Everybody gets cranky when they're uncomfortable, and my husband and I started getting testy at each other as the weather turned warmer... and warmer... until we hit levels of DON'T TOUCH ME DON'T LOOK AT ME. It was too hot, basically. We sat down and tried to figure out why we were so miserable and had started picking fights with each other over the littlest things, and it really came down to being constantly assaulted by humidity and heat.
So we went to Best Buy and bought this.
Best idea ever.
The remote control shows the current temp and the unit shows the target temp, and they never really seem to get to the same, but that's more of a failing in our purchasing one with less power than our square footage required. Even so, we're keeping it on energy saver setting so it doesn't get too overworked, and it's SOOOO nice. at night, we turn it off energy saver and on to cool and it's wonderful.
The remote is pretty intuitive even with all the buttons, and keeping the fan on low limits the humidity getting into our apartment. So WIN.
So we went to Best Buy and bought this.

Are customers able to use the $200.00 promotional egift card toward the upfront cost of any sales tax, activation fees, etc in store at the time of purchase?
When I went in to upgrade my husband's phone, they had me pay for the phone and services, etc, up front, and gave me the gift card upon completion of the transaction. I was, however, able to use the gift card to pay for a phone case in a separate transaction

I plan to use the TV as a pc monitor and I prefer NOT to use the sleep mode therefore:
1) Can you turn the sleep mode OFF?
2) If sleep can NOT be turned off, What is the maximum IDLE time BEFORE the sleep mode automatically starts?

I kept Windows 7 and use a TV as my monitor as well. I found that the thing putting my monitor to sleep was only in my Windows settings. As long as a message was being sent to my TV, the feed stayed active. See Control Panel>Power Options> Edit Plan Settings (change when computer sleeps)
