructions are easy to follow. But there's a big caveat to the setup!!! You are limited by the cables. Not everyone will experience the problems I have, as it depends on your entertainment setup, but I have a TV above a fireplace and have my receiver/PS4/router/modem, etc. on a stand to the side. I ran my wires through the wall, into my crawl space and back up to where the entertainment system is.
Because of the short PS4 Camera cable, which should be under or above your TV, I had to physically move my PS4 and processing unit away and plug it straight into my TV. This wasn't a big deal on day one, as I was excited to play PSVR. But it wasn't a long term solution. I ultimately bought a PS4 camera extension cable and place the camera under my TV whenever I want to play PSVR.
My other issue regarding setup, which is specific to me, but something to consider, is the requirement for an extra power plug. I literally have an Apple TV, modem, router, Logitech Harmony base, receiver, subwoofer, Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U plugged into my power strip. I had to unplug the Wii U, which is used the least, in order to plug in the processor. Again, you may not have this issue, but given that the PS4 processing unit needs to be in close proximity to your PS4, which needs to be in close proximity to the TV (because of PS4 camera cord shortness) it is something you need to plan for.
The other thing to keep in mind is to take your time in setting it up and going through the menu options to optimize the PSVR settings, it will pay off in the end. I jumped right into playing after hooking the cables up and had difficulties with the tracking system. I also had difficulties setting up the PS Move joysticks. It was the first time I've ever used them and I had to figure out how to set them up too. Not difficult, just takes time.
Second, experience. I was truly blown away the first time I put the headset on and was immersed in a virtual world. This portion of my review is short because no words can sum up that feeling of true audio and video immersion. You really, truly, have to see it to believe it. It's not perfect, maybe one will argue the Vive or Oculus does it better, but I don't care. It is a fantastic experience, even playing the demos.
The only thing I worry about is shortage of games. There's plenty of keep me busy for the time being, but I don't knwo what's coming down the pipeline.
All in all, a must have accessory for any videogame enthusiast.

Great results, but steep learning curve
on November 8, 2016
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I have edited videos in the past using GoPro Studio and Windows Movie Maker. I am by no means a movie editing pro or anything close. I've used Adobe Premiere Pro before and found it overwhelming. While I would love to learn how to use Premier Pro, I just don't have the time to dedicate to learning it.
Since the birth of my son (who's 1 now), I have been recording more videos and wanted to do something with them other than sit on my computer or phone. I liked GoPro Studio, but found it difficult to incorporate pictures and use footage from sources other than GoPro (that difficulty could be user error).
I thought Adobe Premiere Elements would be a nice sweet spot. From what I've read, it was a tamed down and easier to use version of Premiere Pro. In a sense it is, but in a sense it isn't. I was able to create a 2 minute video on the "Guided" setting, which does a decent job of explaining the features and how-to of the program, but it wasn't without its share of headaches and trial and error. (I stayed completely away from the Expert setting). It has a "Quick" setting, but I wanted a bit more control over my videos and haven't run it through its paces just yet.
If you've never edited videos before, and don't have the time or desire to teach yourself, this program isn't for you. It's unintuitive to the uninitiated. It has some powerful tools and effects, but despite Adobe's best efforts, it's still difficult to learn. It's not intuitive to the normal person.
The performance depends on your machine. I have a relatively new Acer R 15 inch laptop with i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and HDD. I found the computer slowing down considerably when using this program. I had to shut down every window and background program to have it perform smoothly. But mostly any slow downs occurred when importing and exporting media. I'm guessing this is maching dependent. I only mention this in case you have an older or budget machine. I don't think you need a top of the line computer, but you'll need something with oomph.
Bottom line is that if you want to edit videos and you are willing to put the time in, this is a program that will help you create amazing results. But in the beginning, be prepared for a steep learning curve. Once you learn how things work though, it's extremely rewarding.
I would also recommend a training guide or how to book. I think running through an example to learn the programs' features to be the quickest way to get up to speed.

Easy to use and fast
on November 2, 2016

I'm not a computer network guru, I can't really tell you about the different bands, speeds, or the internal processor of this router and how it relates to others on the market, I can just speak to real world experience.
First, it's super easy to set up. Screw in the antennaes, plug it into the power outlet and connect your modem to the WAN port. And I love the app; I'm not sure if it's absolutely necessary to use to get everything set up, but it sure beats the days of having to login to your router's IP address in days past. I set it up on my phone including the password in no time.
In terms of speed, I've seen no slowdown. I get 300 MB/s speed through Time Warner and it handles all of our devices. We are a connected home, with several laptops, tablets, phones, Amazon Echo, Nest products, video game consoles, garage door all connected at one time. I can play Xbox Live while my wife streams Netflix 4K in the other room and we have no complaints.
My one psuedo complaint is the footprint of this router. It takes up a good size of space (for a router) and there's no option to stand it up on it's side. I do not like putting a HDD or thumb drive into the USB port of any router (honestly, no real reason or justificiation, it's just a personal decision) so I can't state how well network attached storage works.
I have to mention the Linksys app one more time. I find it extremely useful and easy to use. It's not necessary (I don't think so at least) and I'm not on it every day by any means, but it is a convenient way to look at who's using your network, how many devices are on it and turning on/off a guest network. It's also easy to run some diagnostics on your network and let you know if you're online (I haven't had to yet).

Nice quality, thin and great picture

This is a fantastic monitor. It requires no tools to put together which is a nice feature and the monitor is incredibly thin (see picture). It has a VGA port just in case, and HDMI. It only has one HDMI, but this is strictly a business or work monitor so I don't see the need for multiple HDMI inputs (IMHO).
To that end, it's simple to use, there's only three ports: power, VGA and HDMI and it's bright and vivid. I've had great experiences with HP monitors and I recommend them.

Great design, ordinary performer

If you were to look at the specs of this computer and that's it, you wouldn't be too terribly impressed. I would have traded in a slightly smaller HDD for more speed (i.e. solid state drive).
But this is no normal computer. It is a stylish desktop with a built in speaker. It definitely piqued my interest for a living room PC. True to HP's advertisements, this is a desktop you want seen. It has a nice triangle shape with a fabric cover and loud and vibrant speaker built into the tower. While I don't use the speaker in my home set up (sound goes through my receiver) I was actually impressed when I first set it up with a monitor. While it won't beat a nice set of computer speakers and sub, the inclusion of the built in speaker goes in the "pro" column. This would be perfect for a dorm or bedroom where you have limited space.
Another plus for this desktop is the ease of setup. I remember the days when you would order a computer from Gateway and you'd get a power cable, VGA cable for the monitor, speakers and speaker cables, wires for the mouse and wires for the keyboard. Included with this computer is a power cable, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. That's it. And frankly, that's all you need. I've recommended this desktop to my mother whom is not electronically inclined and hates wires.
It has a good amount of ports, even including a USB c-type port. And I like that the ports are discreet and easy to find. I don't leave my computer on all the time, so I would ahve preferred to have a power button that was larger and a little more accessible (it's a button in the back that is slightly raised from the computer, but difficult to locate with your finger without looking).
My only major gripe is the keyboard and mouse, which are wireless and the wireless connection is built into the computer (vs. having a dongle in your USB port). They are absolutely terrible. I get it, they're included with the computer, but they are cheap. Cheaply made and don't work well. I had to swap out a new keyboard when setting up this computer because of the delays in typing. Now I have a wireless dongle sticking out of my computer that is wasting a port. I'd like to use the connection built into the computer, but I think (I cannot confirm) it only works with HP keyboards and mice.
All in all, if you need a desktop computer for a small room where you can't play loud music (while the speaker is nice, it's not going to blow your next door neighbor away like a true subwoofer would) this is a great option, especially if you fancy the looks, which is honestly, one of the main reasons for buying it. If you don't care what your computer looks like and need to save some money or you need a better performer, you should look elsewhere. But if you buy this computer, make sure you include the purchase of a separate keyboard and mouse, you will be running to the store later to get one if you don't!

Bring the power of Google directly to your fingertips with the Google Pixel. A large 32GB of storage keep data secure, while unlimited cloud storage transfers data as needed, and it's completely automatic. The large 5-inch screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to ensure the Google Pixel remains scratch-free.

Solid performance, but missing some features
on October 24, 2016
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I think it's important when reading a review to know what type of phone the reviewer previously used and how they used it. I think whatever phone we have often dictates what we think about our experiences of the next phone. My last phone was the LG V10. I got it in large part because I never had a LG phone and they offered a nice deal with 200 GB memory card and spare battery and charging case. It was a decent phone, nice quality, but I found the battery life pitiful, the fingerprint scanner erratic, and I had major issues with bluetooth (lot of popping sounds when connected to my car and headphones). But it took great pictures and video. What I liked was having 64 GB internal storage and 200 GB SD card. While I utilized Google Photos, I still liked having a hard copy on my phone that I could pull up at any moment (service or not). I also subscribe to Google Music (as you can tell, I'm invested in Google ecosystem) and I liked storing as much music as I could (around 60 GB) in the event I didn't have service when I played music. With that much storage, I never once thought about space on my phone.
Look and Feel
This is a premium phone. I like the smaller size (I've had phablets for a while, and actually like the downsize) and the build quality. It does look jsut like an iPhone, in fact a friend asked me if I got an iPhone. While I'm no fanboy and don't give one iota about the similiarities of Android phones and iPhones and who might have recycled what design or feature, it is something to point out. The back of the phone has a glass portion where the antennaes are and I actually like it once I saw it in person. It also offers some grip as backwards as that may sound. The fingerprint scanner is awesome and works like a charm. I like the feature where you can swipe down on the reader to bring down your notifications. BUT, be weary, I had to adjust how I held the phone because I would accidentally hit it. I like how the power button is texturized, which helps you distinguish between the power button and the volume rocker. I do with those buttons were higher up on the phone, because my thumb naturally rests above those buttons. But given how little you use them when actually using your phone, this wasn't a big deal.
You might have heard about the wedge shape when looking at the profile of this phone. Yes it has one, but it isn't as pronounced as people may suggest or the pictures you see on websites. You really can't tell.
Performance
This is a lightning fast phone. Everything from using Google Assistant to switching between apps, it is silky smooth. I've had no slowdown, no crashes (yet) and I find the battery to be adequate. I mentioned my LG V10 had abysmal battery life that required to carry a spare battery; the Pixel makes it through the day easily, when using the phone moderately (streaming music, navigation to work, Netflix and reading news sites). So I feel confident that I can leave the house for an extending time without wondering if I charged my spare battery.
I don't often listen to a phone's speakers, but I noticed this phone has stereo speakers and they sound decent for what they are. I've had ZERO issues with bluetooth, either connecting or having the pooping noises associated with my V10.
The charging is super fast, like you'd expect.
Software
I can't compare previous stock Android experiences to this one. But I am very familiar with the Google Launcher and Android Nougat is similar to that layout. But it's an adjustment (this holds true for any phone with Nougat operating system). The notification bar is different and while it looks aesthetically pleasing, I find it hard to locate the settings (go from ringer to vibrate as an example) I am used to pulling up quickly. I still don't know how to put my phone on vibrate other than using the volume rocker to turn the volume down all the way. I'm sure there's a setting somewhere, but this is one of the downsides to moving to a new operating system.
I have tried usign the artificial intelligence, Google Assistant, but I can't really figure out the difference between it and Google Now. It's nice to hold down the home button and start talking, but the features in my opinion aren't any different than what's been accessible since the creation of Google Now. I have no doubt that the engineers at Google would prove me wrong, and I'm certain there are good uses for it, they just aren't obvious. I'm willing to bet with more time I will discover it's usefulness.
I do like the long press on an icon that brings up shortcuts. It's similar to the 3D touch in iPhones. It's a quick way to jump into what you're trying to do.
The notification bar is revamped, and I often find it overwhelming. I appreciate being able to type in a text right through the notification bar, or double-tap an email to go straight to it, but it reminds me of my work email inbox and can be overwhelming at times.
Cameras
When it comes to picture quality, my two criteria are 1) how fast can you unlock your phone before taking pictures; and 2) how do the pictures look? This phone excels in both areas. I won't go into details about the camera specifications, you can look at the specs on Best Buy, but I found that it just works. It's fast, fluid, intuitive, easy to use and the pictures are great. My V10 took great pictures, but it took seconds to open up the camera from the lock screen, and the manual controls (while I appreciated having them) were just superflous to me. I'm not a professional photographer and didn't have the time or effort to change any settings when I just wanted to take a good picture.
Limitations
While I think this is an overall great phone, it has some drawbacks. Storage is number one. This has 32 GBs, and while it's nice to have unlimited Google Photos back up storage, I would rather have ample space for my photos and data on my phone, with a backup of the photos in Google Photos, versus keeping the photos in the cloud. While it's true that one rarely needs to have all their pictures on their phone it gives me comfort. And going from having some 260 GB of storage to 32 GB is somewhat difficult. I might be anticipating a problem I won't have, but it's something to point out. If you can afford it, I'd go with the 128 GB model. No wireless charging. Some people may say this is unnecessary, but I like having a wireless pad that you just place your phone on (I had a Qi sticker on the inside of my LG V10). I like having one on my desk at work and nightstand at home. Looks like an iPhone. I like having phones that are different (hence the V10 and its second screen which I love and do miss). This phone, while nice looking, just looks like another candy bar style phone. It doesn't stick out. USB 3.0 C-type isn't a negative in and of itself, but it is an adjustment. I now have two USB 3.0 C-type cables, both of which came in the box, which renders the 20 or so micro USB cables i've collected over the years as useless. So I don't want to say it's a negative when getting the phone because technology progresses and change is good, it's just something you need to keep in mind. I now have to think about whether or not I have a charging cable in my work bag (where I used to keep micro USB cables).
Conclusion
All in all this is a great phone. It takes some getting used to, particularly the software and relearning to a certain degree how you changed settings or accessed information. It's really fast and fluid with virtually no performance issues. Google included two C-type charging cables in the box which was nice, and a nice adapter to transfer data between your old phone and new one. Not necessary since most of my data syncs through Exchange or Google, but I like the thought. My only big concern is the space. If I did it all over again, I'd get the 128 GB version.
Lastly, this phone is not locked. Verizon sells it unlocked with a sim card inside of it. If you find yourself with this phone and someone tells you its for Verizon, you can pop any major carrier sim card in there and it will work.

Meet the unrivaled, everyday noise canceling headphone for people who want to keep it simple. Hesh ANC is engineered with just the right amount of added features to make your life a little easier without a lot of additional technology that you might not need.

Do these headphones have a mute button and how long is the battery life if using for office calls?

I don't think there's a dedicated "mute" button on the headphones, I didn't find one, so it will need to be controlled from your phone. I never measured battery life for calls, but I've used them for calls (they sound good) and listened to hours of music over the course of a couple of weeks (of and on, not every single day) before having to recharge them. I feel pretty confident you could go a full day of calls without the battery dying.

is there a storage container for the blades with this one or separate?

Unfortunately, there's no storage for the attachments which is a bummer. Obviously there's space in the container for one (where I keep the sharp chopping attachment) and I keep the shredding/slicing disc in a cardboard container that it came with for the packaging.

Use the Google Smart Light Starter Kit to control the lights using just your voice. Set up in a snap: just plug in Google Home Mini, screw in the GE C-Life smart light bulb, and download the Google Home app to get started. Then just say "Hey Google" to dim, brighten, turn on and turn off the lights."

Can I use this to turn off my lights while I am away from home? Also, do I get the starter kit and then multiple bulbs or do I need to get a box thing for each room? Thanks so much

Yes, you can turn off your lights from your phone (via Google Home app) when you are away from home. You don't need this starter kit per room unless you want multiple Google Home minis throughout your home (I have several) but obviously the number of smart bulbs (should you want them) will outweigh the number of Google Home minis you need. In other words, one Google Home mini could control all of the smart bulbs you have in your house. You would just need to be within earshot of that one mini when asking Google to turn lights on and off. For me, I keep one Google Home on each floor of my house

Handle storage demands with this Western Digital SATA solid-state drive. Its 560MB/s read speed and 530MB/s write speed are suitable for intensive applications, and its 2.5-inch form factor fits most desktops and laptops. The solid-state drive has no moving parts, making the drive resistant to shock to protect your data. Includes the WD SSD Dashboard to keep track of the drive's status.

Would this work for a Mac Mini? 2014 and newer??? Or a an older MacBook Pro 13 inch. 2011 version I believe.

Yes, I put it in my 2012 Macbook Pro without any issues. Substantially improved the performance

Does this ssd works on MacBook Pro

Yes, I installed it in my 2012 Macbook Pro. I would find a SATA cable, plug it in to your Macbook and clone your existing HDD, use a small Phllips Head screw driver to remove the bottom plate, unscrew the mounting bracket, insert the pegs from your old HDD to the new SSD using a torx screw (very small) and put the plate back on and that's it. Very simple and painless process

Get the perfect angle for your Arlo security cameras. Easily adjustable mount provides 360 degree swivel and 90 degrees of tilt for the Arlo cameras. It's easy to Quick Start and adjust the camera position for indoor, outdoor, wall and ceiling mounting.

Does it rotate or move?

The base itself doesn't rotate as it is secured to wherever you put it, but the end of the mount (where the screw thread is located) swivels 360 degrees adding a lot flexibility to your placement options.

Does this remote work with Xbox one?

Yes, sort of, depending on what your asking. The remote itself doesn't control anything but commands to the Logitech Home. But yes, the Logitech Home does turn on my Xbox One S. I've controlled a Blu-Ray before but must admit I haven't tried to navigate the console menu.
